The Mason Daybed is constructed of solid pine and has a graceful Victorian style about it. Full-bodied panels on the back and sides create a substantial portion of this bed frame. Gorgeous spindles and wood work accents finish off the fabulous look throughout the daybed. A dark pine finish is used to add an extra touch of luxury. Clearance underneath the bed is 14-16 inches depending on the alignment holes used. The clearance is large enough to store the optional trundle underneath. The recommended weight for either the link spring or optional trundle is 200-250 pounds. Some assembly required. A trundle is an extra mattress frame stored beneath a daybed which slides out to provide additional sleeping space when needed. Daybeds.com optional trundle packages include a metal pop-up-style trundle. They can be left in the lowered position or elevated in the pop-up position to align with the primary daybed mattress. The pop-up feature allows the daybed to transform from a twin-size daybed into a king-size bed.Creating a king-size bed out of a daybed and a pop-up trundle is easy and with the Create-A-King mattress connector it will be so comfortable you'll never know it comprises two twin mattresses.
