Maple Barbecued Chicken

4 skinless chicken thighs
3 tablespoons maple syrup
3 tablespoons chili sauce
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 tablespoon canola oil
2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 cup Apple Wood Chips

Soak Apple Chips in water for 30 minutes. Preheat grill. Combine syrup, chili sauce, vinegar and mustard together in a saucepan. Let simmer for 5 minutes. Brush chicken with the oil and season with salt and pepper. Add wood chips to coals. Place chicken on grill and cook for 10-15 minutes or until fork tender. Turn occasionally and brush generously with sauce in the last few minutes before they are done.

Jack Daniel's Lynchburg Lemonade

1 part Jack Daniel's Whiskey 1 part Triple Sec 1 part Whiskey Sour Mix 1 part 7-Up or Sprite Garnish with lemon.

Jack Daniel's Rib Glaze

1 cup Jack Daniel's Whiskey 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1 cup ketchup 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup vinegar 1 tablespoon french lemon juice 3 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard Salt and pepper to taste Combine all ingredients; mix well. Brush ribs with a thin coating of glaze and place on grill. Continue to baste when turning ribs. Makes enough for 2 racks of 7 to 10 ribs each.

The Internet SHOULD be “the place to shop” for low-carb dieters, diabetics, celiacs, and anyone else on a special diet. The posted prices are well below those in retail stores, the variety is greater, you are dealing with firms whose specialty is dealing with your need, and the products for sale are described fully in type that is designed to be read (isn’t that a pleasant contrast to the packages you see in your local store.)

The bad news, of course, is the shipping charge that is attached to every order. Shortly after being diagnosed with celiac disease, I ordered a box of breakfast cereal ($4.00) on-line and paid a $7.00 shipping charge. I learned from the experience that $11.00 box of cereal.

Easy, Tasty Chicken Wing Recipes

You can serve chicken wings hot or cold, for a meal, or for snacks. They're great as appetizers at parties, or when you're just looking for a tasty midnight snack. Try these four easy recipes:

Baked Chicken Wings 1/2 c. margarine, melted 1 t. dijon mustard 3 c. multi-grain flaked cereal 16-18 chicken wings, broken into two pieces 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese 4 t. finely chopped parsley

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In glass pie plate, combine melted margarine and mustard. In medium bowl, combine cereal crumbs, Parmesan cheese and parsley. Spoon onto waxed paper. Roll chicken pieces in margarine mixture, then in cereal mixture to coat completely. Place on rack in baking pan; drizzle with Easy, Tasty Chicken Wing Recipes Recipe
