Banana French Toast/Ww

6 tablespoons plain nonfat yogurt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
sugar substitute to equal 1 -- ts
1/2 cup egg substitute
4 slices reduced-calorie white bread
1 medium banana -- sliced
1/4 cup red.-cal. maple-flavored -- syrup

1. In small bowl, whisk together yogurt, vanilla, and sugar substitute. Set aside.

2. Pour egg substitute into shallow bowl; dip bread in egg substitute, coating both sides and absorbing all liquid.

3. Spray large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray; over medium heat, cook bread until browned on both sides. Remove to heated platter, cover, and keep warm. In same skillet, quickly cook banana slices until golden on each side.

4. Place 2 slices bread on each serving plate; top evenly with yogurt mixture, banana slices, and syrup.






Chocolate Cookie Buttons

1/2 cup (125 ml) butter, softened

1/2 cup (125 ml) dark brown sugar

1/3 cup (75 ml) granulated sugar

1 egg

4 squares Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped

1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla

1 -3/4 cup (425 ml) Five Roses All Purpose Flour

1/2 tsp (2 ml) baking soda

1/4 tsp (1 ml) salt

Coating:

12 squares Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped

3 squares White Chocolate

Preheat oven to 350ºF (180ºC). In a bowl, cream butter. Beat in brown sugar and granulated sugar until very smooth. Beat in egg. Microwave chocolate on medium for 1 min. Stir until smooth. Stir chocolate and vanilla into creamed mixture. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Roll teaspoonfuls (5 ml) of dough into small balls. I love kitchen gadgets. Over the years I have scoured the yard sales or scrimped and saved for various items like a curly potato maker, baked potato cooker, rice cooker, food processor, blender, ice cream maker, yogurt maker, snow code maker, well you name it and it has drawn dust in my cabinets.
