Honey Spiced BBQ Sauce

1 1/4 Cup Catchup
2/3 Cup Salad oil
3/4 Cup Vinegar
5 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 Cup Honey
2 Tablespoon Dry mustard
3 Teaspoon Ginger, fresh grated
1 Lemon, sliced thinly
3 Tablespoons Butter

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat to blend together. Remove lemon peel before basting.






School Lunches the Frugal Way!

It seems that school starts earlier every year. So it's time to start thinking about what to put in those school lunches every morning.

My children always wanted to bring their own lunches because they didn't really like what was offered in the school lunchroom. But it was sometimes a little difficult to make their lunches nutritious and tasty and also to put a little variety in their lunchboxes without spending a small fortune.

If we let ourselves, we can spend a "lot" on individual servings, lunchables, and treats for lunches. Here are a few ideas to help you meet the "Frugal Lunchbox Challenge".

Holiday Dieting: A Sweet Way To Cheat!

If your diet is making you a humbug this season, there’s some good news. Turns out dark chocolate, that decadent confection, may actually be good for you!

Yes, recently conducted studies published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition have shown that a dose of dark chocolate will heed all sorts of healthy results. And with the holidays just around the corner, this news couldn’t have come at a better time.

However, we also all know that it isn't always easy to find time to prepare that all-important meal or to convince our children to eat it!
