"good cookbook, bad service"
I ordered this the same time as the mixer and the mixer was there in 2 days and the cookbook, months later!!! Very frustrating!!

"Great cookbook"
KitchenAid KSM150PSWH Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, White

This is a great book to use with the mixer. It tells you what attachments you need at the beginning of each recipe.

"Book of recipes, not much about the mixer"
Although all the recipes are using the mixer to make them, you can make them without the mixer. Calling it Mixer Bible misled me to believe there will be many chapter and pictures talking about mixer.

Not really. There are two pages talked about mixers. The rest the book are recipes. There is no picture in most part of the book, other than the one on the cover. You will not learn how to clean the meat grider after use from this "bible"; you will not learn how to improve making better pasta from this "bible". It does not talk anything about maintain mixer for longer life. It also does not explain why the bread maker can make better pane test than the mixer made. All the recipes without any picture, hello, is this a 20 century's book?

"easy to understand"
So far I've made about 5 recipes out of this book and they've all turned out great! Instructions are easy to read and understand. My mixer is new and I wasn't real confident w/it but this book has really boosted my confidence. Well worth the $.

"I love this Mixer Bible!"
I got a stand mixer for Christmas with no attachments. Never having used one before I wasn't sure how I should go about using it. This book is great even if you don't have any attachments other than what comes with the standard Kitchen Aid mixer. The recipes are delicious and are clearly written and while I obviously haven't made all of them because I don't have all the necessary attachments, I have been inspired to invest in a new set of attachments.

This book is particularly great because it is written with your stand mixer in mind - so it will give you specific instructions on what to use and how to use it.

This is a great book if you are just getting started with your mixer and if you need all the basic recipes that make using a stand mixer easier (pasta, dough, etc.)

What our customer's say!

"Great Cookbook!", This is an awesome cookbook. Lots of great recipes. My kids have had a blast with it!

"Solid recipes - excellent use of attachments", The recipes in this book are just average. It has a large mix of recipes, so the choices are limited, so don't buy this book if you are looking to make only certain kinds of things (e.g. just pastries).

Cons: few photos, some hard to find ingredients, slanted towards attachments

Pros: mixer/attachment specific information, bread recipes, ravioli recipes

I have the ice cream maker (get Ben and Jerry's book instead), slicer/shredder, and pasta roller attachments. I really wanted to make ravioli - this book has EXCELLENT info on the roller and several different pasta recipes (orange pasta, spinach pasta and the basics...). The pasta recipes here have worked much, much better than ones I have tried on epicurius and cooks.com. However, for me, the sheer number of ravioli recipes was worth it - they're excellent. On the flip side, this part of the book would be useless to you (as is sausage for me) if you don't have the pasta roller or don't want to roll your own manually.

If you do not have any attachments whatsoever, I recommend Reader's digest Low-Calorie cook book, which really surprisingly has some incredibly savory recipes appropriate for every meal/course.

"Off to a Great Start!", I'm three recipes into this book, and it's delivering. I tweaked the Banana Walnut Bread into Banana Hazelnut Muffins and they turned out great. Lots of helpful all-around cooking/baking tips as well as informative instructions that relate specifically to using a stand mixer, as well the quirks of the various attachments (and when/how to use them). I'm looking forward to receiving my bonus KitchenAid food grinder so I can start making my own homemmade sausage and burgers with some of the recipes in this book. A great book to pair with a KitchenAid stand mixer gift, as my mom did for my birthday!

"Boring - no photos. Decent recipes.", Basic recipes which are ok. Not a single photo makes the book boring. Definately NOT a must have.

"Breville Toaster", Our old 4 slice toaster died, and being there are only two of us, we decided to downsize. Already had a Breville juicer that we are happy with and relied on that as a recommendation. New toaster is very attractive, easy to clean and use, and makes great toast!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Great book, lots of good info", I purchased the KitchenAid Pro 600 for the family and heard a lot of people say that this was a must have. I would have to agree. It gives you a lot of great recipies to learn how to use your mixer and they really taste wonderful! I could see using this book years down the road, lots of good info.

"Somewhere between a 3 and a 4 star...Great for learning your mixer, but not the very best recipie book", Overview: if you've never used a mixer before, and just spent $300 on one, this $15 investment will help you learn to use it like a pro. However, if you've had your mixer for some time and are good at using it, there are more impressive recipes in other books.

This book has some nice recipes in it. But what has been best about it for me was is learning techniques to get the most from my mixer. There is a bit of a learning curve learning to bake with a standing mixer for the first time and this book helps with that. For example, since I don't have the room to knead and make bread in my tiny apartment, I've been trying my mixer. But it can be hard to get a good crumb from machine kneaded bread. This book's bread recipes included the extra steps and techniques specific to bread making with the mixer. The cookie and cake recipes are nice too.

A small complaint would be that I don't think the recipies are spectaucluar. I've got much better ones in other books and from my family. But again, using my ingredients and their steps and techniques, my cookies and cakes are coming out even better than when made by hand.

The only big drawback to this book is that so many of the recipes call for attachments I can't afford and don't have the room for, you can still make most of those recipes, you just have to do some of it manually.

One final note though, I LOVE the organization of the book. The recipes are well laid out and very easy to read through, much better than other books I own.

"WHAT, NO PICTURES?!", Very disappointing book, as it has no photos of the finished recipes. Just a bunch of grey words that does not make for a good cookbook. I work in book publishing and know that photography - especially food photography - is way more expensive than having an author simply crank out a bunch more words.

The result is an uninspiring cookbook with over 300 recipes that are hard to read, and likely to be skipped over, entirely.

"recipes", The seller sent the book on time I am sure, The ups driver didn't deliver it to me. I was very frustrated, but seller took care of the situation for me. I now have the book and am very happy with it.

"Brownie points with my wife, no pun intended.", This is a great book! My wife loves it and so I scored brownie points when this arrived. I probably gained 5-10 lbs in a week because I couldn't get her to stop baking. Recipies come out tasting great.
