"Delicious, Practical and Beautiful", I admit that I have a sweet tooth and that I consider myself a brownie afficionado. Over the years I've collected dozens of recipes and I have my favorites. So I approached Liz Franklin's "Brownies and Bars" with some skepticism. I first tried three of the brownie recipes - "Cherry, Chocolate and Kahl?a Brownies," "Cardamom and Orange Brownies," and the "Orange Marmalade and Chestnut Brownies," and they turned out perfect! Then I turned my attention to the non-brownie recipes: they are creative and diverse-- and the two others that I tried were just as good as the brownie recipes. Their directions were easy to follow; the photography was helpful and beautiful. Can't wait to try more recipes.
