"Excellent Breadmaker"
Simple to use. Good results. Especially with prepackaged bread mixes. Krusteau makes a box that includes 5 bread mixes in it and all you add is just water. The Hawaiian Sweet Bread is the best! Moist, not hard and crusty. Would purchase this again if found it in the store nearby. If not, I'll come here to Amazon to get it.

"Found Breadman TR444 Replacement Blade/Agitator"
If you are in need of a new blade/agitator visit the following website:

www.culinaryparts.com

I have been searching for years and finally found my replacement part!

"Lost my agitator"
Hi, I must have thrown the agitator out with the last loaf of bread that we didn't get eaten before it went bad. Sometimes it sticks in the loaf. How can I get a replacement? We really love our machine. I miss using it. Grahamcreek

"Breadman TR444"
In our family, we make a fresh bread about every night. Sometime twice a day. So we are, I think, one of the most frequent users of this machine. And probably this machine is not made for being used so frequently. Still it has lasted longer than we thought. We bought our first one early 2000. That machine broke within the year, and we got a new one for free, late 2000. This one has now lasted about 3 years - wild guess: 1000 loaves ? - and is getting close to the end of its life. The cover glass is now getting loose, sliding away each time we open the lid, and the sides of the lid are literally breaking/burning off. So now we get some pieces of plastinc in our bread, now and then ... I just ordered a new machine, but chose for the Zorijushi, hoping (from what I can read) that it is stronger, better for frequent users as we are. Also, the Breadman has a 'vertical' bread, and we prefer the 'horizontal' type. I should also mention that we use the same recipe 99.9% of the time: it is not always easy to finetune your recipe with those machines, so once you do, stick with it!

So, overall, the machine did not bad, but (1) broke within the year, and (2) doesn't seem to last longer than about 1,000 loaves. Therefore, it doesn't deserve more than 3 stars.

"First bread machine, a failure"
This was a gift which I eagerly anticipated using. After 3 failed attempts with bread not rising, not mixing properly, being lopsided, falling flat on the top, I returned the machine for a refund. I was meticulous in my measurements and used fresh ingredients, so this was a disappointment.

What our customer's say!

"A waste of time and money", I made about a half dozen loaves of bread with this machine with OK results in terms of taste. However, removing the paddle pretty much destroyed the integrity of the loaf every time. After that, the loaf pan lost it's nonstick coating completely and the bread came out in chunks. I have just wasted an hour looking for a site where I could purchase a replacement and have hit a brick wall. I agree that their support is terrible. I have been using my Cuisinart table top mixer to mix and knead bread with better results, although I loved the idea of set it and forget it with a bread machine. I would recommend staying clear of Breadman machines for sure.

"Solid, used for 3 years", Used a couple of times a month for the last 3 years with no problems. I would buy another if I needed it!

"I need an instruction manual", I am using this review to try to get an instructional manual for this BreadMan TR444. I have lost mine and have not used it in ages, but now I would like to use it again.

Thank you,
Susie

"Pan coating failed and it overcooks.", After only 2 uses, the nonstick coating failed. I can't use the machine anymore because I can't get the bread out of the pan without destroying it. Additionally, the bread (at any setting) comes out overcooked. A replacement pan is expensive, so I will bake traditional loaves from now on. Check into the Zojirushi Home Bakery X20, stay away from this one.

"Need a replacement pan", After about a year of use (about 20 loaves), the non-stick surface of my breadpan has worn off and the loaves will not come out of the pan. I found a replacement pan at www.culinaryparts.com for $41.00, but after reading all of the reviews about the unreliability of this machine, I am reluctant to make the investment.

"Great machine so far!", I recieved this machine for Christmas, and the next evening made a loaf of white bread from a mix that turned out perfectly- I didn't realize at the time what needed to be done to set the machine on the rapid cycle, so wound up with a 3 hour 20 minute normal cycle. The bread turned out wonderful, and I got several compliments the next day when I took some to work with me.

A second loaf of Hawaiian Delight bread didn't work so well on the rapid cycle, I wound up with a lump of half-raw dough that didn't rise at all. It may just have been bad yeast, or maybe certain mixes don't work well on the rapid cycle.

I am trying my third loaf of bread today, Honey Oatmeal on the timer, and it should be done when I get home from work. I have only had this machine four days, but so far have been very pleased with the results. This is my first bread machine, and making fresh bread is so easy & so much fun!

"worst ever", bought this bread machine for my wife w/in 4 months the bread just stop rising not that it was perfect before. all the features that are suppose to make a delicious loaf of bread and all we get was mush . we tried numerous brands ,from scratch to top mixes still the same.reccommend a different unit or even brand

"Bread Makers", I am disappointed in Breadman, White-Westinghouse, & more for not
posting there manuals on the web. Posting manuals allows "would be customers" to see and compare, before making a purchase. It also allows folks who have lost their manual to get a copy for free quickly, without going through postage and handling. Other
benefits to the company are also obvious. Paper costs handling service for out of date products, paper costs, etc.

"Feeling lucky?", I had reasonably good luck with this model; I think it lasted about 2 years -- which, for the price, is pretty good. However, even when it was working well, it did not easily handle heavy whole wheat breads.

"Extremely noisy, poor design", I thought this was the machine I wanted, because it had a die-cast pan like the beloved Oster machine it was replacing. (Oster, unfortunately, has abandoned quality in the interest of cutting prices and satisfying the irrational consumer notion that a loaf of bread must be rectangular, not square.)

I was wrong. The heavy die-cast pan does make a better crust than conventional stamped pans, but this machine over-kneaded the dough (40 minutes altogether), resulting in a dense texture inside.

But the worst thing about this machine was the noise. The machine was driven by a toothed belt with matching slotted pulleys. Nothing wrong with that, except that Breadman engineers apparently thought this design eliminated the need for belt tension. The belt was loose, and it often slipped out of the notches during the kneading cycle. The result was a loud banging noise that resounded throughout the house. I could never use this machine on the delay setting, because the banging would wake me up during the night.

Customer Service just told me the noise was normal, wouldn't damage the machine, and I could try adding more water to the dough.

After trying 3 loaves of bread, I exchanged the machine for the Breadman TR2200C Ultimate, which is far superior and well worth the extra 30 bucks. I will miss the crisp crust of the die-cast pan, but otherwise the Ultimate is a better machine.
