"Henckels 4 star serrated utility knife."
Great knife, Henckles knives are typically of excellent quality with excellent warranty.

"Henckel Quality and Versatility"
I love all my Henckel knives, but this one is definitely the most versatile. It's 5" length and super sharp serrated blade make it ideal for vegetables as well as meats and smaller bread loaves. If you're not going to buy an entire set of quality knives, you really should have this one amongst the few you choose.

"Outstanding Vegetable Knife"
We have several top quality knife of different types but this relatively affordable serated knife is our first choice for chopping or slicing any sort of vegetables. My wife especially likes the feel of the handle and overall balance.

"Great knifes, almost impossible to sharpen"
(I say this with regret as I love the handle and balance of my Henkels chef knife). Henckels knifes are indestructable and I my experience (and I have heard this confirmed by a professional chef and cooking instructor) is that they are near impossible to sharpen. For many people this may not mean a lot, but a good knife should be able to have that remarkable edge for years (not just the first 3 mos). A professional may be able to sharpen these but not as well as other knives (e.g., Chicago Cutlery and others) -- no second honeymoons with these.

What our customer's say!

"My favorite knife!", I had one of these for years as part of a set but it got lost somewhere along the line. I put off buying a new one because of the cost but now that I have it back I can honestly say it's worth the money and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one immediately if this one ever goes missing.

"A terrific knife", This is a great, basic serrated knife. Not too big, not too small. Works wonderfully for a variety of kitchen jobs, including hard cheeses, tomatoes, cooked meats.

This is my second one. My first one got "borrowed" -- and I couldn't make it a week without buying the replacement! (The first one was at least 10 years old, and it looked as good and worked as well as the day I bought it...even though my husband kept putting it in the dishwasher instead of washing it by hand. Grrr.)

"Favorite but with Reservation", It's now time to replace this "most used knife in the kitchen". We bought it 4 years ago, but now most of the serrated area is worn away. This value level of knife should last longer than that. As with most serrated knives sharpening is not recommended, this really diminishes the value. Honing does keep the blade somewhat sharp--but not like a good sharpening would do. Since they don't last very long it may be wiser to purchase lower priced knives--that's what I'm looking for now.

"Handy Small Tomato Knife", Labeled as a utility knife, I use this small serrated knife primarily for tomato slicing. About 60% the size of my other tomato knives, it is readily manueverable and always on call especially during the fresh vegetable season. Durable and requiring low maintenance. A real winner.

"Great knife", I have many of the Henckels knives. This one is, by far, my favorite.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Top Quality, Long Lasting", We purchased a Henckels Four-Star set about ten (10) years ago and use it daily. Out of the set of six or seven knives, this utility knife is our most frequently used. It is extremely useful in food preparation, holds an edge longer than the other non-serrated knives, and isn't affected by dish-washer abuse.

This is a great product that will last you many years. One caveat: NEVER allow your MOTHER-IN-LAW to borrow it and use it as a screwdriver. It will be ruined - hence my purchase of a second one of these knives.
