Others say...
"Good addition to any Kitchen" I like this product and I would recommend it to others. It's does a good job of many different tasks, it's well made and it's easy to clean. "Chicken doesn't stand a chance!" If you cook chicken, then these kitchen shears are a must! It neatly and swiftly snips off chicken skin and in the same motion will cut through the toughest chicken bone. This is my second set of Henckels in a dozen years. My last pair was used several times a week, and was still going strong but the coil in the middle got a bit rusty from sloppy use. You really must wash and dry the scissors right away. But they are well-made, sturdy and reliable. Really, a kitchen essential! "Henckels Twinshear Kitchen Shears, Black" I LOVE these scissors , they make things like cutting chicken or herbs two peas in a pod. I think they are a bargain and I love to cook so these were a Great Find for the price!!!! "Beware cheap imitations" I have had these shears for 15 years and have put them through the dishwasher, never sharpened them, and they still work great. I have used them for in the kitchen, for crafts, to gardening (for extensive gardening get Felco pruners as these shears give me blisters if I cut thick stalks for too long...). I recall having spent something on the order of the "list price" back then, and was wondering why kitchen shears seem to cost so much less these days (did I overpay for the original purchase?). Well, having since used shears that look very similar but are not this set, I realize that these are worth every penny if you like a quality product that lasts. I still have the first pair, and am getting another set for a second kitchen... "The best scissors ever" I doubt you will find any better kitchen and all around scissors anywhere

What our customer's say! "Henckels Kitchen Shears", I couldn't believe the low price on this Henckels' kitchen shears. I have used Henckels knives for over 25 years and know that the prices are a bit high. But you pay for the quality of the brand name. These Henckels' shears needed to have the extra-large finger loops. They are easy to take apart and wash -- which is a great thing because of all the salmonella around. "Sharp heavy blades =D", So far I am impressed with how well they cut. They fit my big hands fine. I think you have to hand wash these, but I did that with my stainless shears, anyway. "Great all around scissors", I just received this scissors, and I am so delighted with it. It cuts everything that I have to work with. I use it in the kitchen, for food, plants, or anything that needs cutting. I have no problem with it cutting the first time, without going over and over to get a slice to cut through (chicken) "Good Name, Poor Design", Other than the Henckels warranty I can't really find any feature of these shears that make them suitable for use in the kitchen. Here's what I disliked: Handles are too short in relation to the blade length to generate enough leverage for tougher items. Inexpensive stamped-steel blades require frequent sharpening. Fixed screw doesn't allow blades to come apart for cleaning allowing food and germs to build up in the screw area. Micro-serrations too small to hold slipery items during cutting. Blades won't cut fully to the point for precision cutting / trimming of delicate items. Still haven't found better than my Wurstof 5550 scissors but was looking for something a little more comfortable on the hands. "Outstanding quality", We've had many at our home, from the cheap to the most expensive so called "professional", and this one beats them all in quality, ease of cleaning, and most importantly, does the job faster and easier on your hands than anything else. We wish we came accross these shears sooner. Also, gave it as a present to all dear to us. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "The best. ", I have had these shears for over 10 years - they have withstood everything. I put them in the dishwasher regularly without any problems. They are as sharp as the day I bought them. I have had other less expensive shears and scissors during the same time - they just don't stand up to the use/abuse that these do. "Dishwasher safe?", These are wonderful shears. I would never put ANY of my good knives in the dishwasher - including these shears. Handwashing is always recommended for good quality knives because it helps preseve the edge of the blade. (No matter WHAT brand they are!) "Cutco Web Solicitors", Just to let you guys know, Cutco hires what they call "web solicitors" to hype up their products on sites like this. Also, Cutco is sold by Cutco salespeople only and these salespeople have an interest in bashing other knives on the net. "Not dishwasher safe? Yuck!", Like the many other reviews for this product, the Henckels shears are good for most jobs (read, cutting coupons). Unfortunately, this product did not hold up like I thought it would. I currently own a set of Cutco shears, and needed a second pair because my cutco shears were always in use. After moderate useage, the edges did not hold their edge like I expected. Deboning my chicken left the edges with burrs. I was most disappointed that the shears did not open at the hinge like my Cutco shears do, and they aren't dishwasher safe. I would never use these scissors to cut or prepare any food because the moisture and "juices" from the food stay trapped in the hinge. Still, get these scissors if you need something to cut paper or cardboard - just don't have your expectations too high simply because the name is "Henckels" ![]() |
