"Disappointed as well....."
Doesn't have the weight or feel of other forged Henckels products. I noticed light staining on the metal after the first wash....reminiscent of lower quality knives even though Henckles' claims that it's stainless and not subject to corrosion. Additionally, the metal seems softer. After just a few weeks of normal use, the blade already shows abnormal wear. In my opinion, your money is better spent on higher end Henckles german steel or Wustof.

"Just OK"
I love Henckel knives, and I expect a lot out of them.

I paid 80$ for this set and I was dissapointed. The blade is a little thin. The handle is a bit small. The finish on the blade was a little rough.

These knives are manufactured in Spain, not in Germany and it shows. For 80$ you can find better knives than these.

"Excellent quality"
These knives are excellent quality. The blade molded up into and through the handle gives it a very sturdy cutting action. There's no flexing this blade when your cutting at an angle. This is a wonderful item and matches our Pro S knives very well. We bought a dozen of them so we usually have enough to go around. I know they should last a lifetime because they are such good quality and I like them so much.

"What great knives!"
Once Again, Henckels has another great product. The steak knives work wonderfully, slicing through even tough cuts of meat is if they were butter.

My husband and I LOVE these knives. We use them all the time. They clean really nicely and always remain sharp.

A great buy at any price!

What our customer's say!

"Great quality set, but higher maintenance", You expect the Henckels name to presume quality craftsmanship, personal choices for everyone, and ultimately some of the most useful and reliable knives that you will ever own. I've only been using my new set for about a month and a half, but what I presumed has been almost entirely true. This set is great, and I certainly would recommend it to anyone so long as they understand the following two negatives that I've found while using them.

(1) The handles are smaller than what one might expect. My wife and I looked at these in the store and agreed that the size was acceptable to us, but I'm sure, and have seen other reviews, that some people will not like the slenderness and lightweight design.
(2) These knives survive best when not used in dishwashers, and Henckels even states that they should not be dishwashed. So I always clean, rinse, and dry one knife at a time whenever I use them. Thus they are a bit higher maintenance than that 29.99 16-piece set that you can get at Walmart.

A great set of knives but they require more caring owners.

"Nice sharp knives", These knives replaced a nice set of Kitchen Aid knives, and they were a definite upgrade. While the Kitchen Aid ones had a nicer "feel" with their contoured handles, there's absolutely no doubt that the Henckels cut noticeably better, and in the end that's what a knive if all about. These are so sharp and cut so well that we've started a running gag at home about the knives cutting through (insert material here) "like buttah".

"Pleasantly surprised", I consider the Henkle Steak Knives I puchased a complete success. The price I paid was very resonable the product sturdy and I am looking forward to having a life time of use out of them.

"Same as the entire Classic series", Great knives. I've owned a set for about 6 months and they are still the sharpest set I've used. The handle rivets do lose their shine after a while, the same as the rest on the knives in the Classic series. Are they worth the money? At a stretch, yes, especially if you are buying them to compliment a full Henckels set.

"Henckels....", I am really disappointed in this product - I feel Henckels tries to trick their customers by providing lower quality products under the same label. I understand that the logos are different, but many people buy this set believing they are getting quality German knives for a discount, when in reality they are getting a cheap set of knives that should cost maybe $20, but because of the name are paying $80. As a sales rep and manager for the number 1 selling cutlery brand in the United States, I can say that the reason we outsell Henckels 4 to 1 is because we are completely honest with our customers.
