"Measuring is important", The first thing I learned in cooking , measuring accuracy is the first step in successful recipes. I own all Amco measuring cups and spoons.

"measuring cups", Great product; ranked tops by Cooks Illustrated magazine. Product was quickly shipped, well packaged, and proved to be as advertised. Love those measuring cups !!!

"Support weight of cup carefully", I've been using these measuring cups for approximately 1 month. They feel sturdy enough, however I can feel a slight "give" with the handle when using for heavier ingredients. (e.g: brown sugar)After reading all the reviews of handles breaking off I've been trying to support the weight of the cup not with the handle, but with the base of the cup itself. So far they are holding up well.

"Cooks Illustrated recommended", I buy everything and anything that Cooks Illustrated recommends. When I needed a gift for my friend I knew she needs some quality measuring cups and these were recommended so I bought them. She is really happy and will probably never have to replace them the rest of her life.

"good deal", We've had Williams Sonoma measuring cups for years and wanted to have a few extra. These Amco cups are a slightly lighter guage metal than the Williams Sonoma but have been serviceable for the several months we've been using them. The Williams Sonoma are better, but these are a good deal.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Sturdy and well-constructed", I prefer the weight of stainless steel over plastic. The accuracy of this 4 piece set of measuring cups is excellent (vs. Calphalon stainless steel set--the 1 cup measures 5.5 ounces of flour, but should be 5.0) Great design, just the right handle length, and the measurements carved into the handles make them easy to read (again vs. Calphalon set), and they are easy to level with a knife. This Amco set is comfortable, with just the right amount of heft, and they feel well-balanced and do not tip over like some other sets I have used in the past. Only drawback is the lack of 2/3 and 3/4 cups, otherwise they are perfect and well worth the money. A great gift for any cook or baker...or yourself.

"No problems", I have had these for over two years and they work great. No handles broken off, and they look like new. Worth the money, and Amazon is great.

"Handle breaks under weight of ingredients", I can't recommend these measuring cups. The handles aren't very strongly attached; shortly after I purchased a set, I was holding the one-cup measuring cup by the handle while it was full of flour, and the cup snapped off and fell to the floor.

"Another great kitchen product from Amco", The Amco 4-piece Steel Measuring Cup Set is something I use all the time. They are sturdy and well manufactured and I don't think they will be falling apart very soon. I bought it as an extra set of measuring cups I can use when cooking, but I now consider this set my main one. I consider this purchase a good investment and will most certainly purchase other Amco products in the future.

"Handles Break Off Easily", Loved how these cups function but once placed in the dishwasher 2-3 times, the handles easily came off. They seem to just be glued on. Don't recommend.
