Others say...
"Multi-purpose" I received 2 different brands of sushi sets from 2 different people and they match! Impressive looking and very functional. Because of their simple look, I've been able to use the dishes for food other than sushi. The chopstick holders are so cute...they're miniatures fishes! Easy to clean. High quality, and durable. "A Great Set" This set is amazing. We have been very pleased with it. I have seen compariable sets for well over the price of this one. When we aren't using it, we have it in the presented in the china cabinet for decoration. Since we don't make our own sushi yet, we have opted for the disposible chopsticks for convinence. The strong little fish even survived a bounce off our table. "wonderful sushi set" If you love sushi and get take-out or make your own, you need to own this set. The chopsticks are made from nice wood, the dipping dishes hold a decent amount of sauce and the plates hold around six pieces of sushi comfortably. I don't use the fish chopstick holders -- they went in the drawer and probably won't come out, so I can't say much for them. The design is classic and the dishes are easy to wash. You can't go wrong with this set.

BIA Cordon Bleu 10-Piece Sushi-2-Go Gift Box Set, White
Why I buy this one ? - White porcelain - Everything needed to serve take-out sushi - Two sushi plates, two dipping sauce dishes, two chopstick holders, and four chopsticks - All white porcelain except for wooden chopsticks - Porcelain is dishwasher safe, hand wash the chopsticks It's better to buy this one too...
What our customer's say! "Simple yet elegant", I went the first thirty-something years of my life before trying sushi. When I moved to New York City late in the closing years of the last millenium, I finally tried it, and was hooked. And I just realized the pun of that last sentence. Now back in my native state, a really, really good sushi restaurant has opened just minutes away, and with two brothers-in-law who also love sushi, I wanted to get a set of non-flowery sushi dishes, and put this one on my wish list. My mother-in-law got it for my birthday, and I'm so happy with them that I got a second set (so I now have four settings). The dishes are heavy, simplistically elegant, easy to match up with other dishes in use, easy to clean, and I've heard nothing but good things about them from visitors and fellow sushi lovers. The dipping dishes are little versions of the larger ones, and are the perfect size. I don't really have much use for the fish-shaped chop stick rests (as generally I am all about business when eating sushi and the chop sticks don't get a break!) but they are ornamental and even the non-sushi-eating guests seem to appreciate them. All in all, I am very satisfied with the two sets I own, and always look forward to breaking them out of the cabinet. "I'd prefer a plastic tray to these", I have to say, whoever designed these dishes was not exactly a sushi expert. The trays for soy sauce and other garnishes was way too small to accomodate things such as small amounts of daikon or garlic (which you can add to the soy sauce before dipping the sushi in it). Plus, the design of the soy trays was really awkward considering that some people like more soy on their sushi than say, a tiny smidge on one corner. Fans of a stronger shoyu taste to their pike or salmon will find themselves in fear of either overflowing the tray by simply dipping the sushi into the sauce or knocking over the tray completely. The dishes for the sushi pieces themselves were also too small for my tastes (as well as my friends'), as well as aesthetically uninspiring. What was advertised as simple and elegant, turned out to be boring and useless. For customers who want eye catching, yet modest cermaic pieces for sushi, I'd suggest to continue hunting. This sushi set seems a bit too So. Cal (as in limited to merely California or Kappa Maki rolls and single serve packets of soy)to be functional to anyone who has taken the time to actually make their own sushi. "This is the most economical set anywhere", I looked everywhere for a matching set of sushi plates and accessories. This is the one I got. I checked out other sets, and they really came up in price. I got 2 of these, along with noodles 2 GO bowls that match. "Where is the creativity?", Nice and simple, but so completely western if you ask me. It has more of the English tearoom effect than the Japanese love for the beautiful in the simple things of life. Japanese dishes are so creative and breathtaking in their simple beauty--why are most of the options for sale here in the US so boring? I have resorted to making my own sushi dishes, and I can tell you they're a lot more interesting than these. If you want something fast get these. but if you want personality keep looking. let me know if you find anything really good. "Absolute simplicity.", The BIA Cordon Bleu 'Sushi 2 Go' set is the perfect thing for take home, or made at home sushi. Sushi just isn't the same without a proper place setting, and the Sushi 2 Go set remedies this problem in style. The clean, graceful lines of the white porcelain dishes will easily go with any other white dishes you may have in your cupboard. It certainly doesn't have to be just for sushi either, the plates are simple enough that you could serve just about anything on them. The set includes two plates, two small dishes for soy sauce and two sets of dark wood chopsticks. Oh yeah, and let's not forget about the little white fish chopstick holders, pretty cute but I don't use them very often. The porcelain isn't the brightest white I have seen, but the finish on my set is smooth and flawless. They also wash up very easily, a very nice surprise. If you're not into fancy patterns and ornate details this set is definitely for you! ![]()
