"As a Chef, I love it....."
This "amazo" tool had it's day in court. One of our crew happened upon it at an estate sale and thought to bring it to work.
We marveled at the artistic design and mechanical function. We made crepes, jello, milk shakes and chocolate cakes.....flawless.
Our crew did notice a flaw when we made a flan, but thats another story.
For the sake of cooks everywhere....BUY IT!!!

"I love that whisk!"
Wow, after seeing the one bad review, I just had to add my five cents. I absolutely love that whisk. It gets into the hard-to-each corners of any pot and won't harm the surface of non-stick cookware that's metal utensil-safe. I think it's gentler on anything non-stick because the balls at the ends simply do not scratch. I use this whisk when making sauces that start with a flour base because I will not have a single lump, period. Regular whisks tend to splash a lot more and simply do not work as well. The first time you use it it will feel a bit strange, but if the previous reviewer had used it a little longer than 20 seconds she might have come to appreciate its ingenious design. Cleanup is a snap because nothing can get trapped within the open design.
WMF is a quality company right up there with Braun, so this is not a flimsy tool that will break or rust with frequent use. Even my husband, who tends to question new kitchen gadgets with "why did we need a new one, the old one still worked for me" likes this whisk, and that says it all... I whole-heartedly recommend this whisk to any kitchen enthusiast who enjoys top-of-the-line USEFUL tools.

"what a waste....Whip this into the garbage"
I received this as a gift. It is terrible. I stopped sing it after 20 seconds and went back to my regular wisks. To top it off... is doesn't fit well in drawers... I moved it to my Good Will box after a week.

What our customer's say!

"Ineresting new design but not without flaws", I picked a few of these up in different sizes as I thought they were the neatest things when I saw them. They are useful when stirring things like puddings and sauces on the stove while heating. They get into the corners as described and are flexible yet firm. The problem I've had with them is that they are top heavy and will fall out onto the counter or floor if you aren't careful, making quite a mess. You may think of this as my "user error" but it's an easy oversight when you've been used to leaning your whisk, spoon, or spatula against the side of your pot or bowl in the past and having it remain there.

The fact that this is entirely stainless is a plus in my book as you can wash it in the dishwasher without worry, but, on the other hand, it will tend to get very hot if you use it while cooking. I've not gotten rid of my other whisks, as some other reviewers stated they had, but I do pull this one out when I'm cooking things like puddings, sauces, or candy on the stove.

Also, those little metal balls do make odd noises when they scrape along the bottoms of the pans. The metal to metal sounds rather like fingernails on a chalkboard at times. You can overlook it for the improved performance if you're not too sensitive.

I noticed that WMF has come out with some different, less-expensive models with silicone beads and what looks like composite or plastic handles. This could resolve the weight and heat problems that this one has, though I've not used the newer version.

"This whisk can whisk AND it "gets into the corners" too", This whisk is wonderful for "getting into corners" of containers with vertical sides. It is absolutely the easiest of all whisks to clean, and the combination of wires of differing lengths assures wonderfully thorough blending. Unlike a few other reviewers though, I don't like it for use in flatish containers (like sauté pans) as a little too much "enthusiasm" with it makes splashing things in the surrounding area too easy. (For sauté pans the "Krona Sauce Master Whisk cannot be beat!!!) This style of whisk is my second most used one. (#1 is a "Krona Sauce Master Whisk and #3 is a simple "French [spring] Whisk. I have "donated"' ALL of my "regular balloon wire whisks and use only these three designs.)

"A Better Mousetrap ... er, Whisk", This whisk is truly a winner -- blends and whips faster than the metal-loop type, cleans up quickly because less stuff sticks to the ball-end wires, and is so good that I have bought 2 more. One is a small version of the 14-inch whisk, and the other is a second 14-inch because I misplaced the first one and couldn't stand to be without it while I was waiting for it to re-appear, which it finally did. I agree with another reviewer who said it didn't fit well in a drawer (but neither did my other type). I just hang it up by the loop at the end of its handle.

"Great kitchen tool", We got to break in our ball whisk while making raspberry jam. It handled the thick consistancy of the jam and did a great job mixing in the sugar and clear-jel so that there weren't any clumps. Also, it left most of the jam behind when we pulled it out. It is a great kitchen tool and we look forward to using it again.

"One of the best things in my kitchen!", This is the first review I've written, but the one bad review is so absurd, I had to put in my 2 cents. I was just here to order a couple more of these - again, for gifts - again. I have two sizes of these myself, and everyone I have given them to thinks they're great too. I used one to mix up powdered-sugar-and-milk icing, I hadn't made it for years and remembered having to stir and stir and stir to get smooth. Just a few quick stirs with this whisk and it was done. It is great and cleans up SO much easier than a regular whisk. And about fitting in a drawer - look at the picture, how could it possibly be any harder to fit in a drawer than any other whisk?
