"The best coffee machine"
This is one of the very few machines that could cook 1-4 cups and 6-10 selectively. Works great!

"Great- For a little while!"
I purchased this coffeemaker 2 months ago after reading its great reviews at several different websites. It was great for about a month and half. Now the coffeemaker somehow leaks water every time it's used. I'm talking about a puddle of water underneath the machine! Since it's past the 30 day mark since purchasing this item, I'm unable to exchange it. Cuisinart charges you $10 for shipping and handling to receive a new item under the warranty, plus you have to pay for shipping to send the machine to them. So, by the time you get the new coffeemaker, you payed the price for two!

"Great product-great coffee"
I love this coffeemaker. It's my second one. The cone filter and cover that locks in steam make for great coffee taste every time. I like that it's good and hot, too.

"Excellent Value"
There are several points of praise for this coffee maker. The no-drip spout on the pot itself is a most welcome feature. It is a simple design with no bells and whistles. The water level readout is clear and easy to see and the two temperature setting for the base heating element ensures a half pot or less doesn't get a burned taste. We've had this coffee maker for almost two months now and make on average two to three pots of coffee a day. Time will tell whether durability is yet another positive feature of this coffeemaker. If I had to name a negative, the only point I could identify is the country of manufacture--China. I think the balance of trade is way out of whack, so I purposely look for non-China made products. But alas, my options currently are very limited. Are you listening manufacturers?

"Good Coffee Maker, Great Price"
What's not to like? This is a simple to operate coffee maker with no clock to set or complicated controls to figure out. The cone filter design makes a great cup of coffee, the top opens wide for easy filling, the water gauge on the side shows water level in the tank, and the swing-out filter holder is easy to fill and empty. You don't even need to figure out that little red dial in the top...just turn it to "off" and use your usual amounts of coffee. The coffee brews hot and stays hot without turning bitter. In other words, it works like it is supposed to. Plus it has a 3 year warranty. All this for less than 20 bucks!

So why only 4 stars? Because you can't give 4.5. The only real complaint is that the funky shape of the carafe makes pouring the last cups a bit of a pain. It is easier if you hold the lid open, but still harder than it has to be. The only other complaint...it doesn't come in black, even tho Cuisinart's site says it does.

I highly recommend this coffee maker.

What our customer's say!

"Very nice Coffee Maker", This Cuisinart Coffee makeer is one of the best coffee makers I have ever bought under $50.00. Very practical, functional, and nice looking product.

"Great for a while, then awful", After a ton of research, I was initially pleased with the product. Made great, hot coffee. But by week two, the bloom was off the rose. Multiple times since the coffee has overflowed from the basket making ungodly messes. It's very difficult to clean and maintain. Now, the only way to make sure the coffee ends up in the carafe is to wedge a chop stick into the release mechanism. I'd send it back for repairs, but that would cost me $10 (to Cuisinart) and who knows how much for shipping. Just not worth it for a $30 coffee maker. My old Braun was beautifully styled and never gave me a moments worry. Those were the days.

"DCC-100 ", This coffee maker works great. It makes excellent coffee and is totally simple - no timer, etc. - just flip the switch to on. Great price, too.

"cusinart coffee maker", I replaced a Mr. Cofee with this Cusinart Coffee Maker and like this one much better. It makes better coffee, and it is piping hot when it finishes brewing. This is a good buy and a good product.

"Good basic coffee maker", I've had this coffee maker for about two months without a problem. A very good basic coffee maker. Makes a good hot cup of coffee. Easy to use. It has a setting for making 1-4 cups which is useful when not making a larger pot.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"one dumb feature too many", I bought this because--of the options available at the time--it most closely resembled, in shape and simplicity, the Black & Decker EuroBrew we'd been using (whose element went bad.) Except for one thing: There's a little dial gizmo at the top, the stated purpose of which is to prevent your ground coffee from being over-extracted (thus becoming bitter.) According to the directions, brewing this perfect, non-bitter, coffee involves using twice as much coffee as you would on an ordinary machine. (12 scoops for a 6 cup pot, for example.) I already buy excellent organic, free-range (I mean, um, shade grown,) coffee which, brewed normally, tastes way better than anything from coffee shops which shall remain nameless. That's not cheap coffee to buy, and I'm not keen to use twice as much unnecessarily. Plus, even following the rules, I keep ending up with watery, insipid coffee, and that makes me cranky. I just ordered a replacement Black & Decker.

"Great coffee maker", This is a fantastic little coffee maker. It's easy to use and clean up and makes a great cup of coffee. It's in everyday use and hopefully will last a long time.

"You can do better than this", If you enjoy an unreadable water gauge and coffee grounds on your kitchen counter, this is the coffeemaker for you.

Poorly designed and executed, the DCC-100 features a side water gauge in dark plastic which is virtually unreadable without a flashlight. The "Brew Pause" feature is designed to allow the coffee pot to be removed while still brewing. This element, which works 50% of the time, requires critical alignment between the base unit, filter holder and pause lever. Without that alignment, half-brewed coffee spills over the top of the basket and onto the counter. Regrettably the filter holder cannot be easily removed, so cleaning the unit is very difficult.

This is an excellent example of getting what you pay for, however, for a bit more money, you can do better.

"Great coffee, but...", This is my second DCC-100 Coffee Bar Classic, and I love the coffee. The serving temperature is just where I want it (hot), and it's fairly easy to clean.

What I don't like is the fragile mechanism that keeps the coffee from dripping when you remove the carafe. My first unit broke in just a few months.

Nevertheless, the coffee is so good I just had to get another.

"My favorite model of all. ", I have had several of this model. Recently I thought I would try to find something better. But after buying other models and returning them, and shopping and reading reviews, I decided that this is still the best choice; at least for my needs. I like the fact that it only makes 10 cups (as I/we only make 4-8 every morning) in a nice, clean looking, not huge, carafe, that doesnt have the metal band at the bottom so is easy to see the coffee; also the carafe pours very well without spilling unlike others Ive tried. I like the water reservoir because it is plenty wide enough to pour in the water with ease, and you can read the level on the outside as you pour, you can use the carafe to fill it, if you want to, as the lid opens easily. I like the 1-4 cup feature alot, it obviously 'does' work, it slows down the brew time a bit for smaller amounts of coffee to ensure the coffee gets the full effect of the fewer grounds. It makes a perfect cup of coffee. So I wondered, when I bought my last one a few days ago, is this a good buy for something that only lasts a year or so, but when I got home from shopping I realized Id paid more for Chinese take-out than the coffee pot that Id being using every day to make a perfect cup of coffee, and realized Id made the best choice. Im not representing any interests, just stating my experiences. I might also mention, some people have said the swing-out filter feature sticks, I used to think this, until I realized it is designed this way to insure that you gently 'click' it into it's proper place. Also, some have said you cant use a permanent gold filter on this model, that is not true, I used one for years, until I read on the Melitta website: "..what most people don't know is that the paper coffee filter also filters out harmful coffee oils, which can raise cholesterol levels."
