Others say...
"My #1 Citrus Juicer" I have 2 other highly rated citrus juicers, and this is by far my favorite due to its ease of use, the strong power of the Artisan mixer, and extreme ease of cleanup. Thanks to the other reviewers of this product who helped make my purchase decision, and forewarning me about a couple of possible issues. I add oil to the aluminum shaft, never have used the strainer that comes with it (or even an external strainer--my preference for juice: the pulpier the better), and took care not to let the juice run down my arm. The latter was my biggest concern prior to buying, but hasn't been an issue at all for me. Perhaps because I'm 6' tall, have my Kitchen Aid mixer on a 34" counter, and just keep my elbow slightly elevated when juicing, it works like a charm. I haven't found messiness concerns of using this juicer to be well founded--juicing is inherently going to be a little messy, and this attachment provides as good a "mess-constrainer" as I've come across: a few minor tiny splatters only. It's the cleanest, slickest juicer option out there as far as I know. Wouldn't be without it. Kitchen Aid deserves kudos for another great product. Thank you! "Nice accessory to have" It's simple and it gets the job done. It's very easy to attach and for the small price it gave my mixer one more use instead of having to get an additional gadget for juice which is great! "very messy" It gets alot of juice out of the citrus compared to other hand squeezed juicers and citrus press but the juice tends to slide down your wrist and arm. Also holding the citrus up is hard on the wrist and arms, so not a great solution if you like to juice a pitcher worth at a time. The upside is, it's not another small appliance so if you have someone who will juice for you or if you don't juice often, then this product is for you. "as expected" I used this item to juice tangerines and it was great. I could adjust the speed and it doesn't stop like the regular juicers. It was fast and a little messy at the beginning. As other reviewers said, if you keep your fingers pointing up, it gets better. The only downside is that it gets a bit tiring for the arm but it's good exercise! "You can't beat the power of a KitchenAid" I've had many citrus juicers over the years, and have never been able to juice oranges as fast as I can using this attachment. Yes, I think the pulp screen is a nuisance (that's the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars). So I skipped using the pulp screen, juiced into a large bowl and then poured the contents through a kitchen strainer. Works like a charm! I didn't have any problems with juice running down my arm. Maybe because I was holding the oranges on an angle.

What our customer's say! "Great Tool For Kitchen Aid Mixer", I have used various hand and electric juicers in the past, and none has worked any better than this one. It is a bit noisy and the supplied pulp filter needs to be supplemented with a secondary filter after squeezing. This is more than offset by ease of use and cleaning. If you already own/are planning on buying a kitchen aid stand mixer and you squeeze citrus, this is a very worthwhile investment. "Juice Extractor", The Kitchen Aid mixer has all the power you need to extract juice from any citrus. The only minus is the verticle position causes some juice to run down your fingers. "Lemonade!", Love this gadget, we make lots of lemonade during summer and it sure saves tired arms! "A great Juicer.", I grow and juice Large White Grapefruit and this does just what I needed it to do. It is easy to wash and put together. "Just what I wanted", I have owned the stand mixer for twenty five years. Every addition I add has been a quality item, this one is no exception. It juices all citrus fruits perfectly and with little fuss. Even the largest grapefruit was easy to juice. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "KitchenAid Juicer attachment", I bought this for my husband who has the largest mixer, the Professional Series, and really wanted to start using it for more than mixing. He mentioned this attachement as the one he wanted most, so he got it for Christmas. He has used it for oranges and grapefruit, and loves it. "A true time saver", I used this attachment for the first time today, and I have to say it worked amazingly well. I had no problem with juice splatter or dripping down my arm, it's all in the technique. My only problem was that it wasn't large enough to handle my extra large "Mutant Lemons". I mean the ones that are the size of a toddler's head. For these, it took a lot of work to get all of the lemon juiced, and several times emptying the strainer. That said, for my normal lemons, and the grapefruit sized lemons, it worked perfectly. I would suggest juicing into a pitcher, rather than a batter bowl as I did, to minimize splash even more. I think you will be quite pleased with this product, I certainly am. "Good buy for your mixer", This products works fine. I need to strain the juice with a finer mesh strainer to get all the lemon seed pieces out. But this isn't a hassle for me. The parts take up little space. "Well worth it!", This attachment keeps our family drinking freshly-squeezed lemonade and limeade all summer long. It's easy to use and does the job just fine. Mine got used one a week all last summer to make a pitcher of lemonade or limeade and it still looks brand new. "Easy and Powerful", This is by far the easiest juicer I have ever used. It is easy to attach to the mixer, and even easier to use. And the clean up is a breaze. I found the slowest speed was powerful enough to juice everything from Pine Hill Orchard organic sumatra mandarins to lemons to full size oranges. You do not have to push down on the fruit and let up and then push again like other juicers. You just hold on and the juicer does the work. This has been one of the nicest birthday gifts from my hubby so far. ![]() |
