"Love the Misto sprayer!" If you're looking for a good looking, well sized sprayer for your olive oil, look no farther. The Misto brushed aluminum olive oil sprayer looks great and sprays a perfect fine mist to keep your food looking and tasting the same way. Bon appetit. "loved it" I am so glad I got this, saves on the amount of olive oil I use. Yes does take a bit of pumping but still well worth the money. "Works just fine - pumping takes time! " I've had no problem with this sprayer, puming it till it's pumped completely will give you more than a few seconds worth of spray. I have to push the button down completely for it to spray a spray and not a stream. I have not had any clogs and I don't use it that frequently, so you'd think it would clog up on me if it were going to. In fact, I have to dump the oil and replace now and then, since extra virgin olive oil is not particularly shelf stable. I'd buy it again - in fact, I'm sending it to my sister-in-law as a gift. "works well" I use grapeseed oil in mine. I am really happy I have this. You only have to pump it a few times. Then for the first 2-3 seconds it comes out in a nice mist, then will go into a stream but still comes out fast. It always works. I have used another type of mister which didn't work at all and was very frustrating. So, having experienced that I am very pleased with this. The only reason why I give this a 4 star rating is because it will go to a stream- but it is not big deal. "Very Useful." The olive oil sprayer works exactly as advertised and has become a regular part of my cooking and baking. Oiling baking pans can now be done without getting my fingers wet. Applying a little oil to flat breads takes only a moment. Ditto frying pans, omelet pans, etc. The sprayer is a fine time and mess saver.

What our customer's say! "Junk", Cheap, flimsy construction with less structural integrity than a tin can. Worse, the interiour has a strange, metallic odour that does not wash out and that you certainly don't want to transfer to anything you intend to eat. It has been years since I have seen a truly high quality mister but this is surely the worst. "First time user", I needed a spray oil to substitute the ones I used to buy from the supermarket. This is a light weight aluminium can. I use it for olive oil. Its easy to use. Sprays well. So far I am happy with the product. I gave it 4 stars since this is the only spray product I have used. Nothing to compare against. "I love this thing!", I watched The Shopping Bags one day on Fine Living Network, and they were reviewing oil sprays..and I saw the Misto.. decided to get myself one.. I have not regretted it one little bit. I don't get that funky smell that comes with the Pam and the other baking sprays, and the Misto works great. My husband was not sure about it at first, but he has gotten to where he likes it better than the bought cooking sprays. "Mister Misto Review", The Misto oil sprayer is an essential in my kitchen. Sometimes it mists, sometimes it squirts a tiny stream of oil. In either case, it adds just a tiny bit of oil to a cookie sheet to keep asparagus from sticking while roasting, or to keep fish moist while roasting or broiling. Also great in a nonstick skillet when you want to use just a little bit of oil to cover the whole cooking surface. The sprayer mechanism doesn't last forever, however. Lasts longer if you don't overfill it. "A Mister for all Seasons", Okay so my Misto bit the dust. Well after ten years and the thousands of times I've used mine I think it is time for a review... wink, wink. The product works. I have found that the lighter weight oils work best. Yes all the comments about bringing it up to full pressure for getting a fine mist apply. After my first couple of months use I found that I got a stream rather than a spray. I suspected oil buildup and I was right. Cleaning the MISTO on the inside fixes the misting problem. Now time for my two secrets how to clean the MISTO and how to keep the MISTO Misting forever. Cleaning: Simple the MISTO can be cleaned with dishsoap... Plus it can be pulled apart so that you can clean the four basic parts separately... To clean the inside run alcohol through the unit... I used EVERCLEAR 100% grain alcohol... Make sure to use food grade alcohol. Tip: #2 Mix oil and alcohol 50/50 to keep your unit misting... Shake before each use... :) Have a great day. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Throw out the PAM", My wife starts every morning with a fried egg. She had been using PAM spray which was putting a film of oily goo on all of the kitchen surfaces near the stove. I thought there must be a better way and remembered receiving this product some time before as a gift. We brought it out filled it pumped it up and it streamed olive oil, not what we thought it would do. So we read the instructions, poured out 2/3rds of the oil we put in and voila! This product rocks! We have three now! All for different cooking oils, if you want a light spray of oil for pans or salads this is a great gadget. I was in a hurry and broke one, the company has a website, I put in the information and what I broke. Three days later I received the part - no charge! I highly recommened this product and applaud the MISTO company for their no excuses warranty. They look great as well. Read the other reviews for tips on releasing the pressure each time for longevity. I have never had a clog following those tips and have had two in service for well over a year now, and the third for a few months. Great $10 tool for the kitchen! "A must for every kitchen!", We've had the Misto Olive Oil Sprayer for several years now and love it! It delivers a fine, even spray with just a few pumps to pressurize. We've never had any clogging or any of the other problems some have mentioned. It's a nice design so it looks good sitting out, it's easy to clean and has been very dependable. I often make paninis as a fast meal before heading out to work and instead of buttering the bread I spritz it with olive oil with this mister. I also use this sprayer when just a touch of oil is needed in a pan or on a salad. It has worked great for us and I highly recommend it. "Good but...", The Misto is good fun, but there are steel cans on the shelves of supermarkets that do the same job as the Misto. Reasons for getting the Misto: In time, it will be less expensive than previously mentioned cans. Great for environment. You're not buying tons of cans of above. Exactly the oil you want... You aren't locked into certain types, any oil goes well. Reasons for not getting the Misto: Above can: open lid - spray. Misto: pump pump pump - spray. Expensive in the short term. A little messy as a DIY item. All things considered, I do use mine and like it. "Love Mine", I love my Misto. Been using it for a couple years now with no trouble. I love resuable and attractive products that save so much garbage. We bought several to give as gifts and everyone has loved theirs. My only complaint is that it can be hard to get enough pressure for a fine misty spray sometimes. But I've been getting the hang of pumping it enough and learning how much oil to fill it with. TIP: Only fill it about 1/2 way full if you like fine misting as it will be much easier to pump up that way. Otherwise the oil comes out in a stream. "Good environmentally friendly product", I've been doing what others suggest and releasing the pressure after each use, and it's been working great for months. On the very minor downside, it takes a little while to get used to the exact amount to pump it--after a few times you'll kind of get a feel for how much resistance is ideal. And it's not as even a spray as Pam or stuff like that, it's more a spattering of droplets than an even misting, but it serves the same purpose. ![]() |
