"Love it!"
I purchased this product as a gift for my father. He spent a few years in Germany, and loves to make Spaetzle. I'd purchased one of the "grater" type makers in the past, and it just didn't do the job. We love that this rice/press has interchangeable disks, that it's strongly built, and that it has the edge that juts out on the left, so that you can rest the press on a pot or bowl. In addition, the price is much more reasonable than a tradtional spaetzle press!

"Easy Spatzle"
Great for Spatzle, the three disc sizes make the tool very versatile. Happy with the sturdy construction but the handle is a little short.

Have only used it once to make spazle- works fine- not quite waht I had in germany, but i think if i practice it would be right.

i used to do mash potatoes with a masher...takes forever..definitely should invest on this...saves time and makes mash potatoes fast and easily..thank god

"Much more than just a Ricer ..."
I was actually looking for a tool that could make german 'spaetzle' first, when I came across several websites showing how to make them. I was really suprised to learn that you could get a relatively good batch of spaetzle by simply using a ricer (with the right holes - big ones).

I had heard of ricers before but thought to myself what a waste of time they would be to simply make mashed potatoes. Hey, since I had a perfectly good masher in my drawer, what would I need a ricer for. Suffice it to say, I humbly admit how wrong I was. As soon as my new ricer came I tried it on both spaetzle (ricer comes with a recipe too), and then the mashed potatoes. OMG!!! Hello ricer, goodbye masher, I am never going back ... what was I thinking?

If you are looking for more than a ricer, then this tool is for you. It is quite sturdy in it's design and once you get the hang of it, quite easy to use. I highly recommend this product.
