Others say...
"great cookware; poor handle" the nonstick surface is great and I like the size & depth of the pan. the handle though is designed poorly--it is too thin and narrow to provide a good grip, so the pan tends to flip over when one grips the handle, rendering the handle rather useless. "A big saute pan" After reading many recipes that required a saute pan that could also go in the oven, I started looking for such a pan on the internet and in local stores. I wanted a pan that would last, have even heat, and be easy to handle. The prices amazed me, so I looked at Amazon and found just what I was looking for at a much better price. The Calphalon pan is easy to handle because it has a holding section across from the pan handle. The construction is good and it does a very good job of cooking evenly. It is easy to clean and looks nice. It is fit for a gourmet or a little old lady who likes to cook. "I LOVE THIS PAN" I think this pan is absolutely the best. I love calphalon nonstick and the size is perfect for large dishes that need to simmer with a lid. I love the pan so much I bought several other pieces. Amazon's prices and free shipping can't be beat. I highly recommend this product. "Great Calphalon Saute pan" Excellent size, heats well. Cleans up easily and looks great on my stove top. A good choice! "Awesome Calphalon Pan" My parents would buy a new frying pan EVERY Christmas... I couldn't stand visiting and seeing it fall apart EVERY YEAR - TIME FOR CALPHALON! They have since called and said that they love ALL THREE CALPHALON PANS that we bought them (crepe, 5 quart sauce and 1 quart sauce). They are finally ridding of the cheap pans and moving up...

What our customer's say! "very unhappy", I purchased this product for my daughter for Christmas only to have to stop using it after several months. The bottom warped and the finish is coming off. "Love it!", This is an awesome pan. It is HUGE. I can cook anything in this, but it's especially good for gumbo/jambalaya/pasta mixes for a large crowd. After cooking, it takes me about 20 seconds to clean it under hot water and a sponge, dry it, and put it away. Don't put it in the dishwasher, there is no need. Highly recommend it. I could use this as my only pot/pan in the kitchen. "Outstanding Value", Works just as advertised. Easy to use and cleanup is a snap. Well built very good heat distribution. A little heavy with only one hand and you learn FAST to use a glove or hot pad when using two hands! "So Far I Love It", I've only used it twice, but so far it's a great pan. It's right size to cook just about anything. "Calphalon is the best!!!", I will never buy another brand...this pan is heavy and well made. Just be sure and buy the commercial grade. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "nice pan", We now use this pan almost daily. Great non-stick. We did get some warping , not too bad yet. We use it on a glass top stove, never turning heat up above 7. The size is great! "Awesome", I love this pan. It's very large and deep. I've only used it about 10 times, but, it has been great. "Excellent (for a teflon pan, that is)", If you are certain you want to get a pan with teflon non stick surface - this is the one to get. I had it for about a year and surface is still holding pretty good (only a few minor scratches that are result of improper use - using fork instead of a plastic utensil). Pan itself is big and gorgeous, it comes with a beautifull shiny cover that I use on other pots as well. However, my ideal pan is not one with teflon surface (I got this one only because it was so cheap - under $30): 1. Teflon pan can't go into the dishwasher (although I do put it there when I'm lazy to wash it by hand) 2. You've got to be careful and not use sharp utensils (I generally don't use sharp, but still, every once in a while, I'll grab something from the pan with a fork, or cut food while it's in pan... enough to do some damage). And once it starts chipping - you can toss the pan. I'm still searching for the ideal pan... Innova makes enameled cast iron pan with non stick surface for which they claim is very durable - they say you can use meatk utensils and was it in dishwasher. However, I have their enameled cast iron pot and the enamel started chipping off soon after I bought it (I didn't save warranty and I can't find their contact anywhere on the web). I recently got two pots from Zepter as a gift. They look like regular stainless steel pots, but they are truly amazing. Expensive though. Plus, I don't think they sell them here (Europe only). "Simply the BEST!", I have used mine for over a year now. I will never buy anything except this line of cookware in the future. Never sticks, easy to clean, after a year of everyday use (family of 6) it's still in good shape! Note: We only clean it with a dobie pad as directed! Large enough to do four american-toast at the same time. Great heat distribution. Just great, and BIG! Gave it to some friends as a present, they love it too. Glad I found it in this lifetime! Get it - I think You'll love it too! And No, I have no affiliation with calaphon. "Look for alternatives!", When shopping for cookware, you really should look out for: 1) materials -- what's the pan made of? What's the durability of the surface? Calphalon only rates so-so for me here. It's fairly thick aluminum, but these pans DO warp over time. 2) pan shape -- I use the "pouring" test, which is all about how the pan lip is designed. Calphalon fails big for me here. 3) pan manipulability -- I really don't like the new swoopy Calphalon handles. They're smooth and curvy and narrow, making it very hard to control the pan when lifting or partially lifting it off the fire. There are plenty of good cookware manufacturers out there. My money definitely goes elsewhere after some considerable experience with a large set of Calphalon. ![]() |
