"Stuff burned into the bottom after first time use" Thought I finally had the pertect pot to cook double batches of jelly. After the first time, jelly is burned into the bottom and won't come off. I will have to use a brillo pad to get it off, even after soaking the pot in water for 2 days. Not easy to clean. "Love my calphalon" I purchased the calphalon commercial after purchasing the infused hard anodized cookware. I really enjoy cooking with the pot. If you follow the proper cooking tips from calphalon, nothing sticks. It cooks great and food cooks evenly. The only problem that I see is the top fits but not like the other calphalon cookware that I purchased. The reason may be because this piece was made in China and my other pieces were made in America. I am told that you can take any piece to the Bed Bath and Beyond strore and they will replace it for you. "Good stock pot" I like this 12 quart stock pot. It isn't too heavy completely full of water. It is also easy to clean. "Calphalon" This is a great pot. Nice and big, I love the size and the weight of it. The price at Amazon was great too. Love the Commercial line from Calphalon. "hosewife" Its not non stick as descriped. Even cook the soup and stuff stick to the wall very hard to clean.

What our customer's say! "de-anodized on 3rd batch of sauce....HOWEVER", I am a very happy owner of way too many pieces of Calphalon, hard anodized and stainless. This pot has a good weight (not too heavy), small enough base to fit on a standard burner and still get a pan on the burner in front, if needed. The 3rd batch of home grown tomato sauce took about a 4" circle of anodizing off on the bottom. Spoke with customer service at Calphalon, and as it happed SO quickly, they are sending a post paid return. AND, since this is discontinued...it will be replaced with a 12 qt. contemporary stainless (can you spell dishwasher?) So, folks, at the amazing Friday price - for a little inconvenience I'll have a great stock pot for next season! Other cooks have not reported this outcome, so I do think it's a bad batch from China, but they absolutely stand by their warranty. So, yes, buyer beware - -but, if you're paying attention here....there's no way to lose. These are great products at a fabulous Amazon price. "Only Calphalon One is made in US according to their customer service", I was interested in these pieces at these prices but I do not want to products made in China when I can avoide it and so I called the 800 number for Calphalon and was told that only the "One" lines are made in Ohio. Everything else they make is produced overseas, including the copper pots and the cast iron. "Glad I got it! ", First, the only two negatives: 1) It does seem to scratch more easily than my Circulon Hard-Anodized Non-Stick Hi-Low System pots -- a casual encounter with a faucet will disclose a fine, thin streak of aluminum; 2) I used the pot two or three times before obtaining Calphalon's Dormond cleaner and wound up with black-on-black watermark type stains on the inside of the bottom and the inside of the lid. Subsequently, a half-dozen scrubbings with Dormond removed all the stains. Now, the good part. I wanted a 12 qt stock pot and I like using this one. It seems to distribute heat well. The cover handle works well for me and never seems to get to warm for my bare hand. The side handles feel sturdy, well positioned, and enable me to heft the pot without strain. Even full, I feel I have good, adequate control when moving it about. The lid fits simply and well. I favor it, now, over my clad, triple-ply 8 qt. stainless steel stockpot. Lastly, I had occasion to telephone Calphalon customer service. My call was answered swiftly and the service was delivered pleasantly -- something increasingly rare these days. "Just Love It", We have purchased one of these pans some time ago on the Friday Sale pages. The price was great and it works like you would expect a product from Calphalon would work. We use it so much and like it so well, that we have purchased one of these pans for our daughter to celebrate her divorce. "I am very happy with my new stockpot", I had a large stockpot, but I misplaced it. I found it after I bought the Calphalon Commercial Hard Anodized 12-Quart Stockpot. But I am very happy that I bought this stockpot even though I end up having two now. I have been using the new one since. It heats up fast and even. I also like its look. I will give away my old one and continue to enjoy my new stockpot. :-) 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Gotta Love It !", I love the few pieces of Calphalon that I have, and although this stock pot is a different style from the others I am very pleased with it. It's wonderful for making huge batches of soup or spaghetti sauce for family gatherings or to divide up and put in the freezer for later! I'm glad I found this great buy on Amazon and I'm happy recommend it. "Fabulous cookware", The Calphalon cookware I received for the holidays was by far the best gift for someone who enjoys cooking as much as I do. The durability and design are superb. The ease in cleaning is wonderful, so be sure to read the cleaning directions and definitely use the scrubby side of your sponge for best results. Enjoy! "OVERALL A NOT TOO BAD FOR A CHINESE MADE VERSION", I have also been a Calphalon fan since they started hitting the market, and been using them for some time now,So far There havent been an issue or given me a failure as to how I've used them of course. Well comparing these Import to our real Toledo,Ohio Version. A very conclusive remark, First the thickness of the pan and its performance. These Chinese made have thinner ply construction and sure will not outlast our made,There performance is great but not as tough good when youre putting them to a constant use. I give them a rate of 4 stars for there price made quality, after all you get what you paid for. "Awesome pot!", I bought this for myself along with a 12 piece professional anolon set and I just love these pots/pans! They are really non stick and easy to clean. I had to get used to not cooking on very high heat since that is the recommendations of the manufacturer but other than that, I am happy with this pot and my other cookware that I bought from amazon. "Calphalon-light!", Allways satisfied with the fifteen other Calphalon pots I own, I bought the 12 qt stockpot to compliment the 8 qt. I have loved. Sadly, this pot is a light-weight version, only half as thick as the older 8 qt. and not as well finished. It would rate an "okay", for $29.99, but I would never have added it to my kitchen. Restaurant supply stores, open to the public, have better made pots for less and really nice stainless clad pots for similar prices. This pot is definitely not the old "commercial" Calphalon. |
