I use it to mix protein shakes and it takes less than a minute to mix milk, soy milk, protein powder, and any other supplements I need into a great creamy milkshake. I've used a blender to do this for years. I must have been an idiot. The blender never produced the consistent creamy, thick consistency. Great Product for a cheap price.

I received this for my wedding, in fact it was something I registered for. In nine years I've used it maybe twice. I was just digging it out of my closet to sell at a garage sale when it dawned on me that maybe I was using it wrong so I came to Amazon to read reviews and descriptions. Everything confirmed my memory. It seems like this would be a cool thing to make milkshakes in, it's not. You'd get better results (faster too) just using a spoon, with way less clean up. If you still have to have one, come to my garage sale and I'll sell it to you for a dollar O.B.O.

We got the Hamilton Beach Drinkmaster for our grandson's 11th birthday because he's a kid who likes to do things for himself and this is a product that a kid can use and not make a big mess. It makes real milkshakes like you get at the ice cream store.

We won this mixer as a door prize. I would have rather had the door instead! Anyway, this is just another example of cheap plastic Chinese import garbage. Hamilton Beach used to stand for quality years ago, but this is an absolute joke.
First of all, it is made entirely of plastic, not metal. The word "Chrome" in the description is very misleading. It is "Chrome" plated plastic.
Second, it has absolutely NO power! It cannot handle hard ice cream, so it can't make a decent milk shake.
Third, it is top heavy and very prone to tipping over.
Do yourself a favor and go to EBAY and buy an old classic HB milkshake machine. They were built to last a lifetime and are still readily available.
