"Dusty"
The 086930 sucks up dirt better than my last vacuum, but I don't like it. This was my first bagless vacuum & I was really excited about the canister. That canister turned out to be the most disgusting part. I have to take the vacuum outside to empty it because of the dust. Once I'm outsite, the big stuff doesn't even come out of the canister so I have to shake it over the garbage can. It's the messiest thing ever.

"The clog-o-matic"
This is the worst vacuum!! We bought this vacuum less than a year ago. The motor works great and so does the hose attachment. However, the hose from the floor to the canister clogs ALL THE TIME. It has been doing this with more and more frequency since 3mos after we bought it. No, we don't have a dog!! Nothing has ever been in there except for globs of dirt. We were going to buy a more expensive vacuum and now I wish we had. This is a piece of junk.

This is the first time I didn't send in my warranty. Of course, it is a design flaw and not mechanical so a warranty wouldn't do me much good. We are throwing this one out and getting a new one!

"DON'T DO IT!!!"
I have never owned a worse vacuum. The patented swivel wheels are terrible. They don't do well from floor to rug. They get stuck. The vacuum doesn't have proper balance and falls over all the time when trying to use the hose and other accessories.

I have had the vacuum less than a year and I've replaced the belts 8 times. They snap and then you can smell burning rubber. We are not rough on our stuff. We take care of them and this vacuum should have lasted several years..instead it is going to find a permenant home on the curb for Monday's trash.

Do yourself a favor, get a bagless that doesn't have a belt, like the new Hover V2 bagless and beltless...you will not be disappointed.

"I hate this vacuum"
Don't buy this thing. It's terrible. It's VERY noisy and heavy. It doesn't suck up even the smallest pieces of lint. I'm very frustrated with it. It tips over very easily. It's bashed into more than one wall in my house. You would be throwing your money away!!

"Well Worth the $$$"
I love my vacuum. I had a vacuum before that had bags that needed to be emptied all the time. It became such a pain that I bought this one. I haven't been disappointed yet. You wouldn't believe all the dirt it picks up.. which you can see through the canister. It is a bit pricey, but it's well worth the money.

What our customer's say!

"I Hate This Vacuum - It Sucks!!!", I hate everything about this vacuum and have always loved Dirt Devil Products. This one is a loser though. The foot pedal release is on the wrong side for right handed vacuumers. It is heavy and difficult to push. You must tap out the filter OUTSIDE. This is a very cold job in the middle of winter in Minnesota. It tips over every time I try to use the attachments. The edger (I have white carpet and dust collects around the edge of hte room) does not work at all, so I still have to edge by hand. The upright 'catch' is now broken and the vacuum won't stay up at all. I hate this vacuum.

"NONE STAR!", These is the worse of the worse...! Dont buy it.... !
This vacuums weights a tons, also the extension cord doenst extend nothing and the flexibility is none. Thanks dirt evil i never will buy a a product from your brand.

A vacuum from the 30 years ago can be better than this..

!!!!!!

"Powerful but cumbersome", This vac really gets up the dirt, and I have a lot with 3 cats. On-board hose is large, high quality, easy to convert, never gets clogged. And the cord is quite long. I've had the vac for about 3 years, and it still works well.
However, those rear swivel casters take no time at all to get hair wound up around them so tight that the wheels won't turn. And you can't remove the little wheels to get the hair out, so my husband has to be inventive with a paperclip much too often.
I recently got impatient, didn't wait for hubby to fix the wheels, and pulled my back shoving that heavy vac around the living room.
Also, long hair gets wound up around the beater. And because the belt is "protected" by a plastic cover (which cannot be removed) it is very difficult to clean all the hair from the beater.
One more thing, the canister is easy to dump, but that filter in the middle is difficult to clean. You have to knock the dirt loose by tapping the filter against something, and then a cloud of dirt flies up into your face. You'll have to go outside to clean the filter.

"I hate it", This vaccum is awful. I hate the way it falls over when you are trying to use the attachments. I hate emptying the canister! The filter in the canister won't let go of the dust it gets caught in the grooves. I always have to empty it outside. I live in Pittsburgh I don't want to go outside in the winter to empty my vaccum canister. The hangers for the cord broke off and I have to duct tape the filter to the side. It just didn't last very long. I'm almost afraid to buy another bagless upright again because of how unhappy I am with this one.

"Pretty good, but...", I've had this vacuum for at least 5 years, and it's still working pretty well, if you can ignore the little squeaky noise that's developed in the last year (but you can only hear it when you turn off the power and the motor is winding down). It works really well, I find the canister very easy to empty, and it does filter well because I don't sneeze when I vacuum (being an indoor allergy sufferer, that's awesome!). I also like that there's two different ways to wind the cord - the traditional way, around two hooks, or there's a springy loop that you can loosely wind the cord up and close the loop around it - which makes taking the cord off the vacuum GREAT! However, I do have a couple gripes... first, the aforementioned springy loop juts out of the side of the vacuum a little farther than necessary; I've taken a couple dings out of my drywall with it. Second, it does clog up occasionally. My solution? Every few minutes or when I notice the sucking power diminishing, I pull out the hose and cover the opening with my hand. This causes whatever's stuck to ride into the canister, which works very well but I'd just prefer not to have to do that. Next, replacing the belt is messy and a big pain in the [behind]. You have to disassemble the whole bottom with a screwdriver to get to the belt. Lastly, the one brush attachment ALWAYS falls off the vacuum. Very annoying. Overall, yeah, I have a few complaints, but despite them I do like this vacuum. It works really well and being it's pretty inexpensive, is definitely worth the money I paid. For the past five years this vacuum has contended with college apartments, cats, dogs, and girls' long hair. And it still sucks!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"The worst vacuum we've had", This is the worst vacuum we have ever used. It is very heavy to push and tips easily when you are using the hose. The belts break easily (we replaced it three times in less than two months). It is also very loud. I would not recommend it to anyone, it was a waste of money.

"Not made well and too heavy. Picks up dirt and dust well.", The machine operates well. But I think it is poorly constructed and to heavy.

"I can't believe how good it works!", When I bought my dirt devil I had very low expectations of receiving a good product. I used it the first time and was totally amazed by the dirt it pulled out of my carpet.I have since stopped using my expensive vacume and just use my dirt devil. It still works just as good as the first time I used it, six months ago.I am now looking to buy two more, one for my upstairs and one for my mother-in -law. If it weren't such a good product I sure wouldn't be looking to buy more. I have owned every brand ever made, this is the best one so far.

"This is the worst vacuum we've ever had", we had this vacuum less than 1 year. The day I got it home the plastic thing that holdsthe cord broke off. I should have returned it. It cloggs almost daily. And it doesn't clean well. I will never buy a dirt devil again.

"This is the best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned!", I bought one of these for my home in Florida, and it just blew me away. I sold my Kirby the next day, that's how good it is.

I've come to Texas for part of the year, and now I'm buying one of these for my Texas house, too.

Absolutely wonderful!
