Others say...
"Great for late night feedings" Since our bedrooms are upstairs it is really convenient to have this product right in the same room. There's no need to go downstairs and leave the baby crying until you get her bottle ready. It takes some time using it to get used to the right temperature since the amount of water it states to use in order to heat up the bottle sometimes does not warm the bottle enough or sometimes heats it up too much. I don't go by the amount of water stated to use for each bottle size. Regardless of the size of the bottle or the amount of milk in it past 4 ozs, I fill the vial with water up to 9-10 and push the button. From time to time I take the bottle out and check the temp. Once it is the way I want it to be, I just take it out, shake it, and feed the baby, letting the rest of the water evaporate on its own. This way I know I will always have a warm bottle since once it is turned on and shuts off, you have to wait 10 minutes to warm it up again. Who has the time and patience with a crying baby to tend to? Overall, it is a great idea and has saved me many trips to the kitchen. "Great with practice" This is a great product. It takes a little practice to get the right amount of water. Disposables take much less b/c they tend to trap the steam, etc. I don't see how complaints about burning your hands could possibly be true. Sure it boils the water - it has to make steam! But why would you reach inside there? There is no reason I can think of why you'd ever need to do that. And with the first 2 children we used this on, I've never had a bottle even become remotely stuck, snug, you name it - not even close - so don't worry about it. I've used Avent 4oz and 9oz bottles as well as Playtex disposable bag bottles. It's not really a good use of money if you're just using formula - just make it with warm water. But if you're nursing your child and want dad to be able to help at night, this is a must have.... "If I knew then what I know now!" I bought this product for the arrival of my second child. I bottle fed my first child as well. This product is a timesaver/lifesaver! I only wish I had it 4 years ago with my first child. The key is to read the directions carefully before using this product. If you use more than the recommended measurement of water for the warmer you will scald the bottle and formula and it won't cool down easily either. As long as you read the instructions and follow them, this product is a wonder and joy to use. The cooler is especially nice because it cuts down on the nighttime feeding process, but you must take special care not to chill bottles longer than the recommended 8 hrs. You'll love the convenience and peace of mind! If I only knew then what I know now... :) "mixed review" I agree that the water holder is a bit tedious to fill and measure acurately. I always follow the measuring instructions, but sometimes the bottle is too cool or too hot, even though I have been practicing to get it right. I wish it were more accurate and for someone like me, who only has a 3 room apartment, the cooling feature is not that useful. "Dangerous product. Waste of money!!" I agree with all the other reviews saying the warmer with burn your hands and overheat the bottle. Especially when you only have a few oz in the bottle. The water in the warmer actually BOIL when it heats up and if the bottle got stuck in the handle, it means you have to use your bare hands to separate the boiled bottle and the boiled handle. You end up having a boiled hand as well. The worst part is it will burn your love one.... Not only that, the cooler does not close well so the content will not really be kept fresh even the ice-pack is frozen before placing into the cooler. We switched to AVENT warmer. A little more $$ but it is much better. I would NOT recommend this product.

What our customer's say! "Perfect", It's fast, it's efficient and economical. The cooler is the best feature. When you warm the bottles than if you can't feed at the time the cooler will keeep the bottles warm. So you save time and the time you saved can be use for doing things for you. That is a great factor I rate it above five stars. "Use this everyday", Seriously, this product is not bad. Read the directions and use some practice times before you set it up for night use. I use it everynight in my daughters upstairs bedroom. It saves running downstairs for a bottle or having her cry through the house as I take her downstairs. The lids on the water holders are snug as to hold the water in. As long as you get the bottle warming THEN pick up your baby then you're fine. The warmer will warm a bottle different each time depending on when you made it, i.e. has it been in the fridge for 1 hour or 6 hours? It will be colder the longer it has been in the fridge thus not warming the same as a bottle just made an hour ago. As I said, practice a bit to find what works and it's a good product to use. Also, do not heat bottles with the nipples etc. on, leave the bottle top open. And if you use the Dr. Browns the 80z DO fit in it you just can not have a cap on it in the cold area. I use this everyday and it works great for me. "Good after you get used to it", I really appreciate this warmer during the night when I don't want to get up to go to the fridge, possibly having to turn a light on, to get a bottle while the kid is screaming, then still have to warm it while the kid is still screaming. You do have to play around with the water amounts, but my child doesn't have to have it "just right," he only wants the coldness edge taken off. I've never had it warm a bottle too much, actually. I do find that it is somewhat inconsistent. Just make sure to check the temp before giving a bottle to the baby. "Love it -- but it takes a good "touch"", I received this as a gift from a coworker, and just wish I'd had it for my first baby! As previous reviewers have noted, the chart giving water measurements for warming bottles is wildly inaccurate -- but, without making a truly complicated grid taking into account whether the bottle is cold, cool, or luke-warm, and bottle shape and size, I'm not sure how they could do a better job with the instructions. Here's the low-down: it's as good a warmer as any I have tried, and the cooler makes it WONDERFUL for those of us living in two-story houses. I don't have to stumble down stairs in the dark as I did with my first child, which means it takes less time and I lose less sleep (new moms will appreciate this!). Here's what I've learned about warming wide-mouthed (Avent, Soothies, etc.) bottles of various sizes: - For wide-mouthed 6 oz. bottles coming straight from the fridge, double the water mark (for example, if you're warming 4 oz. of formula, fill the water to the 8 line). - For wide-mouthed 10 oz. bottles coming straight from the fridge, double the water plus two (for example, if you're warming 4 oz. of formula, fill the water to the 10 line). - For wide-mouthed bottles that are just cool (not cold), fill to the regular line plus one (for example, if you're warming 4 oz. of formula, fill the water to the 5 line). These rules consistently work for my husband and me, and we rarely end up with a too-cool or too-hot bottle. So, after a little testing and re-testing, we've ended up being really happy with this bottle warmer! "Great Concept, Not a Great product... ", I loved the concept, especially since our bedroom is upstairs. The thermos part works great for keeping bottles cold overnight, but the warming part is so inconsistent. I try to use the same amount of water each time. It really is hit or miss. Sometimes it is warm, but most of the time it is too cold. There has been a couple of times it is too hot. Very frustrating. I will be looking for another warmer. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Will return", We decided that we do not need this since a few seconds in the microwave will work during the day. At night, we just mix room temp. water with formula. "You're better off using a microwave to heat the bottles!", WHAT TO DO IF YOU JUST BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT: Go outside and bang your head as hard as you can against the side of your house---Maybe that will knock some sense into you after you've gone looney trying to use this piece of junk!!! As many reviewers have noted, it is extremely difficult to get this bottle warmer to work properly. First off, the little vials you use to measure the water into are poorly marked -- Why did they choose to use teeny-tiny WHITE lettering? STUPID! It is then very tricky to get the proper amount of water into the vials. In fact the difference between say, level 2 and level 3 is maybe two drops of water! Trying doing that out of a standard faucet. In fact we use a filtered water faucet (with a thin spout) and it is still hard to get write. But that's easy compared to figuring out the right water-in-the-vial to formula-in-the bottle ratio! We are currently using a 4oz Playtex bottle (with the disposable bags) and are contantly playing a guessing game as to the right amount of water to use. Level 3--- still to cold, but wait, last night that same amount of water practically scalded the formula! And just try to use a vented-type bottle...Forget it! How about an 8oz. bottle? NO WAY! Either way to cold or way to hot. And even though we use filtered water, this thing still need to be cleaned with vinegar (as recommended) evey week or so. However, the cleaning barely hepls and after less than 8 weeks of use we now use the microwave more and more. Why? Because we know that 4oz. of formula will always need 6-7 seconds in the microwave...Every time! "Nice for some but no longer necessary", This was nice to have when I was pumping. I'd wake up in the middle of the night and heat up my daughter's bottle. Now that I'm formula feeding, it's not necessary. "Looking for a better mouse trap...", I've heard some say this is the best warmer available. If so, parents are S.O.L. Heating is SO inconsistent. Same amount of water with the same amount of milk will produce a different temperature every single time. Sometimes way too cold and sometimes way too hot. When the heating indicator light turns off you must be right there to pull the bottle out or it will continue to significantly warm the bottle without any water medium. Be sure to loosen your bottles cap during heating and check to see that the travel disc is not in place. Otherwise, the bottles (esp. Brown's) will overflow. If that happens cleaning the inside of the warmer is a major hassle because the milk will have burned onto the heating plate. The carrier is too short for Mr. Brown 8oz. bottles or any other of similar height. The tubes provided to premeasure water are a joke. The caps are so hard to close and open you need two really strong hands and maybe multiple tools to shut or flip the tops open. Of course, you will likely be holding your crying and squirming baby in one arm while trying to do open the cap and not spill all the water. They tried to get fancy with the shape of the tubes and cap they forgot to make them easy to use.I just can't believe that someone can't design a better "mouse trap". To add insult to injury, the taps on the handle that are supposed to hold the top of the bottle storage compartment just broke off... (picture provided by Amazon is not the current model. refer to the pictures posted by other shoppers) "MUST HAVE!!!", This is one of my favorite products I have purchased as a new mommy. I love it. It warms the Avent bottles great. It took some trials to determine how much water to add but now I have it down great. You can over heat and then you will burn yourself if your not careful. It is not like the negative reviews if you pay attention and use the right amount of water. It DOES NOT warm the Playtex Ventair bottles. I guess because of the vent but I preferred the Avent bottles anyway. The cooler DOES keep bottles cold for up to 8 hours if you remember to freeze the freezer pack each day. We have a 2 story house and this helped us so much. I have the other First year single warmer also and it is in my kitchen and it is great as well. This is definitly worth the money! ![]() |
