"Not as thick as the original" This replacement carafe does the job fine, but I find myself replacing it way too often because of it's thinner glass so it chips much easier than the original. "replaced carafe instead of coffee maker" Bought this replacement carafe to replace a Braun 12-cup carafe that dripped every time we poured from it. This carafe is fine. Couldn't stand the idea of buying a brand new coffee maker just because the carafe dripped. "At least it's cheap . . ." The coffee maker is great - shame the glass carafe is so thin. We don't break many things in the kitchen, but we've gone through 4 or more of these replacements in the last several years. At least they're cheap - I just order 2 at a time . . . "Perfect replacement carafe" This is an exact replacement of the original carafe that came with the coffee maker. Now if only they still made the coffee maker... "the coffee is great again" what can you say about a new carafe? No cracks! So lets make some good coffee.

What our customer's say! "It works", Its the replacement carafe it's supposed to be. It's the same make/quality as the original...don't expect more and don't expect less. "Not as good as the original", We had the older Braun coffee maker and it rocked. The original carafe had a small lip at the top that caught any stray coffee grinds/sludge and prevented it from being poured in the cup. An ingenious and useful design detail. The new aerodynamic design may be pretty, but it's less functional and less durable. Plus the coffee machine itself, in my opinion, does not get hot enough, so the yield is poor. I switched to a Bodum french press and found I could use a 1/3 less coffee and still get a stronger cup. Braun products are not as good as they used to be. "Just as advertised", Sought a cheap Braun replacement carafe and the description on this item suggested that the box was not perfect, but the contents were in good condition. That turned out to be the case and it was shipped and arrived promptly. "IT'S A CARAFE, PEOPLE.", How do i review a CARAFE?? It shows up in the Amazon smiley box; I use it to make coffee. It doesn't fall apart immediately & it hasn't yet. I manage to avoid bashing it on the faucet. I guess it works! Quick, everyone run out & BUY ONE! NO, BUY TWO!!! "Coffee Carafe Replacement", The carafe was slightly redesigned from the original that was broken. The redesign made the water pouring easier as the spout is a bit wider. We are very happy with it and much cheaper than throwing out the coffe maker for a new one (which was the only option in the stores). 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Great Carafe for a Great Coffee Maker", We really enjoy our Braun coffee maker, and it has lasted for years. This version of the carafe pours better than the one that originally came with the coffee maker, but the glass is very thin, so it really needs to be handled with care. The carafe is dishwasher safe (even in the bottom rack) and we usually wash the detachable lid in the top rack, but it is probably safe in the bottom rack as well. This carafe pours nicely, without dripping, and it is easy to handle, but it would be nice if they could redesign it to be a little thicker, and/or of higher-quality glass. This is our second replacement carafe. We're not throwing this thing around mind you, but when I accidentally bumped it against something, it created a hairline fracture and slightly chipped the lip. All in all, as long as you're modestly careful, it should work nicely for you. "They finally got it right", My two previous replacement carafes from three years ago finally met their fate. The glass was paper thin, so I had to have spares. This latest replacement was a pleasant surprise. Yes, still made in Mexico, but the glass is much thicker. These will survive "normal" use and are as I would expect them to be. You won't be disappointed! Should this one die from carelessness, I might even feel comfortable not having spares on hand... "Ridiculously fragile", These things break so easily! I think I'm on my 3rd replacement carafe. I like the coffee maker itself, but at some point I'm going to have to replace it just to get one with a sturdier carafe. Braun's carafes are as delicate as eggshells. "Braun KFK12FL 12-cup carafe", An excellent product, delivered promptly. Everything went better than expected! "Better than my original pot", When I read the other reviews, I was a bit nervous about ordering this replacement pot, but I love my Flavor Select coffee maker and wanted to keep it after breaking the spout off my pot. Not sure what the other reviewers received, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the glass on this Braun pot is thicker and heavier than the orginal pot that came with my coffeemaker. I'm looking forward to lots more coffee from my coffeemaker!! |
