"Beware of this product"
We bought a Braun Multimix 880 to replace an old Sunbeam mixer that had soldiered on for about 30 years. Having used a Braun coffee grinder for about 25 years with no problems, we anticipated a good, reliable device. However, the thing was a piece of junk. It was underpowered, didn't mix batters particularly well and, after the second use, it broke completely. It will simply not even turn on. I made several attempts to get help replacing it and was sent to a service center 70 miles away; they told me it wasn't worth gettung the thing repaired. Trying to navigate the Braun/Procter and Gamble website to register my disatisfaction was an additional nightmare. The Braun Multimix 880 is not worth the money being charged. There must be better products out there than this.

"Mixer and more!!"
We bought as a GoldBox deal for $25 on May 1. The mixer function (higher speeds more splattering than lower speeds, not a big deal either way) is great, but the immersion blender is amazing. It reduces a banana to the texture of cake batter in one push through! Works great on making "smoothy style" drinks (melons, mangos, peaches, etc.) mix with ice and milk and instant snack for hungry kids after school!!

The chopper function took out almonds with ease. The anti-skid base converts to a handy cover as well.

Well worth $25, $50 is pushing it in my view, depends on how much you need these features.

"Poor craftsmanship"
Plastic pieces broke off into food I was preparing the first time I used. I expected a better quality for Braun products,Braun M880 Multimix 4-in-1 Hand Mixer

"Excellent "
I bought this hand mixer primarily because of the dough hooks. I tried the dough hooks and the bread dough turned out just fine without me messing my hands.
Plus Amazon had a great price and free shipping!

"I agree with others: Great while it lasts"
While it works, I love this mixer. Feels sturdy, balanced, and doesn't have the little exhaust grill that other handmixers have the collect goo. Except from bread dough, I barely use my stand mixer. The chopper is great for small jobs & salad dressings. The blender I use all the time to puree baby food or soup instead of waiting for it to cool, and getting my blender dirty.

But my SECOND multimix has just stopped working on the 2 low speeds. Each mixer lasted 3-4 years. I'm so disappointed that a Braun appliance has failed not once, but twice. And from the other reviews I've read, this is obviously a common problem that they should have fixed by now!!

What our customer's say!

"so far so good", We didn't want to buy different gadgets for every different thing we do in the kitchen and we trusted Braun's name. Thats why we bought this mixer and so far so good. Unlike most multifunctional gadgeds you can really use it for all functions (mixing, chopping, preparing dough...). I can not think of any negative points about this mixer. I am very satisfied with it and even I had considered spending more money for this kind of small kitchen gadged I still would have bought this item because of its compactness.

"Terrific", I haven't found a good use such small kneading hooks but all the other attachments have been fantastic. Especially given the price, this is my new favorite kitchen tool.

"not made for liquids", Overall good product. Although it's nice to have the high speeds, I miss the lower, more gentle, speeds of my 6 speed mixer. Also, I tried to make an iced coffee drink and tried to use the hand blender to cut up the ice, as I have done many times before with a similar device, but this mixer was two powerful for the job and sprayed the liquid all over the kitchen (at least a foot on each side). I tried slowing it down and using the cup that comes with it, but it still splashed over the edges. I would have liked to have a wider range of speeds to blend or mix with.

"Braun mxer", I have been using this mixer for ten years and love it. However, it only works on pulse and high speed and lucky me, Braun is still makig the same mixer. Couldn't bear to throw the old one out so I gave it to my daughter in case she ever wants to bake something.

"Had one overseas and had to get one when we moved back!", This is my most used little kitchen appliance. When we lived overseas I had one, and when we moved back to the states I HAD to find one. Couldnt find them locally, so ended up ordering one here. I have had it for 5 years and I still LOVE it! In fact, my grandfather, who has a garden and is constantly borrowing mine to chop up veggies asked me if I could find him one. So I am back online searching for the best deal on one. But this seriously is a great little machine and so versatile.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"AMAZED! ", I have enjoyed this mixer for well over ten years and it is still working as beautifully as the day my father gave it to me.

For most of those ten years, I mainly used the mixer function as I was not adventurous enough to explore the additional options (and I don't make bread). Fortunately, I eventually did try out the chopper feature. Better late than never! But what REALLY rocks is the mini blender / puree-ing attachment. I recently "discovered" just how amazing it is as my little cat has developed oral cancer and, because she has lost her tongue mobility, I must feed her an almost liquid diet daily by syringe. I ventured to try the blender/pureeing attachment to mix up tuna and boiled chicken (not together!) for her, and cannot rate it highly enough! In this case, it is literally a lifesaver. And it's so easy and quick which is great since sometimes these days, I puree food for her several times a day.

Plus: although I hate washing dishes, I find clean-up of this tool amazingly easy and fast... and never feels like a chore (unlike with my big old heavy blender)!

It also ocurred to me that the blender / puree attachment is a perfect tool for making baby food (my husband and I are expecting our first baby), and I so mentioned this to a friend who has two babies and who makes her own baby food. She was so interested and impressed by what I was telling her about this mixer, that I began to suspect it must really be something special as compared with other such products on the market. So I thought I'd check out the Amazon reviews, and sure enough you all confirmed my hunch, with more than a hundred people awarding it 5 stars... Wonderful! And I couldn't resist adding my own 2 cents worth here...

And I especially wanted to flag it for people preparing food for patients who cannot swallow well.

A few reviewers cautioned that Braun is no longer making this item. I really hope that is not the case, as mine is far from giving up the ghost, but when / if it eventually does, I want another one just like it!

"Hand Mixers", I read the reviews about the Braun M880 Multimix 4-in 1 Handmixer, and decided to try it over any other brand. I am very happy that I did. It is more than plenty powerful for any thing I put it through and is amazing to watch it do its thing. It is sturdy, good looking, easy to hold and handle and I am extremely proud of it and its manufacturer. Kudo's to Braun!

"handmixer", I love this product. It has a great chopper attachment and the dough hooks are awesome!

"Works great!", Makes short work of thick batters. This is the first mixer I've had with wire beaters and am very pleased.

"Excellent quality and value!", A+++ This is a terrific mixer combination!!! With a family of 10, we do A LOT of baking and cooking; homemade bread, lots of muffins, sweet breads, and DOZENS AND DOZENDS OF COOKIES!! When our previous mixer died, I spent a long time studying my options for replacement.

I didn't want anything made in China, so that cut my options considerably. I did want lots of power, but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for it. This mixer is made in Spain (says so right on the box) and is powerful as well as affordable.

For the money - it's a sturdy, strong, and very versatile combination. The hand blender attachment works wonderfully for smoothies, etc. and the mini food processor is a real gem. Chops up onions and peppers at the blink of an eye! What a time saver.

If you're in the market for a new electric hand mixer - this a definitely worth considering. It's a great bargain.
