"Great Buy!" These knives are an excellent value. I read several of the product reviews before I purchased these knives and found the reviews to be right on the mark. The company, J. A. Henckels, is well respected and the product lives up to their excellent reputation. "Not a fan of serrated knives" I've had this knife set for more than 2 years, and they've been pretty good. They aren't quite as sharp as they used to be, though you can still cut (by tearing), since they're serrated. I didn't realize these were serrated - I just saw that they were Henckels and on sale. Next time, read the description carefully. Most of the people who have used these knives haven't been really impressed with them. Unlike unserrated knives, these require a slight sawing motion to cut; it makes a mess of slicing tomatoes. It's very difficult to sharpen serrated knives, so you'll have to get it done by a professional. If I'd known that these were serrated, I wouldn't have bought them so I could save my money for a real Henckels set. Also, the additional cheese knife doesn't fit into the block, so some knife has to go in a drawer. "Wow!" These knives are ULTRA SHARP! I have to be really careful when washing these, and I've never had that problem with other knives. They are just great! "good quality and value" nice quality, good value. Good feel to the knives; balanced, comfortable to hold. Good deal. "Better than most" These knives are better than most but not the top of the line for Henckels. The stainless blade does not go through the whole handle but for the price, a good value.

What our customer's say! "Inexpensive Knives ", This is the third set of Henckels International Everedge knives I have purchased. They are used in a corporate work environment & for the price have served us well. They have retained their edge while being used for basic breakfast/lunch employee prep. "Decent Set", Not a high end quality knife set at all, and the knife block is not fitted to the knife set very well. On the other hand the set is sharp, and well rounded variety of knifes. "Amazon's description misstates the size; it's smaller", Amazon's product description states: Product Dimensions: 15.4 x 8.9 x 5.3 inches I was concerned that because of the stated height it wouldn't easily fit under the light above the kitchen counter. But I figured that for the price I'd take a chance and find someplace else to put it. However, the actual size is: 3.75" wide, 7.25" deep, and only 11" to the top of the top knife handle. It's on the counter under the cabinet under the light, and there's plenty of room to grab that large handle top knife! I've only had the set for three days, but so far although not impressive it seems to be quite sufficient for the purpose and good value for money. "junk", don't waste your time or money on this garbage. glad i only spent 10$ on mine, i only wasted 9.99$. the single taper on them drives to one side never letting you cut an even slice of anything. try to cross cut a pound of bacon and all you get is the teeth-like serrations all clogged up, making the knife as useful as a baseball bat. no knife stays sharp, simply get a nice sharpener and a good knife, or just go out to eat. "this knife set is great!", This knife set is great! It is a good deal for the money, and am very satisfied with it.

"Bought as gift", Bought this knife set as a gift. Good set for the money. NOt the best set on the market but for the price its a good value. "Excellent Knives", Received this item for Christmas present. At first I was concerned by the very light-weight handles, but after using the knives many times, I am convinced they are very good quality. They are very sharp and clean well in the dishwasher. I was so happy to throw out my old set and replace them with this one. This is my first Henckel set, and now I can't imagine owning anything else. "best knives I have ever purchased", These knives are very sharp and make cutting foods so easy. They are great! "Perfect Gift", I purchased this set for my 23 year old daughter who is just starting out on her own - she was thrilled and we used the knives over Christmas vacation. The quality is excellent and we couldn't be happier. What a great value! |
