"Chef's Choice 838 Waffle Cone Maker"
The Chef's Choice 838 Waffle Cone Maker is a good value. Its performance is as expected. The plates heat evenly and hold heat well. The accessory cone roller works well, too. If you are into the BEST home-made ice cream and waffle cones - I'd recommend this maker!

"compact and easy to use"
after dealing with an industrial sized waffle cone maker that takes up a fair amount of counter space, this is so compact and light weight. the instructions are very easy to follow. the clean-up is so simple too.

"Batter sticks "
I had trouble with the batter sticking to the baking plates. Had to add oil to the plates before each cone was made...which added extra fat. Other than that, the cones were absolutely delicious. I use mine to make "bowls" that I fill with non-fat yogurt and fresh fruit.

"Awesome!"
Easy to use!!! Everyone raved about the cones. They are light and airy. Better than any store bought they have ever had. Great flavor. A+++ from everyone who has had one.

"Tasty results & easy to use"
Couldn't be easier to use. Recipes included are delicious & double, triple, even quadruple with perfect results. (We make a lot of cones!) Wrapped up tightly the cones last for up to two weeks. Cones are just like the ones you get at ice cream shops.

What our customer's say!

"Highly recommended", Fun and easy to use. You will not buy ready made cones after using this cone maker.

"Love it!", I bought this first as a gift, tried the gift with my friend and had to buy one for myself! Easy to use, the recipe included is great, and is easy to clean up! I will never buy store bought cones again!

"delicious waffle cones!", I ordered this 2 summers ago & it works great! Everyone is impressed when I make my sugar cones! The plates need to be brushed with veg oil or they stick otherwise its a great product..

"Fun and Easy to Use", The Chef Choice Waffle Cone Maker is so easy to use from the very first cone. If you read the instructions, making the cones will be easy. The most difficult part is handling the waffle to form the cone when it is hot, but it only takes a few seconds and the slight discomfort is well worth it. We have taken the cones and ice cream to several picnics to share with others and everyone loves the waffle cones. We are having so much fun making cones and homemade ice cream to go in them! I would highly recommend this product if you are interested in making your own waffle cones!

"Waffle cones", This is a great machine. We love homemade waffle cones with homemade peach ice cream. If you are a made from scratch kind of person consider this product, you'll get lots of complements.

"A Great Addition My Kitchen Collection", I RC'd a gift certificate and was trying to decide what to use it for. I love my kitchen gadgets and so I of course looked into the kitchen items first. I came across this little machine and was interested, so I purchased it and used it that night. I was suprized at the ease of use and the great taste. Besides the cones I also like to cut them when hot and flat in to pie wedges and use them with chocolate fondue. Or just as an addition with ice cream in a bowl. A great addition to the extra small appliances in any kitchen.

"Yum Yum", I heard this was the best one to buy and it is. Great fun. Neat instruction book. Clear instructions. The recipe is spot on as well. One fault is that any run off of the mixture is able to spill onto and behind the colour control dial. Awkward to try to clean up. Makes great waffle cones though.

"Use the manufacturer's recipe", Elegant Wafer Cones
A bit lighter than our gourmet cones, this batter makes a delicate wafer cone. Cake flour ensures the best results. If you use all-purpose flour, you may need to add a small amount of additional oil to the recipe.
Yield: About 8 cones

2 whole eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp.vegetable oil
1 cup cake flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract

1. Preheat the WaffleCone Express(tm). Start with Color Control setting of 2 1/2 to 3, but change as necessary for best results.
2. Beat the eggs and salt in a small bowl with a fork until well blended. Beat in the sugar and beat until sugar is incorporated and the eggs have lightened in color slightly, about 1 minute. Stir in the oil. Add the cake flour and stir slowly until all flour is moistened. Beat another 15 seconds to incorporate the flour and remove all lumps. Stir in the vanilla extract.
3. Spoon 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) of batter in the center of the iron. Bake for 1 minute then check for proper color. Cook and additional 5 to 10 seconds if necessary.
4. Quickly remove the waffle from the WaffleCone Express(tm) onto a clean cloth towel. If the waffle is too hot to handle with your bare hands, use the cloth to help lift and roll the waffle around the cone form. Hold the cone a few seconds to set its shape then place on a wire rack to cool.

"Easy to use", Its easy to use, the recipi included is all to you need to make the cones, perfect and fast

"Great appliance, fun for kids and adults", This appliance does a great job once you get the heat setting and timing "calibrated" for the type waffle cone you like best. It heats quickly, takes less than two minutes per cone to bake and shape and is very easy to clean. It stores upright to save cabinet space as well. Having a rack to allow the cones to maintain their shape while they cool is helpful, but not totally necessary. The recipes make excellent-tasting cones. I don't use it really often, but I am well-pleased with the purchase.
