Others say...
"Nice iron" Nice iron, very efficient, it worked properly. My only concern is that it is a bit huge for my personal standards; i don't comprehend inches very well since i'm used to centimeters. "Rowenta travel iron" I am a quilter and I use a small iron when sewing quilt seams, ironing pieces of fabric, quilt classes, etc. The iron is awkward to hold compared to my old one. I find it doesn't get hot enough like my old iron. I'm not as happy with it as I thought I would be. "Great little thing" I have this iron and a mini iron board in my bedroom and it is great when I have to iron one or two garments in the morning before work. I will only pull out my big and heavy iron and board when doing mass-ironing - which means hardly ever. The quality is good, it irons well, and it is small enough for travels. "Great Travel Iron!!!" I originally borrowed this iron from a friend. The iron worked so well, I bought one for myself. The iron is very compact, heats up quickly and has multiple settings. This was a great buy! "Good travel iron, not so much for regular use" We bought this almost six months ago and found it to be a nice compact and light travel iron that could be easily used with just a electrical plug adapter while in Europe. We were in Europe for an extended stay and had to use it regularly. There was occasional leakage problems, but that was probably due to the fact that my wife used distilled water exclusively, as the owner's manual directed one to use regular tap water. The main problem is the electrical cord. When packed into it's carrying case, it is a bit too tight and thus damaged the cord near to where it connects to the iron. The protecting "collar" on the cord wasn't long enough to protect it. If we knew this beforehand, we would've been more careful and could've fashioned a "collar" of our own. Now it is not heating up. I'm trying to replace the cord myself, but it doesn't look like it will be possible to put it back together so that it can function well. It is a shame as it was functioning rather well.

What our customer's say! "Rowenta iron", Needed to return because cruise line would not permit use on board ship. Return process was excellent and as advertised. "Hot and compact", I love this little iron especially for quilting. Its compact so it doesn't get in the way. I do a lot of applique and its perfect for ironing the small pieces to freezer paper. It also gets hot enough to fuse adhesives. The handle folds out of the way and the whole thing fits in a bag to carry to classes. I bought it to replace my Clover Craft iron which never got hot enough. I'm glad I did. "Rowenta DA-35 Latitude 35 Compact Iron ", This Iron is perfect for what I wanted it for. I needed a small steam iron. It has a folding handle and makes lots of steam. I highley recommend you buy this iron if you want a small and light steam iron. And the price is great. Buy it. "Surprisingly effective with Rowenta Quality!", I bought this travel iron for a recent trip where I knew I'd need to press some clothes for appropriate business attire, but didn't have any assurance that where I'd be staying would have an iron to use. The price was reasonable and the size is completely appropriate for travel. I've owned Rowenta irons before and they tend to be good work horses, but prior to using this little iron I wasn't sure what to expect. To my surprise, it worked fantastic. The handle folds in for easy transport and both it and the included filling cup fit nicely in the black travel bag. Filling the iron is easy and it stands well as it heats up. I was surprised at how fast it heated up and how well it maintained the heat. Pressing my clothes was easy and done in a flash. I have not yet used it on completely synthetic fabrics, but it made fast work on my cotton and cotton/poly blends. In fact, I'd even go as far to say that it out performed the conventional standard iron I have at home! For such a little iron, it has a good solid feel to it without adding too much to your luggage weight. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone considering a travel iron. Good luck! "Fabulous for Sewing and Crafting!!!", This little iron is a powerful tool for those who sew or use fabric in crafting. It is small enough to maneuver and the temperatures are accurate so that you don't damage your fabrics. There is no leakage, if you don't overfill the reservoir and follow the instructions to use tap water. It would be nice to see a teflon coated soleplate, but that isn't a deal breaker. I definitely think this is worth purchasing and would gladly recommend it to anyone. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Good iron--Not good for upright steaming", I purchased this travel iron to take on my daughter's wedding cruise last week. The main reason I ordered it was because it had good reviews for the upright steaming feature. However, I have never been able to get it to steam while in the upright position. I have followed the directions and even called customer service. They advised that sometimes the iron gets air bubbles in it and you have to push the steam button about 50 to 60 times to work them out. I tried this procedure on several occasions--to no avail. Consequently, it didn't help me much when I needed to steam my wrinkled garments while on our cruise. I would not recommend this as a steamer, but it does work well as a travel iron. "Flat Out Good", For a small iron, I am very pleased with this iron. It is best for small jobs, but will also do iron-on patches and glue strips. "good for travel", this one does what it is supposed to do. its features: Burst of Steam, Vertical Steam, Constant Steam (Steam can only be produced when the thermostat is in the colored cotton/linen zone.) Full Range Thermostat, Folding Handle, Transparent Water Tank: holds 2.05 oz., makes filling at the tap easy Travel Pouch, dual voltage, (you need to use a coin to change it. don't forget it when you travel abroad!) weight: 1 lbs. 12 oz. I saw cheaper ones in a local store. but I'm not sure about the quality of that one. "Great Travel Iron!", This is a great travel iron. I bought it for a recent cruise/tour of Europe, and was very happy I had it. The cruiseline provided one iron per deck in the public laundry room -- not good when it's time to get ready for a dinner in required formal attire that was in a suitcase for a flight all the way across the Atlantic Ocean! The steam function works very well, but I am confused by the instructions for using it as a vertical steamer. I never have been able to get that part working properly without water leaking. But as a steam iron, it is superb -- it performs equal to my full sized home Rowenta. Before going on my trip, I used this iron a couple of times for my regular ironing (to get used to it), and I could see how this iron would work as an only iron for someone who doesn't iron that often, is a college student, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this iron for the constant business traveler, as it really does do a great job. "Rowenta Compact Iron", This small iron does a realy good job. It took out all the wrinkles in my kitchen curtains. Very happy I purchased this item. ![]() |
