"great item for the kitchen" I bought this food chopper after getting tired of doing everything by hand. I love it. It does a good job on chopping everything from onions and garlic to cilantro, basil, ginger, and making spice pastes for Indian food. I would recommend it as a useful item for any kitchen. Definitely saves time and makes making things that require a lot of chopping less hassle. Easy to clean too! "A MUST have!" I'm glad I read the reviews for this food chopper because they were a huge influence on whether or not I made the purchase. I can tell you that I've gone through many choppers and this one is by far the best and easiest to use. You can't go wrong if you get this chopper. "Love it" No complaints whatsoever. Perfect size for me, so easy to use and to clean. Love the cover on the bottom, and another thing I appreciate is the lowness of the bottom blade...nothing too much can slide underneath it and not get chopped. Chops from coarse to fine to puree depending on what you want. Great price for a handy little item. "3 cup sizing is a little misleading." I think if you are planning to make one meal of baby food at a time, this may suffice, but if you plan on making larger amounts and freezing ....look for something bigger. The problem for us is that it can only chop/blend about one cup at a time. You can only fill it to the line (which you can just see on the right hand side in the picture) or just above the top blade, so if you want to make a batch for freezing you will need to do a minumum of 2 batches just to fill one ice cube tray. We also found that even though we never filled beyond the recommended line, foods still splash up all over the top which was very difficult to clean without getting wet. "don't do it..." there's nothing "wrong" with this product, but i'll tell ya...it's small, too small for most uses. and it's not really any more convenient or easier to clean than a full-sized food processor.

What our customer's say! "works B-E-A-utifully!!", It's easy to clean, very quiet, very handy and works wonderfully well. I'd strongly recommended this to those who need to prepare a relatively small size of meal in a quick time. "ease of operation", I find it very easy to use and the self storage feature is very handy. "best kitchen appliance I own", I bought this little blender after using my mother-in-law's, I was immediately jealous and had to buy one. I threw in a head of roasted garlic, salt, pepper, a bag of dried porccini mushrooms and olive oil and it created a delicious puree that i used in some onion soup--yum! i'm finding tons of uses for it--salsa, tapenade, pesto, etc. so handy! I've been keeping it pretty busy ever since it came in the mail (about 3 weeks), and it is reliable, easy to clean, and it even made perfect margaritas (single servings!) in a pinch when my regular blender died on me (perfectly crushed ice, my friends). If i got rid of all my other kitchen gadgets except this one and my rice cooker I could still be perfectly happy:) "Great chopper", I bought this one because it had great ratings on consumer reports website and I needed it for chopping/grinding food for my baby. It does very well job on chopping, however, some foods cannot be mashed to desired pureeed consistency. Whould definitely recommend this one!! "Great Food Chopper", This is a very handy chopper. Read this reviews before You buy... "Black and Decker good product", This works great for any quick chops and also for morning smoothies... you have to kind of hold the top of the cutting mechanism when pouring so it doesn't slide out, other than that i use it every day, sometimes twice a day. Great for chopping stuff quickly into small pieces or pureeing for someone who needs soft food. "GREAT CHOPPER", This little rascal is the handiest tool in the kitchen. I have another food processor that takes too much time to find, assemble, use and clean. This little chopper sits on my kitchen counter and is ready for action and very easy to clean. Highly recommended!! "fast, efficient food chopper", Black and Decker procucts have unsurpassed longevity and mechanical integrity. I have owned many Black and Decker products over the years and have grown to look at them as staple items. Today, I own a toaster and a rechargeable can opener both made by Black and Decker. The former is over ten years old and has worked beautifully since the day I bought it. The toaster, though relatively new, functions perfectly and is as reliable and efficient as the can opener. I expected no less from the Black and Decker chopper and I was not let down. It is compact and cuts cooking preparation time in half. The buttons that control the pulsations are located on top. When holding it, your thumbs are in easy reach of the controls. For anyone with wrist difficulties, for example due to carpal tunnel syndrome or arthritis, it can be grasped comfortably and the buttons can be depressed with little effort. "I LOVE this little machine!", I am so glad I bought this chopper! It's the perfect size for just sitting on my counter for convenience. I've mainly used it to pulverize graham crackers for crusts. That only takes a few seconds and they're finely chopped. It's very easy to clean up and seems to have a powerful motor. I don't think I'll use my larger food processor again! "Food Pulverizor", I was really hoping for a product that would dice my food as well as mince it. Even though there are two settings for processing, both reduce whatever food I add to a liquid consistency. Not really what I expected. So I am still dicing my vegetables. I pull this out when I want to make a fresh salsa or guacamole. |
