"nice and simple", It does what you need it to do, it goes in the dishwasher, and it's pretty. The handle doesn't get terribly hot, and you can hang it up by the loop at the end of the handle. I was surprised by how big it is.

We got a deep-fat fryer for Christmas and this is fun to use with it. We make perfect tortilla shells by dropping them in the fryer basket and pushing down on them with this doodad. Works great.
