"making cleaning easy", I learned yes. ago of a simple way to maske the inaside of any carfe easy to clean- take a couple od tps heaping of bk. soda in followed by boiling water or reallt hot water seal, let set ovetnite or several hrs rinse well! You'll be surprised at wht comes out at 1st,

"Excellent Value.", This is one of the few products I have ever bought that exceeded my expectations in quality and function. It is well constructed with a metal center, heavy plastic end caps and handle, and a glass lined interior. I have not had any leaks, as some other reviewers have had, though I have noticed that some people are trying to use it as a thermos rather than a carafe. I come home from work at 5:30pm and the coffee that I put in it at 6am is still hot enough to drink without having to microwave it. What more can you ask from a carafe at any price?

"Terrific heat retention!", This is a great vacuum flask for the price. It keeps beverages warm for ages. I can go out to run errands for a couple of hours, come back and enjoy a steaming mug of coffee. I've had it a few months and nothing on it has broken -- it's robust.

The only minor downside is that, yes, it does leak a little out of the base somehow. This doesn't seem to affect the heat retention, but it leaves little coffee drips on the counter. That doesn't bother me as I have to wipe the counter down after grinding beans and plunging the coffee anyway. You get what you pay for and this does a perfectly adequate job for the price. I'm happy!

"Instant (real) cofffee (Part II)", This is a real winner together with the coffee cone. Keeps the coffee hot all morning!

"Great Therma Carafe", I like this thermal Carafe. Keeps coffee warm for several hours and was a good deal. I have found that cleaning can be greatly simplified if you use a brush. I used one with about a one inch diameter from a Camelback cleaning kit I had and the carafe was as good as new.

"Be nice to your coffee. It works so hard for you.", Love it. Love it! I knew reheating my coffee was just this side of ridiculous, but I had no idea how much I was abusing my morning companion just by leaving it on my coffee maker's hot plate. No more scorched taste a la Starbucks! =P And this carafe keeps liquids hot for hours. I've poured out remaining coffee the next morning (no kidding) to find it still lukewarm. Plus, look at that attractive stainless steel -- I don't even mind leaving it out on my countertop. But note that its capacity is roughly shy of 8 cups.

"keeps the coffee hot for a long time", I would say the coffee has stayed hot for at least 6 hours (maybe longer)
This is a very nice looking carafe as well. I like to transfer my coffee after it is done brewing so it is not "cooking" on the coffeemaker burner. Nice job Zojirushi-

"Don't buy this leaky carafe!", All I have to say is these carafes leak like crazy. Go ahead and splurge for an all stainless steel one. You really do get what you pay for in this instance.

"Nice and serviceable ", We like these carafes, and they are a good price. All arrived in good condition.

"Keep content warm, but leaky", I bought this carafe so that I can use it all day to keep water hot for making my tea. It does a very good job to keep water warm all day. But water can get in between the outer shell and liner easily and very often. Every time I pour water, it will leak through the seam under the spout. If I tilt it backward, it will leak through the seam under the handle. Sometimes, it will just leak because too much water go in between the outer shell and liner. I had to put paper tower underneath so my desk won't get wet.

It is functionally good, but leaking water is definitly a problem.
