"An Expert says It's great"
I searched long and hard for the coffee cup with the longest heat retention. My father, who is obsessed with his Eddie Bauer mug from the early 90's has given this mug a Double Thumbs Up. It keeps his coffee warm almost as long. It's usually still drinkable warm after 8 hours.

"Amazing heat retention...a little spilly"
This is the best for keeping the heat in your drink (highly recommend letting HOT water pre-heat it for a few minutes before adding your coffee, tea, etc). The only problem I have is if your hands are full & you tip it to the side even a bit, it will spill. The OXO one does not...that is the next one I'll try. This one fits in your hand & cupholders nice & does a great job with heat, but does leave a little drop on your nose too unless you are careful.

"Good insulation, impossible to clean."
It's well constructed, and it has excellent insulation... But that's where the good part ends.

If you're unfortunate enough to forget to clean the mug for a day or two (I know, my fault) it's absolutely impossible to get rid of any associated smell. The top inside of the mug has a gasket that seals the seam between the plastic screw-top adapter and the stainless inside, and moisture seems to be able to work it's way through that. Once it's through the gasket, the cup will stink forever. I've tried soaking it in just about everything imaginable, and the smell won't go away.

I have a MiGo stainless mug that's a single piece of metal, and it cleans up immediately with no issues.

Very disappointing, as I had high expectations from Nissan.

Why would I, when I have this wonderful product? There isn't much I can say that hasn't been said yet, but this tumbler keeps coffee warm for quite a while - a problem I always had with "normal" coffee mugs. Yes, it will leak if you tip it over. This is not meant to be a thermos. It is meant to keep your coffee warm as you drink it right away. And it fulfills that requirement perfectly. :-) I love it so much I am buying a second one - one to keep at home, one for my car/school. Yay!

"Good office coffee mug"
I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It keeps my drinks hot or cold for hours. I'm done drinking my coffee well before it even gets warm. In fact, that took a little getting used to. I kept expecting my freshly-pored-from-the-pot hot coffee to cool down a bit after I pored it, but it doesn't for a while. I had to start adding a little cold water if I wanted to drink (not sip) my coffee without getting my tongue a little burnt, and that's without pre-heating the mug prior to poring it in.

It's splash & almost spill proof too, & it's still easy to drink / operate with one hand. It's not leak proof, but it's not advertised as being leak proof either. It's good for the office or car, but it's definitely not something you can throw in a backpack or brief case.
