"Stopped working within a month"
I read all the reviews (including the ones that said it stopped working), but it still decided to go for this. Was tempted given that I needed it to grind spices, and there were some good reviews.

Was a bad mistake - it stopped working within a month like the reviews mention. Called up customer support - can ship it back, and mail a return payment so that they can give us a new one. However, that would apparently cost about $18 for the shipping back and forth making it totally worthless.

I'm not going near this brand again across the board - there's plenty of other competitors to choose from.

"Grind Away - Nice Spice Grinder"
I bought the unit to grind dried chili pods (chipotle, etc.)and I must say the unit works very well for this application. It would be nice if the unit deposited the final product into an enclosed container instead of having to empty the product from the top of the unit - but it cleans up easily and so far works great!

"WOW!! DONT OVER ANALYZE!!!!!!"
It's amazing how reviews can affect people. I shopped forever! Read reviews, researched grinders, and contemplated over so many because of the reviews. All of these so called "COFFEE CONNISUERS" gave ratings that were sub-par and recommended grinders over $100!!!! Well, I LOVE MY COFFEE. But I had to draw the line on price. $50 max! I can say that all of the bad reviews for this product (UNLESS DEFECTIVE) are totally false. If the item has a bad review....that person has a bad neck! (because their nose is so far in the air!) All I'm trying to say is for all of you regular non-connisuers, IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY SPENT! Buy w/ out hesitation and enjoy.
THANK YOU!!!

"DeLongi DCG39 Electric Coffee Grinder"
The DeLongi DCG39 Electric Coffee Grinder performs well enough, but I can't get a uniform grind every time. I was used to a burr grinder, which gives more control over the coarseness or fineness of the grind. My previous burr grinders also ground more coffee at one time. The capacity of the DeLongi DCG39 is quite small compared to other burr grinders I have had. However, the product itself is quite good, given its size and style. I'm satisfied with it.

"Great, except for the lid/switch..."
I received this as a gift from a coffee aficionado (I'm NOT). I don't use it very often, but after about 6 uses it's become a little tempermental. If the lid is on ALL THE WAY, it won't grind. Seems to be a problem with the lid/switch connection -- if I turn the lid back just a little bit, it powers up. Pain in the ***, but gets the job done. Hopefully they'll fix this glitch on future models...

What our customer's say!

"Nice spice grinder", Works well, turns dried products to powder and can grind hard spices as well. Only negative is that the Cup/container doesn't remove to be cleaned, but it's quite easy to clean with a paper towel.

"It never worked and I had destroyed the box to return it", It never work big paper weight I destroyed the box so I couldn't return it. I will never by a grinder again off the internet. They are not reliable you need a face and a place to return them. I have learned my lesson. I was a big internet purchaser this grinder and a the WORKS GT have taught me a lesson.

"Good while it lasts..........", Purchased May 2007 - Dead July 2008.....while it worked it did a good job.
But in the middle of a grind it went belly up......only the green lights
flash on occasion.....cant recommend this grinder at all

"It was good while it lasted", It was great for 30 days. On the 31st day the motor got hot and it just died!

"DeLonghi Coffee Mill Disappointing", We are sold on freshly ground coffee so we have a coffee grinder wherever we make coffee. We've had a Braun for years (it still works great after over 20 years but is in a different house) and recently broke a Proctor Silex mill (used for 5 years) and decided to try a new brand. I researched various brands on Amazon to try to find one with which people were pleased. The DeLonghi looked like a favorite but our experience has been disappointing. It has indicator lights which promise to alert you when the coffee has been ground to a specific consistency. However, it grinds inconsistently when ground "coarse" and becomes too fine (like powder for espresso) when the indicator designates "medium". The top is difficult to get in the right position (which is required before it will grind). Additionally, the top is difficult to pour grinds from without making a mess and losing some of the coffee. It's still working but we're looking for a replacement.

"Best small grinder ", To grind my spices fresh, I have gone through many coffee grinders and was never satisfied with any until I discovered DeLonghi coffee grinder. The blades are so low, close to the base that no spice, even as tiny as a cardamom, escapes. The spices are ground very fine or coarse if you wish. I highly recommend this grinder for spices. I have not used it for coffee beans.

"BAD BAD BAD ", DeLonghi is not what it used to be. I owned this product for a month before it stopped working. The grind selector never worked from day one. I loved DeLonghi products but recently one of their toaster ovens stopped working after only six months (did I mention I'm a maintenance freak). Sorry DeLonghi time to move on.

"Great Grinder", This grinder was recommended for grinding spices by one of the many cooking periodicals my wife reads. She cooks lots of Indian, Thai and Middle Eastern food which rely heavily on the use of many spices, therefore we now own this grinder. Her food is delicious anyway, so I would only assume that the addition of freshly ground spices produced by the use of this device will only add to the enjoyment of my wife's food.

So far, she has prepared a few dishes with freshly ground Indian spice mixes using this grinder, and I'd have to say the food is certainly wonderful, so I give the grinder (and my wife's food) 5 stars.

Thanks,
Tom

"Delonghi Coffee Grinder", Love the design of the product--fits easily on my kitchen counter. Good grinder, but it takes some finesse to grind beans to perfection. I either end up with chunks of unground bean or beans ground to a very fine (espresso) grind. Hopefully, after the learning curve, I'll be fine!

"YUMMY JAVA, THANKS TO THIS MACHINE!", THANKS FOR THE GREAT COFFEE MAKER. IT'S FAB!
