"Vornado Filterw" The product is the same. The best thing about getting these is getting them on-line. It's easier,much cheaper, and they're sent to your door. Couldn't be better "Well, you have to buy these if you have a Vornado" But I have nothing at all against Vornado humidifiers, it would be better if I could buy them locally and avoid the shipping charge. I can buy Holmes and others locally, why not these. Anyway, they fit just perfect in the Vornado humidifiers but they don't last more than 6 to 8 weeks if you have water that has a lot of lime in it. "easy but expensive" The wicks sold in original vornado packaging seem to perform more consistently than those packaged generically. They last longer. I have had 'generic' wicks that started to smell after a week of use. "Excellent humidifier" I have two of these humidifiers. Easy to fill with two tanks, relatively quiet operation. I always buy new wicks every fall as they seem to get dusty and concentrate salt from my water softener. That's all the humidifiers ever need. The design seems to keep the water basin clean. "Doesn't last very long." I suppose it's doing its job, but this replacement wick lasted only a few weeks before getting moldy. I don't know if it has to do with the water or the fact that I have 2 cats, but it seems a little ridiculous to have to replenish the wicks every few weeks. Wish I had known that before purchasing the humidifier.

What our customer's say! "Good wicks", We live in the Northeast where it gets quite dry in the winter due to heating - it makes sleeping far more comfortable. We are big fans of the Vornado humidifiers - we have one in each bedroom. Depending on your water quality, these wicks will need to be changed anywhere between every 2-4 months. If not, the humidifier is far less efficient and will not properly humidify the rooms. "Currently the best option available", I bought my Vornado 4x4 humidifier 6 years ago. After moving to a home with a humidifier on the furnace, I gave it to my mom who has radiators, and she incidentally has dry, brittle skin as well. The humidifier itself is fantastic and puts a lot of real, breathable moisture into the air without dousing everything in dampness. The wicks do the job, unfortunately, they have to be thrown out if they ever dry out (so keep the humidifier full!) and they will also collect a lot of dirt, leading to bacteria. That said, Amazon's price and delivery are by far the best deal you will find. I find that 2 sets of wicks handles my mom's apartment for the long winter, and she keeps the unit in her bedroom which is at the back of a 1100 sq foot apartment. She has good air flow through the apartment and that one unit improves the entire apartment. It is important to keep wicks moist and clean, and then you are golden! "Good product at right price", I need to change wicks every month because the water in my area is hard. These wicks fit most Vornado Humidifiers. They work perfect. I have nothing to complain. "These are not Vornado brand wicks", These are not Vornado filters. These are filters that fit Vornado humidifiers. They seem to work fine, but the information presented seems deceptive. "Great deal on these wicks", Vornado MD1-0002 Humidifier Wicks These are a great deal when they were 9.99 a pair- better than the mfg website, where you have to get on auto reorder for this price. Better deal than eBay at the time I purchased them. Clear your Voronado gently with CLR and change these wicks twice or more a season to prevent clogging and bacteria growth; you'll have a comfortable space. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "humidifier filter....", it works...i mean what can you tell about humidifier filter? it works fine... " Good wick unless you're bad", This wick is right on, as wicks go, UNLESS you do what I've done - leave the Vornado on, just chugging away when the unit is empty. After awhile no humidity can escape the dried out wick and it takes 3 or 4 days to empty the unit when one day is the norm! So, bottom line-good wick and treat it well! "excellent product and service", These wicks are excellent - original product, not a knock off. Great value, quick delivery. "Highly recommended", great product at a great value...shipped in 2 days, super fast via ground! "Vornado Filters", Great performance and quick delivery. Sometimes can't be found in stores, this solves my shopping delema. |
