"FOUR pans and FOUR lids !"
The price for this item is for a SET OF FOUR pans and FOUR lids. Check the acehardwareoutlet site, and you will see what I mean. I plan to keep two and incorporate two into holiday gifts. Arrived well packaged and in a timely manner.

Shipping was cheaper through Amazon. But the price of the item has increased from $27.99 to $34.99 in less than a week.

"Medium Weight - Lids do not survive shipping well"
Someone complained about the pans being very thin (I remember that T-Fal had thin frying & sauce pans when they debuted and may still). I guess that is the kind of cake pans I have had for 30 years and NEVER HAD A PROBLEM (cakes, brownies, etc.). Anyway, since I did buy a very thick set from Nordic Ware recently, Nordic Ware 3-Piece Baker's Quarter Sheet and Cake Pan Combo Pack with Lid now I know what the reviewer was referring to. I had only had thick cookie sheets and really thick bun pans before but not 9" X 13" cake pans.

The only problem I see is that shipping with the lids on the pans instead of being placed under them, mine got scraped and dented by each other. I had two shipped in the same box by the Amazon Marketplace seller. Better packing would solve that (and I did get a discount for the damage to my lids).

"Aluminum cake pans"
Item is very nice, but packing was not good. One of the pans got dented during shipping.

"Mother's Day gift"
My mom, my daughter-in-law and I all have one of these pans. My mother's pan wore out so she needed a new one. We're all happy with the purchase. The shipping charges were outrageous, IMHO.

"What A Great Cake Pan"
We have used this pan for so many things, from cakes to casseroles. We have used it so much over the years I think we have worn holes in it! We love using the lid as a cookie sheet. Great for those personal frozen pizzas, fish sticks, or a half batch of cookies; anything that might be too small for a big ole' regular sized cookie sheet. Though it does not need it, we line it with foil before we cook and there is no clean up afterwards.

I love that after our family has a casserole for dinner, I can put the leftovers in the fridge and stack stuff on top of it. This also is great for taking places as your food does not get squashed.

We did not feel it was cheap quality. Our food cooked evenly and we have never noticed any funny taste from the aluminum seeping in to our food. In fact I am going to order 2 more. Our favorite food to cook in this is Pumpkin Pie Cake. Yum! Cheers!

What our customer's say!

"Cake pan with aluminum lid", My cake pans are terrific!!! I ordered 5 and I will be fixing fudge in them for the holidays and giving the pan/fudge as gifts. People LOVE the aluminum lid cake pan because the lids do not crack like the plasic lids and stuff can be stacked on them to make items easier to carry like to dinners etc. They arrived quickly and in good condition. Thank you!!!

"Aluminum Cake Pan", I love these cake pans. I have one & my lady boss wanted one so I got her one for her birthday. She just loves it. She had one before but when they lost there house to fire she lost her pan. You won't be sorry in getting one of these. I use it for more than just cake. I just love these pans. I will not use anything else but these. I am thinking about getting me another one.

"t-fal", This pan is awsome. I have 3 pans with those plastic lids that have the little clip on the side. None are there. Every time a pan goes out the lids come back looking like they spent the weekend with Katrina. This one doesn't have plastic. A very good metal lid. Been loaned out with cake in it. The pan and lid came back working like new. A very good product.

"label impossible to remove", The label covers most of top. I soaked in boiling water to no avail. Tried all my methods of soaking off labels. Ater soaking in boiling
water it is stil attached. I am very unhappy. Would not reccomend at
all.

"Cheap", Good price for four pans, but cheaply made. Thin aluminum, rolled edges are not fully rolled and have sharp edges which will cut fingers, if not careful. Returning the ones I ordered. Ace Hardware also has a restocking charge for returns. Overall, pass on this one and spend the money on quality pans.

"aluminum covered cake pan", I have an aluminum covered cake pan already that works very well for me so I wanted another one. Well i was very disappointed with the quality of the material used in this pan. The aluminum was very thin. I returned them. I was afraid that it would effect the cheese cake I make in them.

"Very versatile", I learned of this pan from my Grandmother. We use it in the oven in place of anything that you would normally cover with aluminum foil. Just use the lid instead! It is called a "cake" pan but can actually be used for so much more! Last night I used it to make lasagna, which turned out great. The metal lid has two other benefits: 1) it can be used alone as a cookie sheet and 2) when you carry food or store it in the refrigerator, you don't have to worry about the lid getting smashed like the rubber ones that are on glass dishes. It is very lightweight. I am not sure how it will hold up over several years but for the price, you should get your money out of it.
