"black cutting board"
This is beautiful...I love it!!! Good size and does not show stains from food ..

"so so -"
the board looks like I wanted it to - but does show cut marks and doesn't sit flat on the counter -

"Cutting Board Phew!!!"
We bought a Cutting Board - Midnight Granite (14 x 17") from Target and after a few cuts it has deep cut marks and is a waste of money! The name makes one feel it should be of granite but alas it's only a form of black paper and a covered board of some sort. Waste of money!

"NICE PRODUCT"
This is a nice product. It gets the job done. I have to disagree with the one reviewer. The description plainly states that the board is made of polyethylene. The midnight granite signifies the color.
For $9.99, 14x17 is a great price.

"Why are people so stupid"
It's a wonderful cutting board (also available at the store) I'm a bartender and chef and can honestly say this is something I've found very useful. Any good chef knows you need two cutting boards one wood and one of a polyethylene or resistant plastic. This one really lives up to the description and works well for mulitple tasks. The $9.99 price tag isn't bad at all for the cutting size and it hides the knife marks very well. That, and it just looks great in the kitchen. I use boards like this in my restaurant all the time and wouldn't go without them. Don't listen to the idiot who thought he could buy a 14 X 17 solid granite cutting board for ten bucks, not that a rock cutting board is worth anything as it would ruin your knives. FYI to the moron - "Protect your countertops from scratches with these lightweight, tough, polyethylene cutting boards." Yah, nothing at all... dimwit.

What our customer's say!

"Fine for now", This cutting board seemed to be fine until my husband pointed out that the plastic was so rough on the surface that food stuck to it when you wiped it off. It washes better under the fawcett. I like the size. We had a large marble cutting stone previously that broke after 20 years, so it may be that we just need to get used to the rough plastic. Like other people have said it does show the cut groves from use. I will use it for a while but it won't last 20 years like the last cutting board. It was priced at about what it is worth....lol

"Okay but not fabulous", Lightweight, looks nice out in the kitchen. I like it okay, but am not dazzled.

"Best mouse pad I've ever owned", I'm a software engineer by trade, and I play a lot of PC games (mostly first-person shooters), so I spend a lot of time pushing my computer's mouse around. I've spent (literally) hundreds of dollars trying to find the best/smoothest/lowest friction mouse pad available (some gaming mouse pads can cost $40-$50). I spotted this "cutting board" at Target while shopping and thought it might make a decent hard mouse pad (at a fraction of the price). I was right... the friction (using either Logitech MX Revolution or Razer Copperhead mouse) is as low as any mouse pad I've ever used, and the tracking is excellent (using the "Midnight Granite" color cutting board). This thing is HUGE for a mouse pad, which is good because it gives me extra movement (handy when sniping in TF2). The large size is also nice because if necessary it could easily be cut with a power or hand saw to whatever size/shape you need. If you like a smaller mouse pad, there's a smaller (and less expensive) version of this cutting board available. I've been using this for a couple weeks now, and there is absolutely no sign of wear on it. If it does ever get worn down (which I doubt it will), I'll just flip it over and use the other side (which has the same textured surface). The surface is textured just like some of the high-priced hard plastic gaming pads. As a bonus, the speckled black granite finish looks good, too!

"Hard to find black stuff", Works awesome and resists marks. Hard to find black kitchen stuff. Liked it a lot.

"Pretty nice", I'm pretty pleased with this cutting board so far. It does show cut marks, as other reviews point out, but (at least with me), they're really only visible when the cutting board isn't clean. After I wipe it down with a sponge, it looks great again.

"Cutting Board", I love it and it performs as advertised.

"Great as a cake board", This board works perfectly for my intended use. I'm always looking for attractive and simple ways to present fun novelty cakes. A cake can be decorated directly on this board, since it has no rims to interfere, and cakes cut on it beautifully. The speckled black is an interesting background for many themes.

"Very pleased", I'm very pleased with this cutting board - it is functional and washes well. I leave it sitting on my counter at all times because it's also attractive. The 'Granite' used in the product description is simply referring to the color and look of the board, not the material it's made from. It clearly states in the description that it's constructed of plastic material. A great board for a great price!

"Nice board", This cutting board is very nice. It is sturdy and light-weight. No, the cutting board is not granite, but it DOES say in the description that it is a polyethylene board. Perhaps people should pay more attention to things that they read.

"Cutting Board - Midnight Granite (14 x 17")", This is not made of GRANITE!!!! There is nothing in the description (except the weight, stupid me) that indicates it is a POLYMER cutting board.
