Others say...

"Per company, not supposed to be your main vaccuum"
Vaccuum runs for only 20 minutes maximum. Have no rugs, only tile. Called Eureka and the customer rep. said it was never intended to be a main vaccuum, that lightweight in the ads mean not a heavy duty vac - and that I can get a spare battery for $47.00. Told her I had paid that for the vac on Amazon.com - she said it was unfortunate that it doesn't say so in their ads.

"I love this little vacuum! (Bought two)"
Bought this for my elderly mother so she wouldn't lug her heavier vacuum up and down stairs. Her home was for sale and it was so easy to whip this out every morning to keep the carpets dust free. I was especially pleased with the way it picked up white "bits" and threads from red carpet and dark blue carpet; it was also very easy to use on the carpeted stairs. She found she could vacuum both stories and the stairway on one charge - was easy for her to remove the battery and recharge it in readiness for the next use. Couldn't talk her out of it once she moved to a one-floor home so I bought another for myself!!

"Great Vac -- battery is junk."
I am quite unhappy with this product.

I bought a "The Boss" vacuum (Model 570) from you a little over a year ago. I have been delighted with its performance. I use it once a month or so and always plug it back into the charger when finished. The battery has been recharged no more than two dozen times (maybe only a dozen). I leave it on the charger as your instructions direct. There has been absolutely no abuse of the product.

The battery is now kaput. I went to order a new one and found the replacement cost to be more than 75% ($36.59, incl. s&h) of the original cost of the entire machine. This is crazy. No such product should be marketed for which this could be considered an acceptable life cycle.

I will be getting another such machine, but not one from Eureka. I hope to find one with acceptable cleaning characteristics, but with superior battery performance. As an old established vacuum manufacturer, Eureka should be ashamed of this record.
We live is a disposable society, but its absurd to toss a perfectly workable machine for a reason like this.

"*LOVE* this vacuum for light duty all over......"
I brought this vacuum just after Christmas 2003 to primarily vacuum my kitchen floor and the cat litter around the litter box, I ended up useing it at least 3-4 times a week to vacuum ALL of my carpets and hard floors as it is great for a light but good vacuuming all over. The battery is a bit short lifed as far as the charge goes, I would have to make the vacuum a quick one before it ran out, but the overnight charge (or less actually) made it possible to catch anything I missed the next morning, without lugging my big corded vacuum out. Great for when visitors pop in to make the house look respectible again! :O)
This vacuum being light weight, cordless and bagless is truly a *STAR*, I love it and would buy another in a heartbeat if this one died as not only is the price very reasonable but the vacuum is worth every cent for what it does!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

"Best thing since sliced bread"
Being somewhat disabled, this lightweight, no cord to trip over, super powerful vacumn is the best machine I ever purchased. I can vacumn my whole house with one charge. Cat hair, litter, NO PROBLEM. My $300.00 cordless can't kept up with this one.

Love it so much...will buy several more for holiday gifts this year!

What our customer's say!

"Eureka 570B Cordless Boss Upright Vacuum", Good product, and does a good job of sweeping for a battery powered vacuum. Had to order a new battery after about 1.5 years of use, the replacement battery was about $42.

"DISPOSABLE VACUUM", The vacuum is a little cumbersome for something small. It does vacuum fairly well, but as stated not meant for a main vac. I purchased one for a summer home and used it very little. A maximum of half a dozen times. Battery did not last. Cost more for a battery and the vacuum. Might as well dispose of it when battery dead than just buy a new battery!

"Is it wrong to be in love with my vacuum cleaner?", Let me start by saying i hate to clean - i pay someone to come to my home and do it for me, that is how much i can not stand cleaning! However, since we puchased our home, which has Pergo flooring and slate and travertine marble throughout the entire house, and NO carpeting, i had a need for a good vacuum cleaner- i researched, and got this one - i LOVE it- it is light, it is powerful, it is easy to empty the canister and it works perfectly. i actually ENJOY vacuuming with this tool. I have a cat and a puppy and they both shed, and this gets all of the hair - i had a golden retriever and it picked up all of his hair, and now we have a yellow lab, and his hair is also not a problem. This is simply the best thing ever GET IT!

"The Cat's Meow!", I have never loved a house cleaning item of any kind but I can't say that any longer. This little unit has become my new best friend!

We live in the country and between my husband and our border collie I don't know who tracks in more... it's a close tie. I was sweeping the floor daily with a broom but I wasn't keeping up until now.

This is the "greatest" little vacuum. I love that it doesn't have a cord and it's so fast and easy to use. I wouldn't recommend it for the main vacuum of the house but for quick pick up's and for hard floors you can't beat it.

I have to work a little to get all the dog hair out of the filter when I empty it but I haven't had a vacuum yet that I didn't have to work on removing the hair in some way.

If something happened to this one would I buy another ... most definetly. It is worth every cent that I paid for it.

"I love this thing, I have now bought 3 of them.", I love this little vacuum. When I bought it due to a sale, I thought it would be a neat item for my Mom and grandmother but hated to buy them one until I knew it was a good thing. Well it is a great thing, and availability can be an issue at times. If you are planning on more than one and they are available now, buy it now.

It is simple to assemble. Snap on the handle and slip in the battery plug it in and voila you are in business. That is after you charge it a day or so.

The cup to empty it clicks off easily and pouring out the dirt and cleaning off the filter simple as can be. The filter cannot be installed backwards, but you should pay attention how to reinsert it, so you don't have to fiddle with it. If you have used other bagless vacuums this can be chore on some.

This little machine will have sufficient enough charge to do 3-4 rooms for a quick pass. Amazing how well it does.

Due to its flexibility due to no cord you will grab it more often and your house will be cleaner for it. Also on stairs it is wonderful. The hand slides in with the push of a button and is very light to use.

The only improvement would be if it had a hose attachment. That would come in handy.

Does it do as good a big vacuum No, but a lot better than you would think.

Only one warning, if you vacumm a lot of dog hair, there is a possibility it will jam in the back where the vacuum bends. There is a little door here to open and unjam. Works great, once you know it is there.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Perfect for pet owners with hardwood floors!", This vacumm works incredibly well for people with hardwoods. I have a dog and two cats and use it virtually every day. It lasts about 15-20 minutes per charge, enough for most people. I've had it for about six months and the battery still holds a charge like new. It is average on carpet, but excels on linoleum and other non-carpeted surfaces. It is lightweight, and to empty it just take the container in front off - 20 secs or less and you're back in business. There is a small area on the bottom that can get plugged with animal hair, so be diligent about keeping it clear of obstructions. Overall, best vacuum for the money I've ever had.

"FANTASTIC MACHINE: The Best Since The Cordless Drill", I bought this so my wife, the original German cleaning freak would not be dragging the big cord machine all over the place constantly. The intent here was to augment as a sweeper to pick up dead flies and loose dirt.
Surprisingly this thing actually will do the whole 1400sq' house on one charge. Bear in mind that the house isn't funky with piles of dirt but it will easily do the complete daily or routine pick up. She absolutely fell in love with the thing and it's all she has used since getting it a few weeks ago It seems to do a credible job even on medium shag. Many have complained about pet hair clogging the beater bar. We have 4 cats (2 Longhair) and it doesn't seem a problem. I have seen long human hair getting wrapped around and stuck but its not serious. Just slash it across the bar with a sharp razor knife and it peels right off. At any rate my wife rates this as one of the best things she has ever purchased! This has got to be as handy as the cordless drill!!! My only serious advice goes out to anyone who is not familiar with Nicad Battery powered devices : READ THE DIRECTIONS. As with any battery device if you drain it and let it sit like that or don't use it for long periods it won't hold up at all. Follow the directions; LEAVE IT PLUGGED IN WHEN NOT IN USE AND USE IT FAIRLY OFTEN.

"The best vacuum ", I bought this vacuum a month ago and love it. I am in a wheelchair and was constantly getting tangled up in cords with my old vacuum (that weighed at least twice as much). I have 3 cats and one dog so I am constantly finding pet hair on the floor along with pieces of cardboard from my cats scratching mats. This vacuum is great. Lightweight, great suction and easy to manuever. Definitely 5 stars in my book!

"Bad brush system", The brush system just isn't long enough to really pick up what it should. When I saw the unit I thought it would do a great job but it doesn't. I was extremely disappointed in the performance. Its all looks and truly little action. I could never recommend this item.

"almost one star", I bought this vacuum based on the reviews and I'm very disappointed. I just received it yesterday and I already know it wasn't worth my time or money. The battery takes like 16 hours to charge but it won't last close to 16 hours. Any human hair gets wrapped around the belt and any rug debris got clogged immediately. Stop looking at these reviews now and search for a vacuum that's worth your investment. I didn't rate it one star because it's so light weight I am considering giving it to a child to play with since that's all it is is a toy.
