"Best toaster oven.."
Bought this on the gold box special for $109. Had been watching it for sometime. Got it out of the box yesterday. Very well made. Easy to use controls. Bakes at same temperature setting as big oven. Baked bread and got a nice crunchy crust. Very pleased with it.

"Great Functions, Doesn't Clean Easily"
This unit was a gift to us as a wedding present over 5 years ago. We were immediately impressed by the even heating, precision levels of toasting/baking/broiling, and it's complete replacement of the oven for smaller foods. Some frozen food labels specify that a real oven must be used instead of a toaster oven. While I have found this to be true with most toaster ovens, this one bakes just as well, if not better, than our full-sized electric oven. There's really only been 2 downsides to this oven:

1 - The oven has, over time, lost its "potency" for toasting. While I used to toast a piece of bread at darkness level 3, I find that nowadays, I need it to toast at level 5 to get the same level of toasting. Not a big deal; it just take a bit longer to get my toast

2 - Cleaning is a bear. While there is a dishwasher safe removable tray on the bottom of the oven, to catch all of those crumbs, the glass door on the unit cannot be removed for cleaning. Crumbs get stuck in the crevasse along the base of the door, and the glass itself has brown residue that would be much easier to remove if I could soak the door.

Having said that, I would (and probably will) choose this oven all over again.

"Love it!"
So far I have convection baked a turkey breast and toasted pre-baked croissants and a sourdough round loaf - all to perfection! Worth the extra $$.

"So easy to use, great results!"
I love this toaster. I got it about 6 months ago, and it looks brand new because it's so easy to clean. The buttons can wipe down, the glass is easily accessible on both sides, and since I put a toaster oven liner in the bottom as soon as I bought it (HIGHLY recommended!), it's really easy to keep it looking like new. My only negative is that you can't turn off the timer and keep the oven going unless you just wait for it to stop beeping (i.e. pressing "stop" turns off the timer AND the oven). But everything else is great!!!

"Great Toaster Oven"
I have owned many toaster ovens over the years and I like this one the best. The convection part is fantastic for heating up leftover pizza or anything else for that matter. I would have given it 5 stars but toasting is not totally even all the time. The bottom of the toast does not get as dark as the top (I personally don't really care about this but some of you may) and sometimes I have to put it through the toast cycle for more than the alloted 4 min to get the bread to my liking.
Other than that this is a perfect little appliance.

What our customer's say!

"Good solution", Because I have a teensy kitchen and no actual oven, this is a perfect solution. Because it is efficient and works beautifully would be a good addition to a larger kitchen. Just what I wanted and I'm not disappointed!

"Glad I finally sprang for it", My old Black and Decker died a few years ago and I foolishly tried living with a regular toaster. When I realized I rarely even make toast, I shopped all over and decided to try a convection oven to use instead of the old unevenly-heated electric oven in my apartment. I'm cooking for one, though I often make casseroles and whatnot to freeze so I don't have to cook meals every day. I tried a T-Fal from an electronics store and fortunately they took it back after I found it didn't do anything particularly well. I then bought this at a discount from a big box retailer.

I was hesitant to buy something with all electronic switches. My eyesight is poor and I worried that I would have trouble reading the buttons. As it turns out it's pretty intuitive and user-friendly. Every once in a while I forget to press "start" after setting everything, but it's no different than setting the temperature dial on the oven and forgetting to actually turn the thing on.

It toasts evenly, if a little slowly; I'm now addicted to health-food-store pop-tarts. The baking is great; I've made small cakes, biscuits, scones, and casseroles using the convection feature. A 4 1/2 pound chicken came out juicy and crispy. Pizza comes out wonderfully. I plan on making yeasted sweet cakes for the holidays, and expect that they'll be better than they were in my oven last year. Spatters that usually spread throughout a large oven get concentrated in the small one, but it's therefore faster to clean up. I haven't figured out how to make the broiling function work well, but I think that's just laziness on my part, and broiling is the only thing my regular oven does well, but once I figure out how it works in the convection oven I'll OK.

I like that it beeps a few times to tell you when it's reached the desired temperature; it does it again if you open the oven long enough to lower the temperature significantly. The timer is easy to set, and when done will keep beeping until you press the timer button again when you check your food. The beep is very loud, which is great because I can hear it over the TV or radio even when I'm in the other end of the apartment.

I'm not sure how much less heat this oven gives off when compared with the big oven. Because I have it on a lower shelf of the baker's rack I use for it, it's quite hot in the summer to cook and use the counter at the same time. Someday I'll install a shelf on the wall for it so I can see inside and not get baked along with the food.

All in all, it's a great buy, and I expect that it will last a long time and give great service.

"Best Baked Potatoes", I have only had the oven for a few days, but english muffins and toast come out perfectly toasted. I made baked russet potatoes using the convection method. I rubbed them with canola oil and cooked them at 400' for 45 minutes. They were the best I have ever had! Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. I can't wait to try more things.

"Great Toaster Oven", After several attempts at buying run-of-the-mill toaster ovens made by Black & Decker, DeLonghi and others, we thought there was no hope of finding a quality toaster oven. After reading the reviews here and elsewhere and checking out Consumer Reports we "gambled" on buying the TOB-175BC. To our surprise, it not only is very well built with solid framework and door, but also has a substantial broiling pan assembly. It makes toast to near perfection and gets to temperature quickly. The controls are intuitive enough that my 8 year has no problem operating it. On the other hand, its numerous features, including convection, may be overkill, but do not detract from the simplicity of design and operation. A great buy.

"Great toaster oven!", Cuisinart TOB-175BC Convection Toaster Oven/Broiler, Brushed Chrome

This oven is used most every day, and has proved to be a solid performer. As time passed, I have used pretty much all of the functions of the oven, and learned to customize settings. I have not had a single problem with the oven since the day it arrived.

"Beware: Cuisinart Customer Service is HORRIBLE", Beware. Just hope it never breaks down. When I had a problem with another Cuisinart product, all I could ever reach at the customer "service" department were order takers for new gizmos for the food processors. Whenever I tried to voice my complaint, they hung up on me, presumably so they could take more orders.

And I tried every number I could find in my product manuals, on the Web site, etc. I could never get through, or they hung up on me the moment they realized I wasn't ordering something.

And by the way, "Cuisinart" ceased to exist many years ago. It's now owned by Conair, the maker of crappy hair dryers.

"Great Toaster Oven", This toaster oven is one of the greatest purchases I've ever made! It works just as advertised and is saving us a great deal of money in baking foods for which I used to use our gas oven. It preheats very quickly and bakes to perfection. It toasts breads quite well and is also good at broiling. I would recommend it to anyone.

"Works great, Good value ", Has easy to use controls, presets etc. Works great.

The only cons I find are:
a) Food particles can fall on the lower heating rods - maybe that's not good in the long run. I worry if you get some cheese or something drip on it, that might ruin the heating rod. I wish it was covered and protected better.
b) The power cord is extremely short - make sure you have electrical outlet close to where you plan to put this thing.

"A reliable appliance", I'm very satisfied with this toaster oven. It is a quality I would expect from Cuisinart. It toasts well and the oven is large enough for my easy week night meals for two. I returned the Black and Decker after being brand loyal for the last 15 years as it did not toast well and the oven temperature was unreliable.

"Great toaster oven!", We love this toaster oven and use it every day. It bakes perfectly and toasts very well. It heats up quickly to the designated temperature and is easy to use. Saves us using propane oven (in RV) and saves on electricity. It definitely met our needs!
