"Worked great while it lasted" This garlic press worked great for about 3 months--it easily crushed garlic pushing out everything leaving the peels. However, after 3 months one of the rivots holding the hinge broke with no way to fix. At that point the press became useless. I would buy it again in a heartbeat if I knew it wouldn't break again. "IF you can own the BEST .......OWN IT!" Feels great in the hand. Easy to Clean and can go into the dishwasher. QUALITY is what YOU GET! "Good but not perfect" Very good product and well built, you can feel it as with all rosle tools. Very easy to clean and looks good too. However my only gripe is that sometimes the sides flex out when I use it and it doesn't stay closed. It's an easy fix (picnh the sides back together a little). Like I said when "I" use it. When my daughter used it to crush 40-50 bulbs for xmas it was fine. I'm a little stronger than her :) and think I just might have a tendancy to squeeze a little do hard. Other than than that very good item. "Last garlic press you'll ever own!" I've had this for a few years now, and it's one of my favorite kitchen tools. It does the job, gets all the juice out of the garlic, and is a snap to clean! It's also very sturdy.....the last garlic press you'll ever have to buy. I bought one for my parents and they love it too. I highly recommend it. "I cannot believe this is such trash" While i do own several rosle pieces in my kitchen, this is not constructed like anything else that i own. on the first piece of garlic that i tried to press, the unit simply was destroyed. the spot-weld at the fulcrum snapped off, causing everything to misalign and bend beyond repair. if you order this, good luck, as this is a manufacturing problem from the factory and is probably going to happen to you as well.

What our customer's say! "High Quality Garlic Press", I thought this garlic press was a little over priced when I got it, but I had a gift certificate so I decided to go ahead and splurge. After 4 months, I am very glad I got it and I think it's well worth the price. It's very sturdy and the weight of the handles helps make it easier to press the garlic. The fact that the part with the little holes swings out so you can get to every corner to clean it is really nice too. It even goes fine in the dishwasher. "Nothing to get lost", And it works very nicely. (mind you I don't think it's all that easy to clean) "Broke within 2 months!", This product is BEAUTIFUL and well-designed. Unfortunately, the cool tension feature that keeps the handles closed broke within 3 uses. Then, less than 2 months later, the whole thing just snapped and bent into a completely unusable shape while routinely pressing garlic! I'm so so disappointed!! I have contacted Amazon customer support and will see how they respond to this issue. I read p curran's review before I purchased but thought that he/she was in the minority and just been sent a lemon. Apparently, they make plenty of lemons to go around! I hope your experience is better but be prepared for disappointment and frustration. "World's Greatest Garlic Masher", I had some really bad luck with garlic mashers in the past. The common flaw would be that they were either difficult to clean or eventually the handles would break. The Rosle garlic masher has to be the best one that I have ever used or seen. First off this thing is solid and will not have any problems mashing garlic. It's also sturdy and is definitely high quality. The best part about it is the cleaning. It's difficult to describe but the screen that mashes the garlic splits apart and allows direct access to remove garlic pulp. It makes cleaning easy and quick. This caused me to throw away all of my cheap kitchen utensils and switch over to Rosle on almost everything. "Great ! No need to peel!", Easy to clean, no need to peel and giant cloves fit! Had it for years ,still looks new.. We love it! 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Rosle - not always "Made in Germany"", I don't actually own the Rosle garlic press so I cannot comment directly on it. I do own a few other Rosle products and have found them to work well. However, my comment is to counter something in Fred Brack's official Amazon review as I believe he is misleading customers. Not all Rosle products are "Made in Germany." Many are "Made in China" and it's difficult to tell from the labels Rosle attaches to its products. Williams Sonoma, for example, adds "Made in China" onto its price sticker, probably to spare customers from finding out later and being incensed. Rosle's Chinese products may be as good as Rosle's German products. I don't know. But, personally, I think there's more to it. If I'm going to pay Rosle's prices, I want a quality product made in a country with decent labor laws and pollution controls. That's not China. Before you pay German prices, check if the Rosle product you're ordering is really made there. "Is it possible to love a garlic press?", This is a fantastic gadget. Does a great job and is incredibly easy to clean. No need to peel the garlic clove, just put in inside and press, out comes perfectly pressed garlic, wipe it off into your recipe with a spatula or knife, and then simply open up the press and the waste falls off. Super easy and efficient. And, a very nice looking gadget too. "Good Quality", I am very happy with this garlic press -- when you press garlic, it releases the oils, so I am tasting much more flavor than my previous method of chopping garlic. I am tired of buying substandard kitchen gadgets that don't work and decided I will only purchase top of the line products from now on -- as a ONE time purchase, as I expect it to last! This garlic press is one of those top of the line purchases and worth it. Naturally, you have to clean out the remaining garlic -- and I read complaints on that -- but DUH -- it's not magic....that is the case with all garlic presses. The most important thing is that it presses the garlic out. "Great Garlic Press", This garlic press is so easy to use and clean. I love it! It is worth the price. "Now this is a garlic press!", I've had other garlic presses in my cooking career and usually they ended up getting tossed......not this one. Simply stated "it works". Add the beautiful design and wonderful quality and you've got one great tool. I love this product so much that I am now collecting other Rosle tools. |
