"Works great and it's fun too!"
All this needs is a spedometer so you can see how fast you can spin it. It's amazing how much water you can get off of the vegies you put in there. This is much better than spinners with a cord or hand crank because you can let it free spin to get even more water off without the extra effort. I can't believe I went so long without one.

"Works great. Use it every time I make a salad."
With the salad spinner, I find making salads are easier and faster. I usually like to start making a salad several hours in advance, so that I can make sure the leaves are completely dry.

I don't like wet leaves in my salad. The dressings does not sitck as well to the leaves and I have to use more dressing to a get a good flavor. While this doens't make them totally dry, it is the best solution thus far for me.

Now I don't have to dry each leaf individually or wait several hours while the leaves drain and chill.

"Softworks Salad Spinner"
I love it. I got tired of wasting paper towels while drying my lettuce and salad mix. This is just what i needed. Thank you!

"Best salad spinner I've used."
First of all, this thing looks and feels nice -- durable and clean. It also works fine for washing lettuce. It's also a great salad dryer -- no cranking, just pump the black handle and it spins really fast. My favorite part, however, is that you can store lettuce in it and the leaves stay crisp and fresh! I've never been able to keep lettuce for this long before -- I like red leaf lettuce, which is particularly prone to bruising and going bad, but it stays good for over a week in this salad spinner.

I have one caveat: it's a large container, so you'll need a lot of space in the fridge. Also, if you try to pack too much lettuce into it, it will bruise and trap moisture, and therefore not work as well. But all in all it's my new favorite kitchen toy.

"Works great"
This is the best salad spinner I have had. It hold a lot and really spins it dry. Highly recomend it.

What our customer's say!

"Works well for price", The salad spinner is pretty decent. It has a locking mechanism that keeps the push lever down for storage (as you see in the Amazon picture), a removable inner basket that you can use as a colander to rinse first and a bowl that catches the water. The bowl can also be rinsed out and used to serve the salad in. Easy to wash, I just pop it in the dishwasher on the top and it's turned out fine. It also has a brake to stop the spinning when necessary. Overall a pretty good spinner. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 is that it seems a littly bit flimsy and is slightly bulky.

"SoftWorks Salad Spinner - Nice Product", The SoftWorks Salad Spinner is a nice product that works as advertised. The size is large enough to wash a full chopped head of romaine lettuce. The product seems identical to me to the OXO salad spinner I have seen in stores with a solid white top, and they may in fact be the same product. The Oxo Good Grips Salad Spinner appears to be the same as well, except for product pictures showing a clear top.

I have used this product for more than a year and I'm very happy with it.

The large button in the center is spring loaded and when you press it, will rise. After putting your salad into the strainer basket inside, close the top and depress the large button. The basket will spin and the water will come out of the salad into the clear bowl. Use the small button on the side to slow down the spinning basket before opening. It's that simple.

I find that rinsing my salad and greens several times between spinnings seems to get them the cleanest. It's always best to rinse and spin as close to serving time as possible so that your salad stays nice and crisp.

I can't help but feel that the price is rather high for such a product, but this was one of the more affordable alternatives I found. So until a less expensive alternative emerges, this looks like one of the better alternatives.

Avoid the temptation to use the clear bowl as a salad serving bowl. The insides seem to scratch rather easily and may be harder to clean when scratched.

Enjoy.

"Makes short work of drying produce", I was torn between the SoftWorks and the Zyliss, but picked this one because I was afraid of possible problems with the pull string on the Zyliss. This spinner is very simple to use -- you just pop up the black "pumper" and push it down several times, then use the little "brake" button to slow it down quickly. My salad greens get dried off very well. (By the way, I read that to get that last bit of water, you can throw a paper towel in the spinner with your greens to absorb any excess, which is a great tip.)

"Works well and doubles as a serving bowl", I recently purchased this salad spinner, have used it a few times and am very happy with it. It's easy to use, interior spinning unit doubles as a colander and exterior bowl is elegant enough to serve your salad in. Have washed it on the top rack of my dish washer with no problems. Would purchase it again.

"Lettuce all buy it!", I've been shopping for a quality salad spinner for some time. I found this one to be the best. The price was great too.

"Really nice", This works great, and keeps the lettuce really crisp for a long time. The only down is it is really large to put in the refrigerator (10" across, and 6" tall), but the size is a must for a head of lettuce.

"great for salads and washing fruits/veggies", This Oxo/Softworks salad spinner has been very handy for rinsing salad mixes as well as other fruits and veggies (grapes, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, frozen veggies, etc). I love that you can lock the spinner handle down so that it fits into the fridge more easily.

"Great Salad Spinner", It is well made and very large to handle all your greens. Storage takes up some space, but it is well made and a necessary addition.

"Simple and Functional", This is a great kitchen tool. It makes cleaning lettuce, spinach, etc. very easy. I have had a spinner for several years and bought one for my mom. She enjoys it also.

"Lettuce alone!", This is a great unit for washing salad. If you don't like soppy wet leaves resisting the coating of dressing, then you can wave your washed lettuce in a French collapsing basket dramatically on your deck (habit of a very nice friend of mine from France) or you can use this salad spinner.

This spinner is attractive, the knob is easy to manipulate and the bowl works as storage. It is a lot better than others I've used and really essential to our salad-o-mania at home. Dinner is frequently grilled something or tuna-from-the-can and salad, so we put this through its paces. I recommend it to anyone who likes romaine lettuce or Boston lettuce, or red-leaf. These need washing like mad, and the spinner dries them afterwards easily. Great item, and pretty as well.
