"Love this fan!!!"
Holmes HAWF2043 Twin Window Fan - This is our 3rd Holmes twin window fan (the 1st we left in California). 'Tis the time of year to open up the house for ventilation and having a fan in each bedroom helps a LOT. Depending on which way the wind is blowing we can either exhaust the fan or pull air in from outside. Makes a HUGE difference!

"Great fan, thermostat really works"
I ordered two of these and they work very well. They fit in the window perfectly, and the cord is long enough to reach the outlet. You don't have to turn the fan off to go from blowing in to blowing out, which is a plus.
The thermostat is a mixed blessing. It actually works, which means that while you are trying to sleep, you can hear the fan cycling. So instead of a constant hum, it's up and down and fast and slow. I recommend using the thermostat when the noise doesn't matter, but just leaving it ON when you're trying to sleep.

"Good product but not value-for-money!"
A good overall product - it's got a quiet operation - but i paid 45 bucks for this and I doubt if it's good value-for-money. I know similar products that sell for much less. Also, because it doesn't have a remote control for the price!

"great sapce saver"
take up NO space at all in a small room. and is an effective way to regulate temp. removes quickly and easily.

"Good medium-duty fan"
Easy to set up and easy to adjust. Won't cool off a whole single-story house (as I'd somehow hoped) but will cool off 1-2 adjacent rooms. I use it in the evenings once the outside air is cooler than the inside air. It works best if you put it in one window, with the window closed to the top, then open another window on the other side of the room. Then set it to exhaust to expel the hot inside air, and you'll feel the cooler air coming in through the open window. The room will be a few degrees cooler within 10 min. Not bad, especially for the low price.

What our customer's say!

"Best Choice", I bought this window fan from Walmart and I love it. I live in a one bedroom apartment and my bedroom would not cool off. I placed the fan in my window (only took less then 5 mins)and let it run on exhaust for 2 hours while I watched TV and ate dinner. When I went to bed two hours later I switched it to intake mode. It is hot in Sacramento, CA during the day but cools off at night. I was able to use the fan to pull the cool air in and it worked great. It is easy to work and very quite...I would recommed this product to anyone that has a had time getting hot or cold air moving.

"Very little air flow", I'm returning this fan ASAP! It creates very little air flow/breeze & it isn't powerful at all. You'd be better off with a $10 box fan. I would NOT recommend this fan.

"Quiet and Efficent", I have Central Air in my house that is not "zoned" and even the best systems are not energy efficient to run regularly. I only turn it on during the hottest days. So, I bought this fan to use in my bedroom at night. I am one of those folks who is always HOT. I was very surprised at how well this little unit cooled my room. It works especially well if you have two or more windows in the room you use it in. Setting both blades to "exhaust" while the other window is open causes all the cool night air to be sucked right in.. It also works well with one blade set to "intake" and the other to "exhaust." Lastly, as a smoker I can say that it removes most of the smoke and stale odors in the room when used regularly. This unit is thin so the screen can remain down during operation. Easy to install and operate.

"okay fan", I purchased this fan because I enjoy having my window open and bringing fresh air in from outside in the evening. It's a nice fan. I only have 2 issues with it:
1st--It doesn't pull the air in very strongly.
2nd--Turning it on & off can be annoying. You have to go thur the complete cycle of high then all the temperatures then the low speed and then all the temperatures. Only after going thru all that will it shut off. A simple on/off button would have been nicer.

"works great!", Bought this fan to cool a ridiculously warm bedroom & it works like a charm. Fits well in the vertical-slider window & the thermostat setting is a nice feature. Also was a great price.

"Great FAN!", I purchased this fan about 3 years ago, here, for 1/2 the regular price. After getting the first, I got 3 more when they went on sale. I use one at work and the others at home. Our home have no insulation, the sun goes down on our bedroom side. The walls get very hot some days and the heat concentrates in the room all night. I turn on the fan in the exhaust mode about an hour before going to bed and it does a great job moving the heat out. If it gets cooler outside at night I have one side of the fan on intake an another on exhaust, it makes the room feel like you have an air conditioner. I have an air conditioner for use when it gets extremely hot, but we always use the fan to get the heat out before turning the AC on. So far this summer we only had to use the air conditioner 3 times. Another thing I like is that the noise is lower than the AC and it blocks the outside noise, we live in the city. The only thing this fan is missing is a direct off button. You have to go thru all the temperature settings before it shots off, but not really a big deal. They fit perfectly in all the windows they get used. Friends look at it and had asked my if it some kind of AC.

"Great FAN, QUIET!", I purchased this fan a few years back. It is quiet enough to sleep with it on on hot nights. The exhaust option is a +. When I get home I close the bedroom and turn it on and it gets the heat concentrated in the room out and then at night I have one side in and the other out, It cools the room like an air conditioner. If it is hot out at night I just have it in exhaust and it does a desent job on keeping the temperature down inside.
I went ahead an ordered 2 more last year for a second room and the living room. The temperature controls work great and it is a great option. They fit great in the windows. I love them.

"This fan is unbelievable", I have a four level home in an area that is normally very cold - it wasn't constructed for hot weather (sadly not constructed very well around) - it's been in the 90's and it's going to be l02 - with sunrise at 6:00 and sundown at 9:54 - the room getting the full sun get up to 100+ (yes inside) -- it was a nightmare - really couldn't not use some of the rooms and wound up really sick from the heat. Had the ceiling fan going all the time along with 4 room fans and two in the master bath - it was horrible. I put one fan in the bath and one in the bedroom window and within one hour of running one side on exhaust and the other on intake the room has gotten down to 80 and soon after made it to 70 - I can't believe it - I can go back to my chosen room and bath!! I got mine at shopko for slightly less and I think they are the best least expensive purchase I made in like forever - these window fans make 95% less noise than any fan I've ever heard - If I had to buy these every month it would be far less than accute care for heat stroke again ..

"THUMBS DOWN", This fan does not have enough power to even come close to blowing out the hot air from even the smallest room. Go for the industrial strength, expensive ones.

"Does the job!", I bought this fan on the recommendation of a friend.
At the end of a hot day, the temperature inside of my apartment is higher than outside.; this fan takes care of removing the hot air and bringing in cool air from the outside.
It barely fit the width of my window, but extender can be purchase afterwards if that`s a problem. Very easy to install and operate, there is a thermostat so the fan turns on when the temperature gets too high.
Perfect for smaller rooms.
Also the price is definitely right.
