"Good Steamer"
Fast delivery by Amazon with free shipping, is a bit slow to heat up but works great for a long time with a large water capacity and I like buying an American made product. If you need a heavy duty product I think this will fill the bill.I should have bought more attachments as it has a lot of potential for more uses.

"A Waste of Time"
After reading all the great reviews on this steamer I was anxious to try it when it arrived. First I tried to tackle one of my hardest shirts to iron, a white slightly heavy, causal button down. Its so hard to get this shirt looking good that I'm tempted to throw it out every time I find it in the laundry basket. If the steamer could handle this it could handle anything I owned!

Well, it didn't handle it. I spent twice as long steaming it as I would ironing it and it didn't look any better. OK, maybe that's not a good place to start. I grabbed some wrinkle-free shirts. I always leave my dress shirts hanging to dry. I thought for sure one of these would come out great! No. Again, it took forever and still looked bad.

Stick with an iron. I am going to write the company. After what I spent on this thing it should do a much better job. Maybe its useful to steam things you can't iron but if you think its going to help with weekly laundry think again.

"Great steamer"
I love this steamer. I use it to remove wrinkles, and to refresh dry clean only items, such as wool, silk, etc. I steamed all jackets and ties with it, and they all looked like new afterwards.

Update: It's just another gadget - I use it infrequently, mostly to prove my husband wrong. Frankly it's probably easier to pull out the iron, it heats up faster and the results are much better.

"Did not meet expectations"
This product and its reviewers promise a magical machine that removes most wrinkles with ease. I did not find this to be the case. Awkward to use and really requires the use of the Jiffy board (which costs an extra $100). Nearly impossible to remove wrinkles in cotton shirts. This product did not work at all for my needs.

"Love It !"
Works like a charm, the first time used it, I went through 10 button up with collar shirts in 18 minutes and it creases the arms, which impressed me.

The only con I have, is resting the head of the steamer, it's awkward and it has to be precise and even that isn't very stable, I plan on creating something that will hold it while I hang up the pressed garment and get another.

It seems costly at $250.00, but I figure the time it's saving me, it has already paid me back.

It's made well, professional and industrial like, no cheap hardware, it's obvious that it's built to last.

I have never used a steamer before, so I really don't have anything to compare it to.

I bought this based on researching it online and reading reviews.

What our customer's say!

"Removes wrinkles but you will not get the ironed look", This J-4000 steamer does remove the wrinkles but you will never end up with the same look as ironed clothes. Its such a big hassle to hang the clothes and then steam, it sure does take getting used to. Also you will want to take the wait time into consideration to steam your clothes, you need to fill up the tank with water, pre-heat and only then will you get the steam after a few minutes. I believe it is not worth the effort for what you get! You will always need your iron even though you have this.

"be cautioned on which hose length model you get!", I'm looking into getting a steamer and have been eyeing this J-4000I model, and I've seen it with a 5.5' hose and 7.5' hose (for draperies). I haven't purchased either yet, but I thought I'd let everyone know that depending on what you're really buying this steamer for (garments or drapery...or like me, BOTH) the "7.5' Drapery Hose is not for garments which use 5.5' Hoses. The longer drapery hose is not as efficient in steam production required for taking wrinkles out of garments." So... that said, I hope it helps you make the right decision as to which hose length to get. I think I'll probably get the 5.5' hose length model because I'm shooting for whatever steaming process is most powerful/effective. Though I have 96" draperies at home, I'd rather have more steaming power than hose length. Hope this helps!

"After 1 year...", I've had this steamer for over a year now, and frankly,I don't know how I did without it. It is true that it does not totally replace the iron, but my iron only comes out the closet about twice a month now.
It works just as good as the day I received it. As far as sediment build up (I live in Arizona, very hard water) I just put a cap full of vinegar in the tank every so often and it works great keeping everything clear.

Instead of spending money on a steam board, I just stand my ironing board up against the wall. It works great! One of the things I really like besides wrinkle removal is the way it freshens and removes any lingering odors such as smoke or colonge. It's definitly paid for itself already. Would buy this steamer again in a minute if I had to.

"DO NOT buy if you like the ironed look", So I dress up (slacks, shirt & tie) for work everyday. It typically took about an hour to iron my week's worth of clothes. I wasn't about to go and spend $50/month on dry cleaning, so I was looking for a simple solution instead of ironing. Reading the reviews of the Jiffy garment steamer, I thought it was worth a shot (given the reviews) to cut down time w/ the same result. Needless to say, I'm down $250 (the site I bought it from won't take returns - stupid me, should have bought it from amazon).

For those that iron their clothes, and expect a crisp (non-starched), no-wrinkle look - DO NOT GET THIS! I will repeat myself just to help others avoid my same mistake - DO NOT BUY THIS if you are looking for that ironed look! Also, if you include the warm up time, you don't cut down much time.

I'll leave this in closing... If you're looking for a replacement to ironing, this isn't it. I know you've read all the other positive reviews and are like I should just ignore these one or two negative review (I did the same thing), but don't do it! You'll definitely regret it... (save your money for a good iron).

"Excellent but you need the steam board", I bought this since i was tired of ironing my husband's shirts. I did not attempt to iron pants since it never came out well.
Now things are different with the Jiffy 400M steamer. I can even leave a crease by touching the metal steam head on the clothes. But my husband says that it does not have the same feel as the ironed and starched shirts. I have tried to spray some starch on it before I spray, it is difficult since it is hanging free. I am ordering the jiffy steam board from [...] since I hope to improve on the shirts. I now do the pants with the steamer and the pants look like they have been drycleaned. I helps if it is once dry cleaned and I keep it up with the Jiffy.

"Good, but not perfect", The Jiffy steamer works well on linen and shirts with a lot of hard-to-iron detail, but this is not a replacement for your iron. If you are tall, you will bend over a lot to reach the bottoms of pants, etc. that hang while you steam. Also, this is very hard to use without a steam board to push against. But there is a lot of steam and it is very hot, so drapes, linens, etc. are quick work with this steamer.

"More For Commercial Than Home Use", I got this Jiffy steamer for my wife who uses our old steamer all the time. I thought this would make a great upgrade for her but she found it to be too big & cumbersome. She felt it was more suited to a commercial business than for home use. We returned the product & received a credit promptly so great service on the return.

"Jiffy Steamer", Very durable, good quality item. The only drawbacks that I have observed in the approx. 10 minute pre-heat stage. A further 2 minutes is required after to produce steam. The unit holds 4 quarts of water but seems to use up quickly. All-in-all a good product.

"Jiffy Steamer garment steamer", This is an excellent product which has saved me hundereds of dollars at the dry cleaners. A friend of mine told me to get one because it will save a lot of money in dry cleaning bills. She was right! But in addition to that, it's easy to use and does a great job. It not only gets wrinkles out of garmets with difficult folds, but also deodorizes your clothes without harming them. I've used this machine on delicate fabrics such as silks, to heavy wool suits. It does a great job on the whole range of fabrics.

I've seen stores use this machine to keep their clothes wrinkle free.

One downside is that it takes a little while for the steam to heat up, but that's not really a big issue. It also takes up a fair bit of space, so if you are limited in space you might want to think twice before you buy one. (I keep mine in my closet.)

This machine seems to be very durable. I think that this commercial steamer is much better in quality than some of the plastic steamers. Just use a little care to not get hot steam on yourself as this machine gets quite hot. Sometimes I have to hang things on a separate pole in my closet to make it easier to move around the fabric.

"Absolutely a Fantastic Steamer", After alot of research, and almost buying a different, less expensive steamer, I went ahead and spent the extra money and bought the Jiffy J-4000...I couldn't be happier..I have a home-based clothing business, and I have to steam hundreds of garments, and this steamer keeps up with it all...Its quick, puts out alot of steam, and one water tank fill does last quite a long time..Its very easy to use, and it doesn't take up that much space...If you need a professional type steamer, spend the extra money and buy this one...You will love this steamer
