"Do not Buy"
This vac was just ok for about 6 months. However it would not hold a charge and finally would not work at all. Do not buy.

"Shark EP750 Battery"
Would not purchase this vac again the battery did not last a year - other units have much better battery life

"Great Vacuum - here's important info about charging"
We have had this handy dandy vacuum for over a year. Got it after seeing it in action at a friends. I had read the reviews about not holding a charge so before using it I called the Euro Pro service department with that concern and a tech explained how to correctly charge: This unit is NOT designed to remain plugged into the charger constantly. It must be completely charged before first use. Then use until charge has been depleted. Place on stand, plug in to re-charge and unplug when re-charged. The battery will quickly lose its ability to hold a charge if vacuum is kept in the stand while plugged in all the time. Ours is still going strong and makes short order of quick clean up needs - 10 to 15 minutes or so. We only re-charge when it has been depleted - then charge it back up and unplug the base from the electrical outlet. Voila! works perfectly . . . wouldn't be without one.

"Nice Vac"
I love this vac!!! I was so happy that it came with a motorized brush attachment. And the extention wands let me reach up high to suck up dust and cob webs without a chair. I can not live without it now that I have it.

" SHARK ! More like a dead kipper !"
Well well well
looks like i had sucker writen on my face to
dead as a door nail this SUCKS!
battery started to die so I gave it a good long charge
and low and behold the battery fryed the Transformer .

What our customer's say!

"EuroPro chose design over function and it shows.", I initially bought this vacuum because I had previously purchase a Shark canister vacuum and had excellent results with it. I didn't hesitate in buying this one after my great prior experience.

Well, you can't win 'em all.

First, the good. The unit is very compact and includes a variety of accessories including a segmented hard plastic "hose" that turns the hand vac into a virtual upright vac. (At the very least, it would eliminate the need to get on your hands and knees to get the dust bunnies on the floor.) There's a "power brush" of sorts, plus a crevice tool and an upholstery tool. The pieces interchange fairly easily and store neatly in the charging base as seen in the product image. The base can sit on a shelf or be wall mounted. The vacuum is easily emptied and the filters are easily cleaned and/or replaced. With a full charge and a clean filter you get some decent suction out of the vacuum; it's able to pick up loose change, for example, very easily.

Next, the not so good. The plastics on the vacuum are rather cheap feeling, particularly in the debris collection area (which flexes ominously whenever you remove or replace it). You will often find yourself trying to replace the debris bin several times over, thinking you've got it aligned properly but failing to get it back on correctly. The filter gets clogged VERY quickly and will need cleaning and replacement often. The "power brush" is really a joke and will lose "power" the moment it touches even the thinnest carpet. Compared to vacuums with similar power levels, this one is on the loud side. The charging base, while convenient, takes a bit of hand-eye coordination to get the vacuum situated in just the right place. Miss it and you won't charge the vacuum. (To their credit, there's a red LED which lights up when it's charging so you can tell that it's docked properly.)

The absolute worst part of this vacuum is one that has been mentioned here many times before: The battery life sucks, and getting replacements is an absolute nightmare. A brand new battery, fully charged, will give you about 8-10 minutes of power before it needs charging again and it'll take about 30-45 minutes to fully recharge it again. Under normal usage, you can expect the battery to lose its charge within the first 3-4 months; after six months you can expect to get maybe 5 minutes of useful suction out of the vacuum, and after 8-9 months you'll be lucky to get a minute or two out of it. The battery in mine is only 11 months old and I get maybe 20-30 seconds out of it before it dies completely.

Replacement batteries are not available in any retail store that I've found. You have to contact EuroPro directly, and their customer service is among the worst I've encountered. It took more than two months of repeated emailing and calling before I was able to obtain a replacement battery and it took another eight weeks for that battery to arrive at my door, which means I was effectively without a vacuum for more than four months. Courteous emails to EuroPro expressing my displeasure with the vacuum and with EuroPro's customer service did not receive a response.

I recently replaced this vacuum with a DeWalt model that I'm much happier with (see my other reviews). If you can at all help it, avoid this vacuum. If you were (un)fortunate enough to receive one as a gift, don't open the box. Return it for store credit or eBay it and use the proceeds to buy something better, ideally from a company other than EuroPro. I can't honestly say that this is the worst vacuum I've ever seen -- it DOES have some redeeming benefit such as the charging station, hence the two star rating -- but it's certainly much less than average in my opinion.

"Poor battery life", This product worked great at first. Then it would only last for a minute or two. Then it stopped working all together. I had it for a year, maybe little less.

"This thing is a piece of junk. Don't buy it.", Right out of the box it's had problems. Fist they just throw all the parts in a plastic bag and then dump it in some peanuts. This one looked as if it had been used. The battery was giving out after a couple of seconds. I have a shark steam cleaner that is great but this looks like it was made by a group of 3 year olds.

"Wish I'd read these reviews", This is an expensive item (we paid $79 for the wet/dry version) for it not to even last for two years - hardly used. Our vac also only operates for about 10 secs now before dying. Why get a rechargable if you can't keep it on the charger (especially when the manual says to do so at all times)? The battery is horrible. This company should not be supported.

"Nice product, if it weren't for the battery", I owned this vac for about 4 or 5 years. I totally agree with all other reviewers that gave this vac one star, BUT I give it 4. Here is why.

- It is extremely powerful.
- The battery holds up almost forever -- IF IT IS THE RIGHT BATTERY (see below). I often leave this vac lying on the floor next to me while I'm doing some small house project. I turn it on, pick up dust and debris, and put it down. Keep doing this for the entire day, and the vac holds up on a single charge.
- Easy clean-up. I bought 3 filters from Amazon. Wash one, let it dry, meanwhile use one of the others.

OK, now about the battery. Yes, it died in half a year. No, I didn't order a new one from the manufacturer. I ordered 12 Sub-C Ni-MH batteries; you can find them on the Web for $2.75 a pop. Expensive? You bet. But after I connected these batteries into a 14.4V pack, the vacuum became almost immortal.

My home-made pack died after holding up for about 3 years. I ordered those batteries again...

What I really don't understand is why Euro-Pro still uses Ni-Cad batteries (and crappy ones, too) rather than Ni-MH.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Meh", I've had this for a few years now and only used it about a year. It worked ok for picking up little spills, but those could have easily been done with a broom. It didn't work too well on carpets as it always seemed to leave a little bit behind. Frankly, I think it was a waste of money. It doesn't even work anymore as I had it stored in a closet for a few years and found it again a few weeks ago. I plugged it in to charge and the light came on, but when i went to use it the light was no longer on and it won't work at all. Its going in the garbage as I have no use for a broken hand vac.

"Believe the battery horror stories!", This product gets one star, only because I can't give it less. I used this vac one or twice a week, for about five minutes at a crack, each time. The battery showed signs of failure after about 4 months -- by then, I could no longer get even five minutes out of it. Six weeks later (after 5 1/2 months!), the battery is totally dead and the product useless (replacement batteries are expensive, and Shark won't get an opportunity to rip me off twice!).

"POOR Battery Life", I agree with the others. The battery life is not acceptable.
I've owned it for a year. I
- Average use was once / week
- Suction was great (at first)
- Attatchments were great.
- Easy storage.
If not for the battery life, this is a wonderful product.

"Zero Stars!", The battery is way below standard, extremely disappointing. It's cheaper to buy another machine than to replace it.

"Don't buy this vacuum!", I bought an earlier model of this product several years ago. After a year or so, as with so many other buyers, it wouldn't hold a charge, and I had to throw it out. However, I liked its powerful motor and the convenience of using a cordless vacuum, so I decided to give Euro-Pro another chance and bought this model.

It was fine for over a year, and I felt I had finally found a dependable product. However, it's now been a year and four months, and I'm again at the point where it won't hold a charge. In addition, the last time I used it, the vacuum felt hotter than usual and I smelled a faint burning smell. Needless to say, that was the last time I used it. I think another reviewer also mentioned the possibility of it overheating.

I am currently trying a Black and Decker cordless and hoping it will be a more reliable---and safer!--- product.
