"Works great for the price"
I've had this for well over a year. Works great, I use this on locomotives every day at work. I use this to boil water for coffee and oat meal etc. love the size. I am ordering another before they discontinue this model, can't beat the price. It takes about 10 minutes to boil but this is with a 74 volt system.

"Very Pleased, Perfect for Office"
Even when you just run water through our coffee pot at work it still tastes like coffee and I don't like coffee. So I wanted a small kettle that I could have on my desk and just heat enough water for a cup or two without it taking up too much space. It is small, quiet and efficient.

"Works fast!"
Even totally full, it works rather quickly so you'll have hot water in no time.

"Great little kettle"
I'm rather surprised by some of the reviews that suggest these little things don't last. I've had one for going on ten years now and have never had any problems with it. I've had to descale it a few times depending on the type of water I used but that is pretty typical for most of these kettles. I also own a t-fal that is at least five years old. It is larger, not quite as cute but easier to clean as the heating element hidden under a plate so instead of boiling diluted vinegar I can sometimes just wipe it clean. The heating element on the mini ibis is exposed (think thin coiled metal pipes hovering over the bottom).

I bought it back when I was a starving grad. student and it was my only kettle for several years of serious use. Eventually I bought a stove top model because I moved to an apartment that didn't even have counter space for this little thing and this electric kettle became our office kettle (used by 6-7 students). It has followed me from apartment to apartment and from city to city. Now that I'm finally settled, we lost it in our last move and I am now looking for a new one to replace it.

The only issue I've had with mine is that over time the heat did slowly warp the lid a little bit so that steam escaped during it's last few years of service and I had to be careful when picking it up (but we're talking over five years old here) and I can imagine that the latch used to lock the lid down would be difficult for arthritic hands to manipulate (it's very small).

Otherwise this has been a very handy, very reliable, very compact kettle. I suppose it's possible that the quality has gone down since I purchased mine but, if so, I'll repost a new review after I get my replacement.

"Mini Ibis"
This is my second mini ibis electric water kettle. I wore the first one out it was used so much. I like the size, heats fast and the lid stays on. :)

What our customer's say!

"not what I expected - I returned this.", I ordered the item, thinking it was a replacement but when I received it, it was not the right item (or size) I returned it and have already received notice of its return. I am pleased with how Amazon handled this.
Thank you.

"OW OW OW OW", OW MY THUMB I JUST BURNED MY THUMB BECAUSE STEAM VENTS OUT THE BACK WHEN YOUR POUR IT WHY WAS THAT A GOOD IDEA OW OW OW

...I really did just burn myself not 60 seconds ago.

"Hot Pot", I found this product very useful. It takes much less
time to boil than even my microwave and easy to clean.

"I Love My Bodum!", I purchased this water kettle because as a tea drinker, I was tired of using the hotel room coffee pot to make a cup of funny tasting tea when traveling. This model boils water super fast, and although originally purchased for travel, I use it every day.

"bodum miniibus", I stopped using a microwave and the mini ibus from Bodum is just what I needed. It heats water quickly and shuts off automatically so that I don't have to wait for it to finish.

"Super for sippers", This is the little teapot that could. Fast and easy heating of water and much hotter than any microwave, It's a buy!

"Great Electric Tea Kettle", This electric kettle is awesome, heats incredibly fast, and holds just the right amount of water for one person for tea. I had one before, which I keep on our camper, and wanted one for taking on trips. It packs well, and is light. I've had the first one for two years, and it is still kicking!

"Portable, serviceable kettle", My wife and I recently took this kettle on a road trip to New England to boil water for morning tea, and it served quite well. Too early yet to tell about its durability, but it is quick and easy to use.

"Great Little Water Heater", I purchased this little water pot so I could quickly heat water to warm up my thermal coffee pot. I have not been disappointed. It is very quick and easy to use. My coffee is hotter than ever now that I heat the thermal pot with boiling water. A great buy for the price.

"Perfect for office", Quick, efficient. A little noisy perhaps, and the lid can be difficult to get on or off until you've gotten the trick of it, but there's no plastic taste or smell, and it heats very quickly -- 60 seconds to heat up enough water for a big cup of tea. Recommended.
