"works great as a stone heater for hot stone massage!" For about a dozen large stones, this cooker is really nice to heat stones for a hot stone massage treatment. It s got a good temperature gauge, heats up really fast, and doesn't take up too much space in a small office. "Excellent product at a fraction of the cost of most crockpots!" In an age when most crockpots are pricy when they are made of heavy duty, nonstick aluminum, this little kettle is a great solution. It's perfect for serving 2-4 people, and the cleanup is amazing! It goes right into the dishwasher (without the cords and temperataure gauge, of course). The only thing you need to know is to cook it on low (200-250) if you want to use this as a crockpot. Also, my last crockpot got so hot on the bottom it cracked my countertop. This kettle is supported by sturdy legs that lift it up high off the counter so the counter barely gets warm. Love it and the price is right. I use it at least once a week! Happy in Wisconsin "Presto Does the Job" This cooker does just what it says it does. I am enjoying cooking with it and it is also very easy to clean up. I have owned Presto in the passed and will buy them again in the future. "Electric Multi-Cooker" This was a replacement for one that I had had for years. It works just as good as the first one. Love it. "Delicious Fried Chicken!" This Presto Kettle is a wonderful deep fryer. I have only used it to fry chicken and fries. The chicken came out crispy, tender and juicy. I didn't use regular oil though. I used Louana Coconut oil from Wal-Mart. It's all natural, non hydrogenated, heats quicker and the food will not be greasy. No, there is no coconut flavor, its tasteless. Works great in this fryer. I would buy this fryer again, it cooks perfectly and evenly.

"Great as a fryer", Bought this guy to replace a fryer that cost more than twice the price and this one is easier to use and does a better job than the other one I had (and gave away). I'm looking forward to using it for other things now that the cooler weather is on its way. It also cleans up very easily. "COOKS ALMOST EVERYTHING PERFECT", Got one of these for Christmas thinking it was just another gadget to stuff away in the back of the cabinet. Not so. I use it 2 or 3 times a week. I've fried fish, shrimp, fries, green tomatoes and chicken with excellent results but I mainly use it for slow cooking. Soups, stews, meatballs, fajitas, even stir fry dishes. To me what it cooks best is pasta. It takes a while for the water to come to a boil but once it does it stays at a boil and you never have to adjust the temperature like on a stove. Plus it is 110v instead of 220v. I even made a meatloaf in it. It also fits in the fridge easily as well as the dishwasher. "Very practical and efficient", I use this multi kettle cooker mostly as a deep fryer. Although it doesn't have designer appeal it really does the job in the kitchen. "Presto Kettle", Have a "Dazy" kettle with a crock insert, used for twenty years to deep fry and slow cook. This is almost the same thing, the crock fits it. I lost the lid for the Dazy, so recently purchased this 06000 for a counter kettle, cooking raw shrimp, soup, chili, just about anything you would cook on a stove top. Walmart had it @ $19.xx. Buy one, no regrets!! The travel thing is not something I would use. If you need to transport a hot meal, just put it in a small cooler. "Great little kitchen gadget", I love this pot. Haven't used it for frying anything yet, but based on my experience with frying stuff, it would serve the purpose. Love the fact that I can control the temperature. I made a perfect roux for my gumbo in it. Very sturdy and easy to clean while not too expensive. Highly recommend it. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Super", This was a replacement pot & I can't say enough about it. I do wish it was a little bigger but that is my only complaint. for the price you can't get any better "Works like a great "POT"", Works great for frying, slow cooking and everything else it's supposed to do. I've had no problems with it at all and I love the thermostat because I can cook everything in this pot instead of just using it as a deep fryer like some other pots. I recommend it to anyone looking for a mid sized fryer and cooking pot. It's great for chili or soups! "Not good for deep frying ", I bought this product to use as a deep fryer, and I do not Presto 06000 Kitchen Kettle Multi-Cookerrecommend it for this purpose. The first time I used it, I set it at the maximum temperature (400 degrees) as directed by the manual. I let the oil preheat for about 15 - 20 minutes (this seemed like a long time, but again, this was the manual's direction) and the temp light went off, indicating the oil had reached 400 degrees (so I thought). I put in some breaded okra (a small amount, about 1/3 of the basket's capacity) and I immediately knew that the oil wasn't hot enough, as it barely bubbled when the food hit it. I left the okra in the oil for almost 20 minutes and it barely turned brown. The second time I used the cooker, I again set it at 400, and checked the oil (with no food added) with my kitchen thermometer once the cooker temp light went off. The temperature was only 290 degrees. I left the cooker on for another 10-15 minutes and it got up to 300 but would not go higher. This isn't hot enough for good results with deep frying. If you want only to make soups or stews, this apparently is a good product. But it's not the best deep fryer. "great for candles", With a little help from my husband, this product can be turned into a wax melter for candles! Works great! It takes a lot of time off of using a double broiler and trying to get the temperature correct "Great Product", The Kitchen Kettle Multi Cooker by Presto is a wonderful product with some great features. It has a magnetic breakaway cord so there is no knocking over the kettle if you happen to reach for something and accidently get caught or pull on it. It also has an easy to read control dial for the temperature,so it's easy to keep the heat consistant. Overall it's very easy to use and it's just a great product. I give it two thumbs up. It's one of my better purchases. |
