"Nice...BUT"
The primary reason I bought this was to be able to set a temperature, and forget about the heater until spring. This was not possible. I set the temperature to 75 degree (on the auto/high setting. The unit kicked on and the temp in the room started to rise. Awesome. Started at 68 degrees. 69. 70. 71. 72. 73. 74. 75...it'll probably shot off now, right? Wrong. 76...I'm thinking "Ok maybe it goes a degree or two over to keep the fluctuation in temp right around the temp I set. No big deal." 77. 78. 79. 80.....93 degrees. Uhm yeah...some "auto" feature.

"READ YOUR INSTRUCTIONS PEOPLE!"
I found this to be an awesome heater! You have to read your instructions twice & then you'll get it!
I don't think some people actually read instructions & that's why they are having issues with this l'heater...

"We Love it"
This small powerful heater keeps the room comfortable. It is great. When our boiler was being repaired our bedroom was just fine.

"Smart little heater!!"
I almost did not buy this because of the negative reviews. I'm glad I did. It is a great heater. The thing is-- it is smart. This heater is designed to work wirelessly between the remote and the unit. If you don't read the directions thoroughly, you will have problems. If you read the instructions completely, (don't just skim over and assume you know how it will work)you will be very pleased with your purchase. It is a little pricey but it is because of the computerized remote. I have never been able to sleep with heat in my bedroom because it gets too hot and I can't breathe. This heater is so accurate that I slept like a baby. You can set it to turn on and pre-warm a room if you want to. Or set it to run, up to 16 hrs, and go off totally. I prefer the thermostat that runs the heater til it reaches set temp.then it goes off til temp. falls below set number. Then it will come on again. It is very small, but puts out an amazing amount of heat. You get a 2 year waranty. I hope I don't need it. However, I will send the card in. The complaints mentioned by other reviewers can be fixed by new batterys or by moving the remote closer to unit. You have 30 feet before it looses wireless connectivity. Or if the remote is covered up with something it will not work. The remote must be in the same room as the unit also. If you change settings constantly this will mess it up. Leave it alone. Sometimes it only takes a couple of minutes to reach the set temperature. Then the unit goes off like it is supposed to. Its not broken. It works so quickly that some people think it is broken. Set the thermostate higher and it will run longer. DUH!!!
The heater is smarter than a lot of the customers!Read the directions! In this day and age I can't see why people are too stubborn to take the time to read instructions. They will save you a lot of hassle down the road.
I will buy another one of these smart little heaters next year for my office!! I Love it.

"Still waiting for one that works"
I have been through two of these heaters-neither worked. The company promised to send out another, but it has been over a month since I purchased one online and am still waiting in the cold for them to send me one that works.

What our customer's say!

"Should have headed the negative reviews", Not very impressed with this heater. When I first got it, it sat there, just humming, with a burning plastic smell. I carefully took it apart and found that the fan was not attached to the motor in the back. There is no way it came off during shipment because it seats in very firmly, making it an easy permanent fix. Most likely it was never attached from the factory - poor quality control. The plastic casing itself is very brittle, with one edge chipping while I was putting it back together. Now that its finally working, I was disappointed to hear how loud it is. Definitely the loudest electric heater I've ever heard. I think this is due to the design, resulting in turbulent air flow within the unit. As a positive though, this thing pours out an impressive amount of heat for its size. In addition, the thermostat is a really nice feature that seems to work well.

"didn't work", The unit I received shuts off unexpectedly when set on 'auto' and has an odd buzzing sound. I'm returning mine.

"It's a 5 star - WHEN IT WORKS!", Our very first order of this heater in 2005 worked great for 2 years, before it stopped working all together. I live in San Francisco where it's very cold all year long and our house has no insulation, so this heater was used often in the baby's room. So I can understand why it would break after 2 years of daily use. But it was perfect because I set the thermostat at 68 degrees and never had to worry about the baby being cold.

I don't know if the quality has just deteriorated since my 2005 purchase, because I purchased another one in 2007, it worked for 2 months, then it stopped. I purchased another one in April 2008, and it didn't work at all. I sent it back to amazon to get a replacement, and that replacement had broken parts and was rattling inside the heater. I am awaiting the 3rd and final replacement, because if this 3rd one doesn't work, then I am going to find another heater. However, I cannot find out with a thermostat that works accurately. So this heater, if you get one that works, is GREAT, but it seems like the quality has gotten worse in the last 3 years.

"Excellent Product", this is the only moderately priced heater I know of the has a remote temperature sensor and control. This is the second one I have purchased.

"needs more fan power", Nice heater with good features. The thermostat and timer featurea work well. The problem is that the heat comes out of the three sided front, and the air is drawn in through a 4 inch diameter hole in the back. The fan does not push the air out into the room. Good for a small room like a bathroom, but not for a lager application.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"If only I could get one that worked....", A friend of mine has one of these and it's been a workhorse. Of particular usefulness is the Galileo remote which has the thermostatic sensor on it. I've tried other brands that had the room temperature sensor on the unit and they were drastically off (sensor too close to the heating element).

Unfortunately, the first unit that I ordered had a bad readout display on one of the temperature digits (you could only read part of the number). I exchanged it for another using Amazon's phenomenally easy exchange procedure (unlike the manufacturer who said the remote was "not under warranty unless I bought it from them directly"). The replacement unit had a fine remote display (which was also accurate to a fraction of a degree), but the heating unit had a permanent buzzing sound that sounded like a transformer. This wasn't a problem in a noisy room, but it was loud enough to disturb sleep in a bedroom.

"Great for a while, but watch out!", This little heater has given us nights of confident sleeping, knowing the boy's room would be kept just right. Though our heater did occasionally show some of the problems mentioned below, (random turning off, once not shutting off when it should) for the most part is has done well until tonight when our boy ran crying from his room that his heater was doing scary things. It was shorting out or something equally disturbing - crackling and smelling of burnt wires. I'm just glad he was awake when it happened. It has been acting funnier and funnier the last few days (shutting down frequently when it shouldn't) so beware those symptoms.

"Exceptional unit for the price", I operate an animal rescue (African hedgehogs) where room temperature is very important. I use three of these heaters at the rescue for supplemental heating at the floor level in our external building (The Hedgiehouse) and the Dispensary (in the lower level of our home). All three have worked remarkably well over the last four years, especially when the outside temperature fell to levels where the heating system in the external building could not handle the cold (20 below zero). The units have proven safe, quiet, and the thermostats reasonably manageable - certainly better than other space heaters we have tried.

"A great little heater", I have a sunken den which stays colder than the rest of the house in the winter. We considered putting in a gas auxiliary heater but did not want to compromise the decor. The fireplace produces no appreciable heat. Instead we tried putting this little unobstrusive heater on the hearth, and were surprised when it raised the area temperature five degrees. We can now enjoy the den and entertain without the normal chill during the winter. I really like the remote thermostat, which allows me toprecisely control the temperature. I was so delighted I bought another one.

"Purchased for Infant Daughter's Room", I purchased this heater almost two years ago for our infant daughter's room. It has worked great. Her room is approximately 13x14. We had no trouble figuring out how to use the remote. We place it across the room and it works just fine. We're now expecting our second child and will move it to her room for continued use (or maybe even buy a second one).
