Others say...
"For the price not that bad" I've been sewing since I was the age of 6. Twenty years later I am alot better than when I started. I remember my mom bought me alittle play sewing machine, but it is nothing in comparison to this little machine. I wish this could have been my first sewing machine. I bought this little machine for a girl that wants to learn to sew, but I have borrowed it from time to time from her to do some repair works while I am not home where my fancy expensive machine is, and I must say for the money ... Not bad, not bad at all. Threading is childs play and even the stitching is slow enough so that any beginer or child can keep up with it. I will not recomend it though for making of clothes or heavy duty jobs, but it perfect for kids or just little repair works. "Very good machine for the price - for those who don't sew "a lot"" I love this little sewing machine to my heart. I don't sew a lot and hence this little one is good enough for me to add a small bow to my daughter's dress, make the pants/shirts little tighter if needed etc. For a professional stitcher or for those who sew "a lot", I don't recommend this product. "Big Disappointment !" I purchased this machine for my daughter to start learning how to work with a sewing machine. What a disappointment! The bottom bobbin does not work correctly. It seems that there are parts missing. I'm returning it today for a refund. "NOT GOOD" I tried your sewing machine, and honestly I was very dissapointed. The 1st time I used it got stuck and jamed, and I will be taking it back to the Store for a refund, I only bought it so I did not have to bring out my big machine, but I should have known better It does not even do SMALL jobs properly at least there should have been some way that you could un jam it I know that it is not expensive but for little jobs it should have worked Thank you "Use your own thread" I don't believe this unit deserves all the negative reviews that it has gotten. Much to my delight this gizmo was able to do basic sewing after a bit of practice on my part. It is capable of sewing light fabrics using the materials provided. For heavier fabric like pants, you really need to use your own thread. Otherwise, it's useless. As another poster noted, you might want to buy your own needles as well, though I haven't tried that. This unit paid for itself after I hemmed three pairs of pants! Not bad for an absolutely basic sewing machine.

Why I buy this one ? - Compact, easy-to-use, pre-threaded sewing machine designed for beginners - Good stitch control on variety of fabrics from heavy denim to delicate silk - Drop-in horizontal bobbin; control panel for power, speed, and light - Comes with 100-piece sewing accessory kit - Operates via adaptor or four AA batteries for portability; one-year warranty It's better to buy this one too...
What our customer's say! "Mediocre at best.", The only thing thats good about it is the small size. Its cute but gets stuck really easily.. "Got it for crafts, not for regular sewing", I just got this little machine home. It was $20 at Target and I had a $5.00 coupon. I have been reading about using mini machines for crafting and paper stitching, so that's what I intend to do with this one and why I bought it (and because it's very lightweight and battery powered, but comes with an adapter.) I have an older Pfaff electronic sewing machine, which I love and use for regular sewing. I've only tried this one out on the little piece of cotton it came with so far. I'm actually amazed it sews at all. The uppper thread has snapped a couple of times, but it's cheap thread (the thread it came with.) And the light dims when I begin to sew, but it actually does stitch OK so far. If it doesn't work well on paper, which I'll try next, I'll probably return it, but so far I'm not that disappointed for a $20 machine. My advice: If you are serious about sewing and looking for your first machine, spend about $30 to $50 more and get a real machine (or for $100 you can get any number of great machines, and it will be worth the investment.) The reviews I've read for mini-machines recommend the Janome Sew Mini. It gets very good reviews and sells for about $60 or sometimes less. This one's just for fun or crafts. I would NOT depend on this one for important sewing, but OK otherwise. Do your research before you buy. "Cheap", I got this as a gift, and thought it was perfect because all I need to use it for is hemming pant legs. On my first pair I got through one leg, but on the second it jammed three times and the needle broke in half! I was not being rough at all! Buy a machine that can get you through your projects. It's not this one. "2 needles broke, jammed", I got this over 2 years ago, and stuck it in my closet after i couldn't get it to work. I decided to give it another try, and took it out. Finally after messing with the bottom bobbin, it finally operated. I was so excited! So I tried using it today, and somehow the needle bent while I was sewing a pillow case - nothing too thick. I saw that the needle broke. So I took that off, and read the instructions to "clamp" the needle in. Did that - while I was tightening the needle clamp, the cheap plastic clamp cracked! I wasn't exerting much force. I didn't notice the crack until I began sewing with the 2nd needle they give you, and then it got jammed again! Since the needle wasn't broken, I don't think there is a way to get the needle out, that is stuck in the bottom bobbin, other than to break it. So I broke it, and have a broken needle clamp as well. Any suggestions to get a replacement part for this thing? "JAMMING AGAIN", I bought this machine, for minor sewing jobs. It was able to stitch I guess, 1 ft length of dress and then began jamming. And then it never stopped jamming again. I called the company for some customer support on how I could repair it at home....never got through at all. It never even went to the answering service...always busy!!! It sucked all the way. I am returing it BACK ASAP!!! ![]() Read this reviews before You buy... "A Cute Lil' Toy", Alright, I must admit I'm cheap. I had a gift certificate and could have a bought a REAL sewing machine. But istead I was lurred in by this cheap alternative. It arrived and I thought hmm... this can't be it the box is so small. But hey, don't judge by size correct? How about weight, I always remembered my grandmother's huge sewing machine and how heavy it was, and this arrived and weighed less than an average paperback book. Color, yes very cute looking, lots of colorful strings and such but the fact of the matter is it's a TOY!! I made some little bags out of very thin cotton to try it out. They seemed to turn out alright, but even after adjusting the tension the stitches wouldn't hold. But I wasn't really upset until I went to fix a 1 cm strap on a dress I've been wanting to repair. It was made out of a thin rayon and it jammed. Then it jammed again. Six tries later it was all I could do not to throw it out the window. 1 cm! So folks, take my advice: don't be cheap, spend the extra $50 and buy a real machine. I really wish I had gone with the Singer that was refurbished for only $80. Good luck! "BEAUTIFUL", YES, THIS IS A VERY NICE ITEM.I AM BUYING THIS ON SATURDAY KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!!! "Short and Sweet", I am not a pro, nor an amateur, but I found this little machine very, very helpful and worth the money for small odd jobs. I have already put a hem on a quilt that I have been wanting to finish for five years (but was too lazy to sew it by hand) and it did a great job! It stiched through three layers of fabric with no problem. My next project is curtains and, so far, I am very pleased with my purchase. I do not have the room to store a larger machine and I do not have the ambition to sew anything requiring anything more than what this great little machine offers. The only thing that I do not like about it is that it slides sometimes, since it is so small and lightweight, that you have to hold it with one hand and guide the fabric with the other. I am sure there is a way to remedy the problem, I just haven't figured it out yet. It was worth the thirty dollars and I would buy another one, if I had to, in a heartbeat. It is not fancy, you get what you pay for, but if you just want a little machine to hem things up, make pillow cases, curtains and other odds and end jobs, this machine is for you. "Jam central...", I'm fairly petite and thus have been forced to learn how to hem and alter clothing at an early age- I bought this item figuring it'll do for simple hemming projects. BOY WAS I WRONG...right off the start, the threading kept jamming up. When I called customer support, they made it sound like I was the one who couldn't use this three-button machine. After a few hours and massive seam ripping to redo and undo the threading and trying out different fabrics- I threw up the white flat and returned it to Amazon. THANK HEAVENS I bought it from Amazon, the return was simple & painless. "No way", Dressmaker, huh? Don't even try to make a dress with this thing. I sewed a whoppin' 6 inches with it, 5 of which had to be ripped out. The needle gets stuck and a wad of thread under the bobbin cover must be cut free to get the it out and start the process over. The underside of the fabric will also have a ton of excess thread, hence why I ended up with 1 inch of halfway decent stitches out of 6. I don't wish this frustration on anyone. I'm not even going to donate this to a thrift store, I'm throwing it out. ![]() |
