"Wonderful" Got this for my work since I'm the only one use it in the early morning. It's perfect for a cup of coffee. use this for every morning and still works great. It's a great coffeemaker and great price! "great little coffeemaker" I bought this for my son's apartment. He really likes it and says it works great. It's just right for him as he doesn't drink a huge amount of coffee. "Defective On Switch??? " Purchased this and used it for approx 2 weeks... woke up one morning, tried to make coffee and I could not get the brewer to turn on.... tried another outlet and other appliance worked on the outlet I was using. The brewer just stopped functioning... the 2 weeks I used it I thought the product was "ok".. wasn't thrilled with it and decided to keep it anyway..then it broke. The cup size was very small, the coffee filter that comes with the product is very flimsy...but I was going to try to live with all that. Trying a bit more expensive brewer... glad it stopped working before my 30 days expired to return it. The concept is great... just one cup at a time using your own coffee..I also own a Senseo - and wanted to switch to my own coffee for awhile to use up my supply before it goes stale. Going to try the Cuisanart 4 cup brewer ... hopefully it will last me for years instead of weeks. I would not recommend the above product to a friend. "coffee maker" This prodic is every thing I wanted. The coffee maker performes better than I expected. It not only makes coffee, but makes hot water for cereal,or tea. It takes less than two minutes to have hot coffee. My wife uses this prodic every day. I would recemend this coffee maker to anyone. "More trouble than it was worth " I love coffee. But I am the only coffee drinker at home. Sounds like a perfect situation for a cup-at-a-time coffee maker, right? I thought so too, so I ordered this little guy from Amazon. I tried to use the mesh filter that came with the coffee maker, but grounds kept ending up in my coffee. Then I added paper cones, which worked ok. I couldnt find cones small enough so I had to wedge a much larger cone in the smaller space. It worked, but was frustrating. However, the coffee maker will only fit the standard coffee mug. My coffee mugs arent that much taller, but they wont work with this guy. I had to give him the boot after an earnest month of trying to adapt.

What our customer's say! "Practical", This item is very satisfying. Not only is it practical it's also easy and fast to use. Especially since I only drink coffee once in morning and another cup in the late afternoon. It serves it purpose and I'm very happy with it, of course you can't beat the price either. One thing which really doesn't matter but I think it should have come with it's own mug. "Very good product for the price", Wow, I am pleasantly surprised at this item. It works great and for the low price of $9.99!! The coffee tastes great and not once has it spilled over. I bought it because the coffee at work is an acquired taste, which means YUK! Glad I bought it and not disappointed at all. Get it, you'll be glad you did! "Great little maker", Great little coffee maker. It's compact so it doesn't take up room on the counter. Great for singles or a quickie cup-of-joe. The only drawback is you can't fit a taller mug in the unit. "LOVE IT!! I use it everyday!!", I bought this coffee maker about a month and a half ago because I didn't like using the Keurig coffee machine at work anymore, and sometimes I just wanted to brew one cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee in the afternoon, which doesn't come in a K-cup. I used to bring a big Thermos to work too, but I didn't want to keep carrying it back and forth anymore as I'm trying to learn to travel light. I found this one and was happy to see that it came with a filter, used regular coffee and not K-cups, pods, etc., and was really basic. There were others that came with special insulated mugs, or other bells and whistles, but I already have plenty of mugs and just wanted something that brews coffee. I keep the coffee machine on the credenza behind me, along with some stirrers, coffee, plastic cup for measuring, and the #1 paper filers, in my office at work and use it to brew my afternoon coffee. Even with all of that stuff, I keep it in a corner, it doesn't take up that much space. I keep my mug (not a tall one though) ready for brewing in the machine and just push down the button when I'm ready to brew. The auto shut-off feature is a nice touch for people who might forget to turn off their coffee machine. You should note that even though the coffee machine is shut off, let it drip for another 30 seconds at least while it finishes. Everything is easy to take out and clean (I think it is dishwasher safe, but I wash it in the sink at work so don't quote me). I debated about getting the #1 filters because it was just another thing to buy, and 12 packs to boot, but after trying it for a few days with just the permanent filter (some coffee grinds ended up in my cup), and even trying the folded basket filter someone else suggested (good idea, but still kind of a pain every time I wanted a cup), I caved and bought the right sized filters. I'm glad I did because I just pop it in the permanent filter (extra precaution against grounds) and scoop my coffee in. It brews a great cup at work. I'm all set on filters for a while, and I'll keep brewing until I run out. I did see the filters at Whole Foods today, which was a surprise because I couldn't find this size anywhere before, but they were more expensive than what I paid on Amazon, so I'll probably buy another 12 pack when the time comes. Another review had mentioned that the coffee wasn't hot enough, and another person mentioned running the mug under hot water before you brew the cup. That was a nice trick, and I use it as well. The coffee IS hot when it is brewed, but I did notice that in a cold mug (it's near the window overnight) the coffee doesn't stay hot as long as I would like it to. A quick rinse under hot water keeps it warm longer and you can take a little more time as you sip. "Good little coffee pot", This coffee pot works well for the "cup-at-a-time" person. I had a Senseo but it died on me. This little coffee pot was only about 15 dollars I think and a new Senseo was 85 or 90. I do like the Senseo better but this does the trick.

"Perfect for College Dorms", Bought for my daughter in college and she and her 4 roommates have used it daily for a year and a half without any problems. Each can have her favorite flavored coffee. Best of all they don't have to worry about buying filters or worry about replacing a broken coffee pot. "don't judge by the size", I have had a cup at a time since I was 18 and that has been 20 or so years now. When I was single and just wanted one cup of Joe it was perfect. Not only making a flavorful cup but, it was hot and tasty. You can also quick brew tea, if you wash the filter well between cups.The only problem I could think of is it only comes in white. ohh well. Not that large of a problem. "Black & Decker DCM7 Cup-At-A-Time Coffeemaker, White", I finally found a product that my husband actually uses. He loves how quick he can get a cup of coffee. This was a good buy at a very good price. |
