"great for diaper changing station", i use this thermos next to my son's changing table. instead of buying wipes i just use some small clothes (imse vimse's) and wet them with the room temp. water in the thermos and it works wonderfully. since i already use cloth diapers it didn't make sense to use paper wipes. i just put everything in the same bag and wash it all together.

truly, there is no need for any fancy solution or a warmer, water and a cloth does the dirty job just fine.

"great for warming cloth wipes for diaper changes!", i use cloth wipes, and this pump pot is perfect for holding warm water to moisten my wipes as i need them. it's particularly invaluable in the middle of the night, when i don't want to trudge into the bathroom and wait for the water to get hot, while my baby is waiting to be cleaned. while the water isn't as warm 18 hours later, as when i first put it in, it is still highly reliable for my use. anything that makes my nights smoother is worth it to me!

"Keeps coffee hot but pump stopped working", It keeps coffee hot a good while - longer if you pour hot water in it for a minute or so to heat it up before putting the coffee in.
MY only complaint is that the pump started sticking - its crazy - the pump works if you prop the top open slightly, but if you close it, the pump sticks in the down position, and there's nothing to cause it as far as I can see. I still use it because it holds a day's worth of coffee - I just have to prop the top ajar to pump.
Oh - and you CAN take the top off - open to 45 degrees and pull up.

"Never again", Would not purchase anything again through Amazon that uses a second party. This is the second issue with a second party shipping items purchased on Amazon. Target does not support a return even if product is destroyed during shipping. Go to the store and you get what you would expect from Target, poor service and employees that are not helpfull. If I wanted to go to Target I would have. I went to Amazon because they have been a good source in the past. Would be reluctant to purchase on line again.

"OUCH... this pot design pinches fingers!", I have uesd many thermal pump pots and found this one really needs improvements on it's "open top" button and it's "pump-action" button. These buttons are really unstable and wobbly and thus getting ones fingers pinched in them is common place...OUCH!

There is a MUCH better design to look for that we use at work that looks very similiar to this one but has instead lid opener buttons on the sides of spout (MUCH better design) and also has a stainless stell pump bar that lifts up and locks in place for pumping. Look for this design rather than this all plastic one and I guarantee you will be much happier with it. When I purchased this one I was actually thinking it would be similiar to the ones we use at work but I was wrong. I actually hate this one and regret getting it. I didn't read or look at the picture closely enough to realize this one didn't have side buttons or stainless pump bar. Dang, I wished I'd looked before I leaped and bought this one.

"pumps slow", Takes forever to pump fluid out of this. I returned this due to not very useful.

"Coffee Pump", It's come in quite handy, seems to be well made and works as described.


"Great Way to Keep Your Coffee or Tea Hot for Hours", You gotta give it to Thermos to sell nicely designed pot that keeps my pot of coffee or tea for hours while I entertain guests. It's nicely design and works really well. I'd make a pot of coffee before the guests arrive and pour into this pot, and make another pot in my coffee maker to make sure there is plenty of hot coffee to go around.

"Coffee lover's dream...(with reservations)", I'm a die-hard coffee drinker and have used pump pots for years. This was purchased last year and here are my thoughts:
1) Will keep coffee hot and fresh for hours. Not luke warm, but almost as hot as when first brewed. (This at the end of 8-9 hours)
2) Large push button often sticks and it's difficult to get it to release.
3) Hinged-lid is not very stable, mine broke within months. Pot still works, I use mine daily.
4) If you can find the one they make that has a lever-type pump, in my opinion, it's the greatest way to go. Not only does it pump better, but lastt longer also. Only replaced mine because I broke the liner and couldn't find a replacement at the time.
5) These are awesome for retaining heat, look nice sitting on the counter and you'll never again have to drink burnt coffee.

"Too fragile!", Glass vacuum casing broke the first time I used it. I can't find a replacement anywhere. Not recommended.
