"Panel Failed" My Euro-Pro fried wonderfully for 3 months. The panal has now failed and I am in the process and trying to get a new one. The problem maybe that the steam rising right into the control panel. This is a known problem with electronic controls. The later models have the control on the front - that might be better. "Stainless Steel Lemon" Unit would not hold any temperature settings. When checked with accurate thermometers, 350 degrees F read 220 degrees F, 375 degrees F read 230 degrees F. Unit was not functioning from very beginning. Unfortunately, wasted a bit of food, till I discovered it was taking "forever" to fry the simplest of foods. Food was so saturated with oil, I decided to check the digital read out with thermometers. The unit goes back tomorrow. Luckily I bought it from a local retailer. I cannot imagine paying postage to and from for defective merchandise. One mail order vender advertised this unit as "non returnable". Wow! The unit looks great, is easy to clean, but is a lemon ... would not trust Euro Pro ... too many negative reviews. "FRYER JUNK" I USED THE FRYER 3 TIMES. I CALLED: WAS TOLD TO PUSH THE RESET BUTTON. IT DID NOT WORK. CALLED BACK TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK TALKED TO SOMEONE WHO COULD NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. I SENT IT BACK INSURED, 1ST CLASS FOR $18.05 WITH A $14.95 CHECK FOR RETURN POSTAGE. CALLED HSN TOLD THEM, THEY SENT ME A SERVICE CONTRACT I BOUGHT. (DIDN'T REMEMBER) SAYING POSTAGE WAS PAID BOTH WAYS AND REPAIRS. NOW I'M TRYING TO GET MY $33.00 BACK. I WILL NEVER BUY EURO-PRO JUNK AGAIN. JHH "Product never worked - and customer service STINKS!" I received the fryer, and immediately invited friends over for a "fry fest". The oil heated up, I placed food in and within 20 minutes, the oil was no longer hot. The control panel was lit, but the oil did not maintain the temperature and did not heat up. RUINED FOOD!! So instead of returning it, I called Euro Pro - they promised to send me a new control panel immediately. 8 weeks later I received it. The control panel was not the same one that was originally in the fryer, and the magnetic break away cord did not fit on the "new" unit sent. So I called back, and was promised the new cord would be shipped within 48 hours. I still do not have the cord (it is STILL on its way - 2 1/2 weeks later). The woman at Euro Pro was very rude to me, and refused to refund my money if I were to return it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING 3 MONTHS FOR THIS FRYER TO BE USED! "Electronics Failure" The Euro-Pro fried excellently and the electronic panel was very easy to use. But after 3 months, the electronic panel failed and it rendered the fryer useless.

Euro-Pro F1063 5-Liter Stainless Steel Deep Fryer
Why I buy this one ? - Large capacity 5-liter professional-grade deep fryer - High-efficiency heating element immersed in oil for better temperature maintenance - Dual thermostats for faster and safer frying - Filter prevents splatter; window for watching frying progress - Dishwasher-safe filter, oil container, frying basket for convenience What our customer's say! "My experence will suprise you", I owned a quick serve restaurant for several years, and had a bank of 4 of these units on the counter. Although these units are for household use only, these baby's were on at least 8 hours a day, 7 days a week. For $75, they made a lot of money for me for the little investment I put into them. The literally cooked hundreds of pounds of french fries. The best experence I had with these were the "non-digital" style units. They lasted the longest, some for over a year! Yes, sometimes they would "kick off" and would have to push the reset button with a golf tee, but I never wasted any food using these. As with any other cooker, you have to watch what's going on. Don't bother using the temperature control temp settings ... just preheat the fryer at 320. Put in just a couple of fries to see if they bubble. If they do, put the rest in and crank the temp all the way up to maximum until finished cooking. When done, bring the temp knob back down to 320 if you are not going to be cooking another batch immediately. This will keep the oil hot without burning the oil. All in all, it's an amazing unit. The F1063 is the best model Euro Pro makes that I have used. The secret to great fries is the oil you use. Don't buy any oil at the supermarket. Go to Sams Club and buy the "Creamy Liquid Shortening" which is 100% soy. You'll now enjoy the best hand-cut (blanch, freeze for later, than cook again)or frozen fries you ever tasted! "deep fryer performance", this is the first deep fryer I've had in quite awhile, the food came out very evenly cooked and the recovery time for the temprature of the oil after putting cold food in was very quick. the see through glass on the lid fogged over almost instantly and it made it hard to see the food without taking off the lid, the filter on the lid kept alot of the deep fry smell out of the house, but not all of it. overall I am very impressed with the deep fryer "Euro-Pro F1063 5-Liter Stainless Steel Deep Fryer", easy to clean. takes a while to reach desired temperature. "No Frying Fryer", I bought this POS at a local retailer. It worked long enough to half cook the food during it's 1st use. I returned it, and got another one. This one didn't work at all. The third and final unit would constantly trip the circuit breaker. I returned the last one and got a refund. There is a hidden price to be paid for merchandise built by Tiawanese slave labor working in Chinese factories. The price is lack of quality. Thank you NAFTA!! (Yeah, right). Guess what?? Ross Peroit was right.... Don't waste your time or money on this garbage. Get a Presto Fry Daddy and be happy. The Fry Daddys work pretty well, just don't overload them so the oil's temperature drops too far at the beginning of the cook cycle. They don't recover very quickly, so the food gets soggy. Many small loads are MUCH better than a few oversize loads. "Husband loves it", My Husband and I have owned several deep fryers and this one is the best. He loves it so much. wants to fry something everyday. Highly recommend. ![]() Read this reviews before You buy... "Very Short Lived", Unlike the reviewer from Lexington NC (Short Lived, July 9, 2003), the fryer I received did not take six months for the circuit breaker to start popping. It started with the very first use and did it again on each of the next two uses. Fortunately for me it was within the first week after receiving the unit and I returned it. "Great fryer", This unit has worked great from the first use. It heats up very quickly and cleans easily. As with all fryers care should be taken not to overload it, particularly when frying food containing a high moisture content. That being said, this fryer has great capacity and maintains cooking temperature well. It does have a few sharp edges which can be touched up with a whetstone or file. "excellent buy", after trying all the others.fry daddys ect. this one really fries.tried chicken, fish, turkey breast, and french fries.they all came out perfect.i checked the temp setting with my thermoneter and it was right on the money. easy clean up. i highly recommend this fryerfourty years of cooking experience. "Short Lived!", Excellent product when first received. Food fried quickly, tasted great and the oil lasted longer. After about six months the circuit breaker on the fryer kept popping. I quickly discovered that the thermostat had gone bad allowing the fryer to overheat and trip the circuit breaker. Item is still under warranty but the postage to mail the item back for repair and back to me would equal half as much as the fryer cost. Think I will dispose of fryer and buy some thing different. "Fries Well -- But Use with GREAT Caution!", This Fryer cooks much better than the plastic enclosed ones. The 1700-Watt element makes crispy food. We had several problems on the first use. Battered items stuck to the basket and were very difficult to remove. Dropping them into the basket sitting in the oil resulted in my Wife almost getting her eyeball burned from hot, spattering cluster bombs. We tried to break up the stuck pieces of chicken nuggets at the bottom of the basket. They were very moist inside and not cooked yet. We placed the basket back into the fryer and it erupted and overflowed lots of hot oil onto the counter! It was a scary moment. The heating element is very hot and height of the Fryer is not high enough to prevent high-moisture boil-overs. Afterwards, as my Wife tried to clean the individual parts, she cut her finger on some sharp edges. It looks like a knife cut. This Fryer has some very sharp edges! Despite these serious problems, we like this item because, used with extreme caution, it kicks butt compared to other electric fryers and cuts down on the stovetop mess. But, the bad aspects include, great danger and it consumes nearly a gallon of oil to the full line. Use with extreme care and very careful common sense!! This is not a Toy! ![]() |
