"best"
This is the best vacuum i have bought. I averaged buying 3 vacuums a year, but now i have a Dyson i have not bought another one. Lots of extras. A super long cord too, i can plug it in and vacuum the whole house plus basement without onplugging it several times. Great suction!

"Eureka, this Vacuum Sucks!"
I bought this vacuum to replace my 1 year old Eureka, (see my review) I love it. It actually works quite well. Don't waste your money on $50 vacuums, sometimes it pays to buy one that sucks, this one sucks big time!

"Very powerful suction. Ingenious design."
I've had this vacuum cleaner for a month, and so far it's everything I expected it to be. A self-retracting cord would have been nice, but winding it when you're done only takes a minute. The stretching hose is really useful, although by the time I reach 11th step (out of 12) on my staircase, the wand becomes difficult to move around because of the tension, as the hose really wants to snap back. Still workable though. Suction is VERY strong, and doesn't seem to diminish throughout the process. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. Considering that the alternative for me would have been spending almost two thousand on a Rainbow, this is a very good value :-)

"great vacuum"
pro:
great suction, clear dust bin makes vacuuming kind of fun - "look at how much dog hair..."

con:
the "reversible" hose is kind of cumbersome to use.

I also looked at the dc15 because of some recent clearance sales elsewhere. Personally, I think the dc07 is easier to use when navigating around furniture and tight spaces.

"Amazing!"
You really don't know how poor of a job your current vacuum is doing until you go over the exact same areas with the Dyson DC07. It doesnt matter if its hardwood floors, or plush carpet, it is amazing what thiis vacuum can do. I am even surprised that it is quieter than most conventional vacuums. *Not really quiet, but the sound is different and not anywhere near as annoying.

$$$ but, you get what you pay for.

What our customer's say!

"Powerful but hose breaks", While I like this Dyson and it picks up great it certainly does clog (it picks up things not meant to be sucked up), it also loses suction when the filter piece dislodges (which it does often), and, we've had to replace the pull out hose twice (I am writing now because I'm now ordering a third. I vacuum two-three times a day and I think this may be too much for this vacuum. I expected more from a $450 vacuum.

"Pay a little more but your house will be much cleaner...", If you own a pet, the Dyson is a must. I purchased the low reach and I could not be happier. When it arrived, I had to fight my husband to get to use it. We were shocked at the amount of dirt and dog hair the vacuum was able to pick up the 1st time on the carpets. I used to vacuum daily because of the dog hair, now I can use the Dyson three times a week and my rugs look cleaner and better then ever. I also notice that the air in the house has less "dust" after I use the Dyson. I am so happy with this machine; it is heavy but in no way unmanageable. My three year old is able to use it, so how heavy can it be - also, I like the extra weight just for that reason - it is more stable. I love the attachments. The hose is great and I am able to do the steps, ceiling fan, and crown molding without a problem. My house feels cleaner using this machine. Well worth every penny. It puts a smile on my face when I see the canister full up, to think my old vacuum bag would last months without filling up - what does that tell you?

"Beyond Eureka!", This is the first Dyson vacuum cleaner that I've ever had the pleasure to own or use. Yes, pleasure. I love this vacuum. I'm a regular vacuum freak and thought that my house was clean. Imagine my surprise to see that this machine has sucked up more fine dust, dirt, and dingo (o.k. maybe not dingo, but ordinary dog hair) than I ever thought possible.

If you've never owned a Dyson, do yourself a favor and read the owner's manual before assembly and use. It is a little more complicated than plug and go, but worth the time and effort. All of the attachments except the low reach attachment store nicely on the machine.

Would I recommend this product? Absolutely! Light weight, great vacuum power, it is a great value and product.

"DC07 Dyson vacuum", The best vacuum I have owned. Even beats a Heritage, and a 1/3 of the price.

"Dyson Cyclone Vacs", Wish the Pet Hair option wasn't so much, would have gotten that one instead.

As advertised, never stops up, full suction all the time. I don't know how standard bag vacs can compete with the Dyson. Easy to use and a lot of unusual features like the removable metal wand / host tool that allows you use a flexiable hose or the metal wand.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Dyson Vacuum-AWESOME SWEEPER", The Dyson is worth every penny that it cost. It has the most suction of any vacuum I have ever had. Although the controls are not labeled on the vacuum, the book is very descriptive and detailed. Once you learn what every thing is for, it is easy to operate. The tools are very easy to store, and it is very easy to use to clean steps. I was truly amazed at how dirty my house was and how much my old sweeper was missing.

"Best $$ spent on this item", I was skeptical when purchasing the Dyson. I have only seen commercials about this new item. Upon receiving the product, putting it together was very simple, 5 minutes at most. The suction power on the vaccuum is superb; it picked up stuff I didn't know was even in the carpet. My previous vacuum was a pretty expensive Hoover and the Dyson kicked the Hoover out of the house. There was almost 2" of dirt and dust picked up by the Dyson. For anyone who has any doubts, mine were eased!! A great buy indeed!!

"NOT AS GOOD AS I THOUGHT...", I am a clean freak. I pretty much vacuum 2x/week. I've had this vacuum for a little over a year. When our last vacuum (Hoover Windtunnel) was on it's last leg, which lasted us about 4 years, I figured I would spend a little extra and get the Dyson. I hear so much about it and how great its suction power. Not to mention that I don't have to buy anymore bags and it's great for people with allergies. My oldest son has asthma, so I was sold on it.

Like I said, I've had this for over a year. When we first got it, it cleaned so well. You could actually feel how clean our carpet is, and it cleans tile floors just as well with the attachment. I was so happy and thought that it was so worth it. But now that I've had it for 14 months, it doesn't seem to have a powerful suction anymore. I figured for something that costs this much, it should last me at least 4 years like my Hoover did, if not longer. I don't know if I am just hard on vacuums or what since I do vacuum a lot, but isn't that what they are made for?

However, to be fair, I do love all the attachments it comes with. I can safely clean my leather sofa, and chairs with it. And the attachment for the stairs is wonderful--it really does the job. I just wish that the suction power is still as good as it was when I first got it. Dyson does claim that it's the only vacuum that doesn't lose it suction. And yes, I do clean the filter often and empty the bag before it's even full.

"Premium priced product that doesn't last, there are better value for money alternates", My DC07 animal is barely two years old and bits are breaking off already. Factor in the high purchase price with the cost of replacement parts and this is a very expensive machine to own. For a lower cost of ownership buy a fantom cyclone, dirt devil cyclone or similar and throw away when it finally breaks down.

I expect premium priced products to have better perfomance and last longer. check out the Consumer Reports, its not even the best vacuum for the money.

The only reason I gave one star is because that is the minimum. 0 stars from me

"Best suction in a vac!!", I vacuum almost everyday. I've had all kinds of vacs in almost all of the brands. This one is the best. As soon as I got it I put it to work. I couldn't believe how much dirt came out of my carpets. Very happy with my purchase. Worth every penny!!!
